With starting point in the increasing ill-health in Swedish working life today, in form of for example absence due to sickness and early retirement pension, and the knowledge that the working environment effects peoples health in a big extent, I found it very interesting to inquire into how people within the working life experience health promotion and how this can be developed. A qualitative method was used to receive a deeper understanding for the employees? experiences and data was collected through semi structured interviews with employees on a bank called Ikanobanken, in Älmhult. The result shows, among other things, that respondents find responsibility and the opportunity to influence the learning processes and development important. It also became clear that the respondents find participation, motivation, communication and safety essential factors when related to changes in health behaviours.

This essay deals with the industrial past, present and future and begins with the impact and importance the industrial revolution has had on us humans, socially, economically and structurally. Today's society has developed from industrial production of goods to the production of services but the industrial sites remains. The essay examines issues concerning the protection of the industrial environment, their status as a cultural heritage, what is done with our industrial heritage and the opportunities it has for the future. Malmö has a great industrial history and now one of the cities oldest industrial sites, the north of Sorgenfri, will be transformed. This paper discusses animal welfare, and Sweden, as an EU member state, has a responsibility toensure that official animal welfare inspections are carried out in accordance with communityregulations. The first of January 2009, the welfare moved from the municipalities in to the 21county administrative boards. This restructuring was made due to the deficiencies that the auditconducted by the EU of the FVO (Food and Veterinary Office) 2003 found in the Swedishsystem. Sweden failed in coordination and inspection to ensure animal welfare.The aim of this examination paper is to shed light on animal welfare work operated in the countyof Halland and in Sweden in general. Bakgrund: Idag finns det en uppsjö av informationskällor med kost- och hälsobudskap som man utsätts för både frivilligt och ofrivilligt. Det finns också många olika åsikter gällande vilken kost som är bra och mindre bra för kroppen och hälsan. Studier har visat att bland annat statliga myndigheter, media och förebilder kan påverka inställningen till intag av vissa komponenter i kosten. Det är en intressant fråga vad man anser vara en pålitlig källa till kostinformation och vilka av dessa som används mest.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka de mest använda källorna till kostinformation är samt hur deras trovärdighet upplevs av individer som tränar på gym i åldern 18-28 år.Metod: En kvantitativ enkätstudie med 123 deltagare genomfördes. Enkäten innehöll ett attitydformulär om hur man ställer sig till olika källor om kostinformation.

This Bachelor thesis deals with the act of the British Labour Party when they recalled a referendum promised by former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Tony Blair promised a referendum on the Constitutional Treaty, but his successor Gordon Brown later recalled it when the Lisbon Treaty succeeded the Constitutional Treaty as the legal foundation of the European Union.The main purpose of this thesis was to with help from various theorethical frameworks explain why the Labour Party decided to do this, even if this decision gave the main opposition party, the Conservative and Unionist Party (the Tories), the chance to heavily critisize the Labour Party, and picture them as traitors.The research questions were:? What are the reasons that the Labour Party went from being a Eurosceptical party, to become more pro-European?? Why did the Labour Party cancel the promised referendum on the new treaty of the European Union?Various answers were found for the first research question. Among the most important was that it was a part of the over all transition which led to the launch of New Labour.The second research question was answered with three explanatory models based on actions of the Labour Party on three arenas; the electoral arena (based on power, this model claims that the Labour Party act as they do because the know the Tories would not act differently if they were in office), the parliamentary arena (based on ideology, this model claims that Labour want the Lisbon Treaty because it has a stronger social dimension than earlier treaties) and the internal arena (based on the problem of identification, this model claims that the Labour Party identifies itself with the British government, and not just the voters, and are afraid of damaging Britain?s influence in the EU and international politics if Britain says ?no? to the Lisbon Treaty)..

The thesis aims to compare differentpiping materials in heating systems interms of cost as well as to illustratethe impact of energy characteristics ofdifferent materials over its servicelife. The methods used for costcalculations regarding piping are alsoto be examined to highlight thedifferences between template basedcalculations and more carefully executedones. The work is delimited to discusspipes of steel, copper, plastics andcomposites. The aim is that the resultcan be compiled to illustrate the prosand cons of various materials whenevaluating investments.The main object of the survey is part ofa heating system in the office-block KVSommaren located in southern Stockholm.The configured piping system is designedwith the mentioned piping materials andis used to make up the data for flow andcost calculations. The differentmaterials are calculated in both aconventional manner with a supplementarycost for additional fittings and with amore accurate quantification of thecomponents.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka i vilken utsträckning bankerna arbetar med de styrverktyg som kan användas under kredituppföljning av små företag, samt hur användningen av dessa påverkas av bankens relation med företaget. Detta görs genom att beskriva bankernas arbetssätt under kredituppföljningen, undersöka i vilken utsträckning styrverktygen används samt kontrollera om det finns några samband mellan relationen och styrverktygens användning. Den frågeställning som valdes var: I vilken utsträckning arbetar de svenska bankerna med styrverktygen under kredituppföljningen av små företag? Studiens problemformulering besvaras genom en kvantitativ metod och empirin har samlats in genom enkäter som besvarats av respondenter på Swedbank, Nordea, SEB, Handelsbanken och Danske Bank. De slutsatser som framkom var att svenska banker följer upp sina krediter till små företag minst en gång per år men att det sker oftare för vissa typer av företag.

Problem: Hur tillfredställda är bankkunder med sin banks tillgänglighet? Vilka kundsegment efterfrågar utökad service och hur lönsamma är de?Syfte: Genom vår studie av bankernas olika kundsegment och med dessas innehavande ekonomiska engagemang i banken, avser vi att belysa kundernas attityder och uppfattningar kring bankernas utökade tillgänglighet, och vad de efterfrågar i sitt möte med banken.Teori I vår teoretiska referensram behandlar vi främst fem olika teoriområden; försäljningsarbetets utveckling, positionering, banktjänster, service, relationsmarknadsföring samt gruppsegmentering.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvantitativ undersökningsmetod för vår studie. Vår undersökning omfattas av 103 svarande respondenter med en genomförd enkät.Resultat: Banktillgängligheten överlag är en mycket viktig servicefaktor. Studiens respondenter är nöjda med tillgängligheten, samtidigt som efterfrågan mot en utökad tillgänglighet är mycket låg. Vidare visar vår studie att de kunder som har ett stort ekonomiskt engagemang också är de kunder med högst lönsamhet.

The process of drug discovery is very slow and expensive. There is a need for reliable in silico methods; however the performance of these methods differs.This work presents a targeted study on how the drug discovery methods used in OpenEye?s tools ROCS, EON and FRED perform on targets with small ligands. It was examined if 12 compounds (markers) somewhat similar to AMP could be detected by ROCS in a random data set comprised of 1000 compounds. It was also examined if EON could find any electrostatic similarities between the queries and the markers.

Abstract A phenomenon that has been noticed more and more in media and the public space in recent years is what is called guerrilla gardening. It means the illicit cultivation of someone else?s land. This report's intention is to analyze what impact guerrilla gardening could have on today's urban space in terms of stable changes in norms and physical design. I have also focused on guerrilla gardener?s choice to carry out these actions illegally, without asking for permission, and what impact that could have on the issue of appropriating public space.

This examination work is performed at the institution of industrial economy and production at Jonkoping technical university, for JELD-WEN Door Solutions plant in Forserum.Today the focus in the company is on to reduce their inventories binding of capitals as well as inventory of products and that includes to get a good control of the supply and handling of material which is of great importance.JELD-WEN Door Solutions is one of the worlds leading producers of windows and doors and the head-office is located in Oregon, USA.A great number of wooden doors are manufactured by the company in varying of constructions, classifications and performance.The production of the plant in Forserum has a project- and customer focus manufacturing where only internal doors are produced. The overall market they are concentrated on is to different institution such as schools, hospitals etc.The purpose of this work is to investigate possibilities to improvement of material- and production control at JELD-WEN. The report will handle the master production schedule to and from the production divisions within manufacturing industry. Focus will be on the way for information- and material flows from arrival, transport within the company and further on to customers.Further a map of the flow was performed which gave a clearer picture of the connection between the flow of information- and material for the manufacturing process. On the basis of the mapping of the flow, the group discovered that the flow of material had some improvement potential.

Bakgrund och problem: Kundlönsamhetsanalyser har sedan en längre tid utförts inombankbranschen (Söderlund, 1997). Banker rankar själva kundlönsamhet som en ytterst viktig faktor försin fortlevnad (Hart & Smith, 1998). Trots att kundlönsamhet har varit känt som begrepp sedan enlängre tid tillbaka och att användningen av kundlönsamhetsanalyser är utbredd, finns det endast enbegränsad mängd empirisk forskning kring hur praktiskt arbete bedrivs inom området (Cäker, 2000).Vi har därför funnit det vara intressant att utföra en empirisk studie om hur styrning sker för att uppnåkundlönsamhet på den svenska bankmarknaden, eftersom det är uppenbart att det finns motiv för attarbeta med detta område.Syfte: Studien syftar till att ge en bred bild av hur styrning för att uppnå kundlönsamhet sker på densvenska bankmarknaden. En rättvisande och bred bild skapas genom att kartlägga och analysera bådestorbanker och nischbanker i studien, eftersom den svenska bankmarknaden inbegriper båda dessabankkategorier. Fokus i studien ligger på storbankerna och studiens tyngdpunkt läggs i dengeneralisering som ämnas göras av storbankernas styrning.

Problem: Trots att betalkort funnits länge i samhället, så används idag kontanter fortfarande i stor utsträckning. Handhavandet av kontanter innebär höga kostnader, dels på grund av extraarbetet det innebär för butiker att räkna pengar varje dag, dels för bankpersonal som ska sköta insättningar och uttag och dels för kostnader till vaktbolag som sköter penningtransporter. Om man vet varför kontanter fortfarande används till så stor utsträckning och till vad, så kan man rikta in sina insatser på var man ska öka betalkortsanvändningen. Avgränsningar: Fokus i denna uppsats är på samtliga svenska konsumenter som har rättighet att få ha betalkort från en bank. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om produktegenskaper såsom pris och kvalité påverkar valet om att betala med kort eller kontant.

My objective with the work, Travel Sketches, is to develop an approach to sketching as a landscape architect in connection with the field trip. Previous experiences and reference places are vital parts during the creation of new design proposals. It is by visiting and experiencing places that valuable knowledge is acquired. By sketching on site, with for example a pen and paper, a bank of reference objects will be established as well as an understanding of their practical success. Experiences and sketching are the basic tools of an architect.

Med anledning av ett antal redovisningsskandaler i början av 2000-talet har revisorers oberoendeställning gentemot klientföretagen kommit att diskuteras. I USA väcktes därför frågan om ett införande av revisorsrotation alternativt byrårotation. På grund av bristande erfarenhet inom området ansåg den amerikanska kongressen att beslut om byrårotation inte kunde fattas och således infördes endast revisorsrotation. I samband med detta införande fick U.S Government Accountability Office (GAO) i uppdrag att, genom en kvantitativ studie i form av enkätundersökning, undersöka vilka potentiella effekter ett införande av byrårotation skulle få på de amerikanska publika företagen.  Med utgångspunkt i den av GAO genomförda undersökning utformades denna uppsats för att på liknande sätt undersöka de potentiella effekterna av ett eventuellt införande av obligatorisk byrårotation i Sverige. Uppsatsens syfte bygger på att undersöka hur CFO:n, eller motsvarande befattningshavare, på samtliga företag noterade på Nasdaq OMX Stockholm ser på förslaget om ett införande av obligatorisk byrårotation, samt vilka för- och nackdelarna anses vara.
