Since they are a threat against other species, destroy farmlands and can spread dis-eases, they are often referred to as pests. Artificial selection has contributed to loss of genetic diversity in our domesticated animals. Feral animal populations are affected by natural selec-tion, which allows them to adapt to the environment. Their ability to adapt is a reason to see them as pests but can also be seen as an asset.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka effekter östutvidgningen kan ha på den svenska familjeförsäkringen. Arbetet fokuserar på Polens inträde i EU och en eventuell polsk immigration till Sverige. Metod: Undersökningen bygger på migrationsteorier och jämförelser med tidigare utvidgningar av den Europeiska Unionen och pekar på drivkrafter bakom immigration. Slutsatser: Arbetet visar på stora ekonomiska skillnader mellan Sverige och Polen och att det finns avsevärda incitament till immigration. Samtidigt ger tidigare utvidgningar prov på att människor i allmänhet är trogna sin hembygd.

The thesis explores the Uncovered Interest rate Parity (UIP) and the possibility of cross-currency arbitrage between England, Germany and Sweden. The data is gathered between May 1999 and December 2005 on a monthly basis and is compared using simple regression analysis. The aim is to find out whether UIP holds and, if it does not, a risk premium exists that makes it possible to make arbitrage gains on moving capital between England, Germany and Sweden. It is discovered that UIP does not hold and that cross-currency arbitrage possibilities exist. In the end a an attempt is made to practically show how the arbitrage possibility could be used for a real investor to make risk free gains from the Foreign Exchange market..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns en ökad korrelation mellan de europeiska börserna, både som medlemmar i EU och EMU. Då USA länge varit en ledande världsekonomi vill vi undersöka om dess inverkan på de europeiska börserna har förändrats. Metod: Vi har utifrån olika börsers dagliga avkastningar beräknat det månatliga medelvärdet och korrelationen. Resultaten har vi sedan jämfört för att finna samvariation. För att kunna se om korrelationerna skiljer sig åt har vi beräknat konfidensintervall.

There are several competing views on how to best utilize air power. Following his quantitative study of air power, Robert Pape developed a theory which focuses on undermining the target state's military strategy. According to Pape it is possible to explain the outcome as a result of military vulnerability. This essay seeks to determine if Pape's theory can predict the outcome of Operation Unified Protector. By using a mixed methods approach on four hypotheses, it will be determined if the operation was a successful case of coercion, if NATO acted according to Pape's model and whether this achieved the desired effects or not. The results reveal that the theory could not successfully predict the outcome of the conflict.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka sambanden mellan människors motivation till motion, hur de psykologiska behoven kan tillfredsställas samt hur målsättningar och självbestämmande motivationsprofil påverkar motionsbeteenden. Undersökningsdeltagarna i studien var 1100 motionärer (m = 45 år) som var medlemmar i en viktminskningsorganisation. Insamlingen av data skedde i form av en webbaserad enkätundersökning med mätinstrumenten Godin Leisure Time Exercise Questionnaire, The Behavioral Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire-2, The Basic Psychological Needs in Exercise Scale och Goal Content for Exercise Questionnaire. Resultatet visade i stort att en inre reglerad motivationsprofil samt inre målsättningar har ett positivt samband med tillfredsställelse av både de psykologiska behoven och ansträngande träningssnivå. Vidare visade resultatet att inre målsättningar har ett positivt samband med en självbestämmande motivationsprofil.

Studien undersöker, ur ett kvalitativt perspektiv, hur reglerna om anmälningsskyldighet i aktiebolagslagen har påverkat revisorsyrkets oberoende. Dogs with behavioral problemsThis study was made to investigate if there was a problem in today?s society regarding dogs showing for example excessive aggression and/or anxiety. The main questions in this study was "is there a problem today" and "if there is a problem, what can we do to prevent it". To investigate these questions interviews were made with six different professions concerning the dog domain. The result of the study shows that three of the interviewed considered it to be a problem, one did not have an opinion on the matter and two choose not to call it a dog related problem because it mostly depends on the owner.

This thesis examines the impact that the Euoropean Agricultural Policy has had on the tobacco regime during the years from the start of the Common Market Organization for Tobacco in 1970 til the days of today. The Truman method has been employed to estimate the degree of change of trade creation or trade diversion on the domestic market and also on the worldmarket. From these facts an analysis has been made to investigate how and if a new reform of the CMOT will affect the European tobacco market. Through the CMOT, the European Commission has tried to rise the quality level and the prices of raw tobacco growing in Europe. The european market value for tobacco has been rising and a marginal grade of of trade creation within the union and a grade of trade diversion to third countries has been shown since the implementation of the tobacco regime.

This master thesis in economics discusses the time use of today as well as the observed trends in time use over the last 20 years in Sweden. This is done by analysing time-use and consumption data at the microeconomic level, i.e. by explaining individual behaviour given the economic assumption of a rational behaviour. We reach the conclusion that the value of time is an important explanatory variable concerning the rationality in that time is used differently by different individuals and in the changed use of time. Furthermore, other variables such as social norms and the process benefit of a certain activity, i.e.

The reason for euthanasia may be depending on the animal, for instance illness, age and behavioral problems or depending on the needs of the owner or the society, so called convenience euthanasia. Many different euthanasia methods can be used when putting an animal to sleep. The method preferred in animal hospitals is pharmacological euthanasia either by inhalation of anesthetics or by injection of a euthanasia agent. If the pet owner wishes to be present during the procedure it is important to prepare him for what will happen. Many animals are sedated before the euthanasia in order to reduce anxiety and to ensure a softer transition between life and death. The euthanasia agent can then be administrated for instance intravenously or intraperitonealy.

The purpose of this study was to examine young offenders? attitudes towards crime, and to the penalty they have been sentenced to as juveniles. More specifically its aim was to examine an intervention program called Galaxen, specifically used  to deal with  juveniles  in Växjö. This intervention program consists mainly of conversations with social workers from social services,  aiming  towards  better  self-awareness  and  the  ability  to  understand  the  consequences  of one?s actions.
