Enskilda organisationer och biståndsarbete -En studie om politiska föreställningar och delaktighet, ur den fattiges perspektiv

Since the 1970`s the Non Governmental Organisations, NGO:s, have taken an increasing responsibility in the development cooperation work. Apart from an increase in resources delivered through the NGO:s it is also obvious in various official documents that the idea of NGO:s in regards to; reaching and involving poor people in the work and as capable of delivering aid resources to a low cost, is very widely spread and commonly accepted among political decision makers and aid agencies. In addition it?s very seldom that those positive statements about the NGO:s abilities, are backed by any kind of scientific study. This study argues that the ascribed abilities are more the rhetoric of a political idea than an empirical reality.

The purpose with this essay is to evaluate the retrieval performance between Googles basic search and the advanced search functions. A secondary purpose is to evaluate the differences between the binary relevance scale and a 4- point scale. The basic search is defined as a search with two terms combined with the Boolean operator AND. The advanced search is based on search functions that are adequate to compare to the basic search. They are categorized as AND-searches, OR-searches, AND and OR-searches, exact phrase, and depending on where the terms occur on the page.

Geografisk presentation av statistik på Internet: Web Mapping

Arbetet som utförts består av två applikationer där båda presenterar information geografiskt på internet. Applikationerna har konstruerats i utvecklingsverktyget Visual Basic och med GIS-programvarorna MapObjects och MapObjects Internet Map Server. Den första applikationen som tillverkades är helt HTML-baserad (HTML är ett språk som används för att konstruera sidor på internet), vilket betyder att den fungerar som vilken sida som helst på internet, bortsett från att den kräver att en kartserver alltid har igång kartan i applikationen. Speech disorders are common in children with 22q11-deletion syndrome, but there is limited knowledge about speech in adults with this syndrome. The aim of this study is to describe speech and voice in adultswith 22q11-deletion syndrome, and compare the results with a control group.Ten adults between 19-49 years participated in each group. The study wasbased on the Swedish dysarthria assessment, Dysartribedömningen. Thetested abilities were respiration, phonation, oral motor function, velopharyngeal function, articulation, prosody and intelligibility. Communicative participation was examined as well.

The task of this project was to build an computer processing system for pressureregulation, in which the pressure loss over the open hydrolicvalve should be kept as low as possible. By using an cross connected proportional directional valve the valve problem could be solved. The control- and regulationproblem for the pressureregulation system was solved by using the DAQ- card NI6035E from National Instruments and the computerprogram Automatic Pressure Control 1.0 which has been software developed and written in Visual Basic. The purpose of this project is to analyze and study the absorption of the substances ivermectin, spinosad and barettin to hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces, and to analyze and study if the barnacle larva are effected when they try to settle on the treated surface.Incubation tests with barnacle larva in Petri dishes were performed as well as absorption tests on hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces which were tested with ellipsometry. To determine the surface thickness.The barnacles were placed in hydrophobic as well as hydrophilic Petri dishes that had been incubated with ivermectin, spinosad or barettin. After four to six days the larva was counted to analyze the settling. The features of the process organisation were a flexible organisational that works in a world where the pace of development is increasing all the time. This essay deals with how the development of society, the media society in particular, has an impact on the teaching of the subject of art. In the society of today, we are bombarded with more images than ever before. As an effect of this, the curriculum of 2011 emphasises the importance of the ability to orientate oneself in the modern society. Furthermore, it describes art not only as a practical subject, but also as a verbal and community-orientated subject. Because of sparse and dated research, the subject of art is in danger of marginalization as a school subject. The purpose of this study is to illustrate art teachers? conception of the aim of the subject of art.

Varför undervisa om Förintelsen? : En intervjustudie om hur historielärare i högstadietundervisar om Andra Världskriget och Förintelsen i samband medvärdegrundsarbetet

This is an interview- and literature study that discusses teaching about the Second World War and the Holocaust, while working with the basic values in grade 7-9.The purpose with this examination is to see how teachers of history in grade 7-9 choose to teach about the Second World War and the Holocaust, how they work to integrate the basic values in their education and whether the teachers? education can be sustained by the Swedish school curricula.In this study I?ve been doing qualitative interviews with five teachers of history in grade 7-9 from different schools. I have also perused the Swedish school curricula and read some literature and studies about different ways of dealing with the subject: the Holocaust.According to the central parts of the Swedish curricula, LGR 2011, the fields about the Holocaust and the 20.century World Wars are to be studied during grade 7-9. All my respondents in the study teach about this think that the most important thing with this complex time in history, is to give the students a deeper understanding for the time leading up to the beginning of the  Second World War in 1939, and why the Holocaust actually took place.Regarding the work with the basic values, all the five respondents agree on the fact that, this subject shall permeate the entire work at school, all the time, every day, but that it?s absolutely essential while studying the Holocaust.

Offensiven vid Isonzofronten : En studie om hur Rommel nyttjade de grundläggande förmågorna under slaget vid Isonzo 1917

Vid genomföranden av markoperationer tillämpas de grundläggande förmågorna, verkan, rörelse, skydd, ledning, underrättelser - information samt uthållighet. Under slaget vid Isonzo 1917 nådde den österrikisk-ungerska och tyska styrkan stora framgångar genom nyttjandet av dessa förmågor mot sin italienska motståndare.I den här uppsatsen är Rommels styrkor i fokus under tiden den 25 och 26 oktober 1917. Specifika händelser vid den tidpunkten är vägspärren som tyskarna upprättade på Savogonavägen samt framryckningen till byn Jevscek och intagandet av denna. En fallstudie av dessa händelser har genomförts. Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera hur Rommel nyttjade de grundläggande förmågorna. Detta har gjorts genom att använda de sex grundläggande förmågorna som en teoretisk modell.

Vad avgjorde utgången vid slagen vid Narva och Poltava : Fältherrens styrning eller andra faktorer?

Tesen att en fältherre hade små möjligheter att styra ett slag när det väl hade börjat har framförts av författaren Peter Englund. Denna tes delar forskare i två läger där det andra lägret menar att fältherren hade mycket stor betydelse för utgången av ett slag. Syftet med denna uppsats är tvådelat. Den första delen i syftet är att undersöka om det fanns faktorer andra än fältherrens styrning som kunde avgöra ett dåtida slag och den andra delen i syftet är att se om det går att applicera moderna doktriner i analysen av dåtida fall. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att fältherren hade små möjligheter att styra slaget men det fanns med ett energiskt och karismatiskt föregångsmannaskap möjlighet att påverka slaget. Det framgår tydligt faktorer i slagen som fältherren inte kunde styra över. Svaret är att en kombination av fältherrens påverkan och andra faktorer avgör ett slag, ingendera står ensam.Syftet uppfylls med att det finns andra faktorer identifierade och en modern doktrin går att använda vid analysen..

I demokratins vagga : en essä om demokratins väg på förskolan

This essay is about how basic democratic values are formed in preschool. I have focused on children´s abilities to take on responsibility and also, on the importance of relationships in the development of democratic values in preschool.This essay starts in self-perceived dilemmas, based on my own feeling that the children should have more rights and that the preschool often has too many unreflected rules and routines. The dilemma has been reflected on and has been discussed in relation to other theories. I have also reflected on my own behavior as a teacher and to what extent this behavior has influence on the outcome.The relationship between the governing documents and the work in preschool has been reviewed with the conclusion that they are not synchronized with each other.The investigation shows several examples of the meaning of a good working relationship between teacher and child and that children´s own sense of responsibility should be taken seriously and be recognized as a resource.In the discussion with the theories a connection between democracy, relationships and children´s responsibility was detected. The meaning of a good working communication and the teacher?s significance for the development is central and is made visible and problematized.The concluding words show how the approach to democratic and fundamental values must come to a change in preschools, a change that the teacher partly is responsible for.
