Vårdrelaterade infektioner [VRI] skapar onödigt lidande för patienter, förlänger vårdtider och kostar samhället enorma summor varje år. Det är därför viktigt att öka personalens kunskaper och följsamhet till gällande föreskrifter angående basala hygienrutiner. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa vårdpersonalens följsamhet, synliggöra mindre uppmärksammade smittkällor och redogöra för de åtgärder med vilka man kan minska spridningen av VRI. Artiklar samt litteratur till denna systematiska litteraturstudie söktes främst via sökmotorn ELIN, tillgänglig vid Högskolan Dalarnas bibliotek samt Mora Lasaretts bibliotek och Orsa- och Moras kommunbibliotek. Artiklar som inkluderades var publicerade 2000-2009, tillgängliga i fulltext, ej avgiftsbelagda eller skrivna på andra språk än engelska och svenska.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the quality notions used by the library personnel responsible for the video game department at Malmo City Library. Furthermore, the thesis aims to assess how these notions of quality relate to properties of the actual collection of video games. The empirical results are based on interviews with the responsible library personnel. The result is then analyzed by an interpretation of Carl Gustav Johannsen?s library adapted, theory-based, model of quality definitions.

In forestry there are always needs of forest data to make good strategic decisions of different actions and economic winning. StoraEnso Skog is a great forest company in Sweden and they have part of the responsibility of the forest own by Bergvik Skog. Bergvik Skog is owner of 1, 9 million hectares productive forest land. Both Bergvik and StoraEnso have great interest in new inventory techniques to get the important forest data. The company Foran Remote Sensing offers the opportunity with airborne laserscanning of forest and forest land. Foran got the mission of Bergvik and StoraEnso to laser scan Bergviks possession in Älvdalen, Dalarna.

However, reporting these incidents is not always a positive experience. The number of incident reports which are documented are a lot fewer than the number of incidents that actually occur. The purpose of the present study was to describe factors that affect nurses? decisions on whether to report an incident or not.

ABSTRACT The aim of this thesis is to illustrate how surgical operation theatre nurses perceive debriefing within emergency health care. The study has a qualitative design with semi structured interviews that have been performed with seven operating room nurses working in emergency health care. The strategic selection consists of professional operation theatre nurses working in emergency care at Uppsala University Hospital. The main goal of this thesis is to increase the understanding of debriefing and to highlight the need of debriefing after difficult or unexpected events in the emergency health care profession.The interviewed nurses perceive debriefing as an important way to develop the day to day work, but also as a way to unburden the staff at the time of bigger traumas. Even though the effect of debriefing is not univocally positive in the literature, the staff perceives that it reduces different kinds of stress.

The study focuses on mapping how well prepared the counties in the west region of Sweden is in case of restructuring. The study explores what kind of activities and routines that contributes to prepare the organization for restructuring. The study also aims to investigate the effect of precedent restructuring, and if the counties who experienced restructuring are more prepared than others.The research within the field of restructuring characterizes of an evaluating nature and the focus has been after the restructuring occurred. There have also been a lot of studies of the negative consequences on individual and organizational level. Since downsizing is a frequently used method by management despite its consequences is it important to investigate how organizations can learn and thereby be more prepared for restructuring.

Light pollution in urban areas - How to prevent light pollution at construction Jakob Sjöling Light pollution is a relatively new but rapidly growing form of pollution. Society's increasing demand for light coupled with the pace at which lighting technology evolves is accelerating that growth. The purpose of this study was to analyse how the construction industry plan and design outdoor lighting when erecting new buildings, specifically with regards to the issue of light pollution. It also investigated how local authorities work with these issues during urban planning. In both cases special interest was placed in ways to improve the planning and use of outdoor lighting in order to minimize light pollution.

Trots att socialbidraget är utformat som ett kortvarigt stöd är det allt fler människor i Sverige som uppbär bidrag en längre tid. Inom ramen för den skäliga levnadsnivån som socialbidraget ska se till att upprätthålla finns ingen plats för onödiga utgifter samtidigt som konsumtion blivit allt mer viktigt i dagens samhälle. Rätten till socialbidrag omgärdas av hårda krav och en mängd negativa uppfattningar från omgivningen. Syftet är att undersöka socialsekreterares bild av och ensamstående socialbidragstagares upplevelser av att leva relativt fattigt i jämförelse med omgivningen under en längre tid.Vi har utgått från frågeställningar om upplevelser av långvarigt biståndstagande och konsumtion, omgivningens påverkan samt bidragets utformning.För att besvara frågeställningarna har kvalitativa intervjuer gjorts med fyra socialsekreterare och fem klienter. Klienterna som intervjuats lever eller har levt på socialbidrag under en längre tid och socialsekreterarna jobbar med handläggning av försörjningsstöd.

One of the main objectives of all food production is to produce foods that can safely beconsumed without fear of being sick. Despite this hundreds of people are affected in Sweden offood poisoning almost every day. Most cases are caused by a small group of so-called pathogenicmicroorganisms. The most frequently affected are the small children, the elderly, persons withreduced resistance and pregnant. The reasons behind the food poisoning are often ignorance andlack of food hygiene.

The aim of this thesis is to study what impact the USA Patriot act has had on American libraries. The authors intent has been to see what changes have occurred in the librarians work-routines and to study their attitudes toward the Patriot act. The authors have also intended to find out what the consequences would be for the libraries. The findings are related to Swedish circumstances. The material used in this thesis consists of six interviews conducted at three libraries in the Bay Area in California.

The aim of the study was to examine prerequisites for the changes that are taking place within working with Intimate Partner Violence in Västra Hisingen (a municipal district in Gothenburg, Sweden). My research questions concerned incentives for the new features, their practical consequences and prerequisites for implementation. The study has been performed by three focus group interviews with different parts of the organization represented. The work material has then been analyzed using Implementation Theory, Human Service Organization Theory and theories on breaking up. The study showed that all respondents were motivated to perform the changes, but also that there were significant differences between the groups? conceptions of what implementation demands, and of the organizational support today.

This study was performed in collaboration with Moelven Skog AB, Örebro district. The purpose of the study was to review existing literature in order to describe the current status of harvester based measurement technology as the way to provide information for calculating payment to the forest owners. In addition to this, a short survey was conducted to find out how a switch to harvester based measurement would affect the administrative workload on timber purchasers working for the district. The literature study shows that the harvester measurement technology is ready to use if it is combined with well-established routines for control of the harvesters, methods for automatic quality indexing of the timber and ways of creating pricelists specially adapted for harvester measurement. Pricing each stem seems to be the most promising method. Stem pricing has several benefits.

Den huvudsakliga orsaken är bristande handhygienrutiner och problemet skulle kunna elimineras med högre följsamhet. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att belysa faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskors följsamhet till basala hygienrutiner inom somatisk vård. Metod: En litteraturöversikt där artiklar med kvalitativ och kvantitativ inriktning som uppfyllde förutbestämda krav utvaldes för analys. Tolv artiklar selekterades fram.
