Objectives. The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between the personality variables Multidimensional Health Locus of Control (MHLC), Negativ affect and Social inhibition (the D-personality), and health behavior and attitudes toward keep-fit measures.Methods. The participants in this study were 170 embloyees at a regional social insurance office in a midsize town in the south of Sweden. Scales concerning health behavior and attitudes toward keep-fit measures were constructed and the participants completed these scales as well as those of MHLC and D-personality.Results. Participants with strong beliefs that other people, such as doctors or family-members, are responsible for their health, showed a more positive attitude as to keep-fit measures than those with a belief that health is controlled by themselves.

Our purpose was to research the new reform amendment" Lag om etableringsinsatser för vissa nyanlända invandrare", and whether the establishment of the reform is good and if it was a necessary amendment. For that reason, we have chosen to answer our purpose in these issues with this question formulation; how can the change of the law establishing operations influence the newcomers in the labour market, the problems the law intends to address, how the new change in the law is different from when the municipality "kommun" was responsible, and how the law can be discussed based on theories of social capital and weak ties. The method used in this study is from a adductive approach where the research is based on both empirical evidence and existing theory that interact between these two. The results that emerged in our work was that the newcomers within the labour market has been remote, the way the municipality?s addressed the problem did not work and the result of this was a new reform amendment, where a new participant established.

The veterinary handling of wildlife, both in zoos and in the wild, commonly requires that the patients need to be captured and immobilized for examination or treatment. This emphasises the need for quick, on-site, laboratory equipment, in order to minimize the analysis time and thus the stress for the animal and also in order to increase the possibility of starting relevant treatment early on. The aim of this pilot study was to determine whether Serum Amyloid A (SAA) could be a measured in blood samples from bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) and South American tapirs (Tapirus terrestris). SAA rises to its maximum about 24 hours after the introduction of an inflammatory agent in companion animals. This also correlates with the estimated time it takes for animals at Kolmården Wildlife Park to be examined and having blood samples collected after being observed as sick. The study also evaluated whether the Eurolyser SOLO, using a turbidometric immunoassay (TIA) developed for human diagnostics, could be used for such analysis. This pilot study was a retrospective analysis of SAA in convenience sampled frozen serum, collected from dolphins, elephants and tapirs.

Syfte med förändringarna var bland annat att förmå banker att ge krediter utifrån en lönsamhetsbedömning av projekten med fokus på företagets återbetalningsförmåga. This study aims to identify the municipalities of Hallands? methods, guidelines and policies in integration concerning new arrivals of children and teenagers. Some of the new arrivals are under the power of Swedish Migration Board and some of them are by a contract handed over to the municipalities. The evaluation is based on Michael Lipskys street-level bureaucracy which puts its focus on the lower level of bureaucrats meeting with clients. The frame is Skolverkets guideline for education of new arrivals which is more or less a way towards a common policy.

Intervjuer har genomförts med sex personer i olika positioner inom en turkisk bank. Den här uppsatsen handlar om motivation av personal på svenska storbankers kundcenter. Bak­grunden till uppsatsen är dels diskussionen kring kundcenters ökade betydelse för företag samt problematiken kring vilka motivationsteorier som är lämpliga att använda för att moti­vera personal inom en organisation.I uppsatsen studeras personal från tre stora svenska storbankers kundcenter genom ett om­fattande enkätutskick. Uppsatsen har visat att den viktigaste faktorn för att personal på kund­center ska känna sig motiverade är att ha bra relationer med sina kollegor och överordnade. Uppsatsen har också visat att innehållsbaserade motivationsteorier är användbara för att stu­dera hur olika anställda skiljer sig i vad de värderar mest för att bli motiverade, att innehålls­baserade motivationsteorier kan användas för att förklara varför de flesta av dessa skillnader existerar samt att Herzbergs tvåfaktorsteori inte kan användas för att förklara hur mänskliga relationer påverkar en anställds motivation. .

Trots att fler och fler bankkunder uträttar sina bankärenden via Internet ökar antalet bankkontor i Sverige. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vilka tjänster den internetbaserade privatkunden utför på bankkontoret samt varför kunden väljer denna kanal. Genom telefonintervjuer med privatpersoner har information samlats in och vår undersökning visar att kontoret används i en mängd ärenden, både enkla som komplexa. Det intressanta som uppsatsen visat är att det finns en skillnad mellan vad personerna anser att de uträttar på kontoret och vad de faktiskt uträttat på kontoret. Majoriteten av de personer som intervjuats anser att de använder kontoret till mer komplexa tjänster och detta för att kontoret är den enda kanal där möjligheten finns att träffa en bankperson, ansikte mot ansikte.

The mobile revolution is here to stay, and today most people have (at least) one cell phone at home. Some even a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant)as a complement for the simpler tasks at the office, e.g sending e-mail, word processing, browsing the Internet etc. Many business have also given the employees the opportunity to do some of the business tasks inbetweeen customer visits with the help from a cell phone or PDA.Despite all this, the so called Internet connected mobile revolution is often mentioned as a big failure. Maybe because the people in general tended not to use the new technology as much as the companies predicted. This could be because they still haven't learned how it works, or just don't seem to have the need for services provided.After a couple of failures in the development process, almost every cell phone has support for mobile Internet today.
