Abstract Background: The World Health Organization has expressed a great concern about the increasing prevalence of childhood obesity. Region Västra Götaland (VGR) has developed a web based program to support school nurses in their work to promote health among children with obesity. Previous research on childhood obesity emphasizes the importance of support from nurses and how their work is organized. Aim: The aim of the study is, firstly, to explore school nurses experiences with health promotion work among obese children. Secondly, to investigate whether school nurses use the salutogenic theory of health.

Våren 2013 tilldelades jag ett stipendium finansierat av Swedish International Development cooperation Agency (SIDA). Jag fick därmed möjligheten att genomföra en studie som undersöker quechuaundervisningens betydelse för det bolivianska mångkulturella samhället. Enligt den nya utbildningslagen 070 Avelino Siñani - Elizardo Pérez skall alla elever i Bolivias grundskola undervisas i det ursprungsspråk som talas i respektive region. Syftet med studien är att undersöka svårigheter som lärare och rektorer har mött under implementeringen av quechuaundervisningen. Eftersom avkolonisering är ett starkt ord i den nya utbildningslagen avser jag även att undersöka hur olika människor definierar begreppet.

Syfte: Denna uppsats har som syfte att kartlägga vilka motiv företag har för konstinvesteringar och om dessa är försvarbara utifrån en företagsekonomisk synvinkel samt att utreda om en konstinvestering kan vara ett alternativ till traditionella finansiella investeringar. Metod: I uppsatsen används en induktiv ansats med en kvalitativ datainsamling. Empiri: Empirin består av fyra företag, Tetra Pak, AstraZeneca, Färs och Frosta Sparbank samt Vinge.

År 2000 invigdes Öresundsbron mellan Malmö och Köpenhamn. Drömmen var att genom Öresundsbron skapa en region som kunde agera som motpol till den svenska och danska staten där de kulturella, sociala och ekonomiska skillnaderna mellan Sverige och Danmark kunde utjämnas. En fast länk mellan de två närliggande ländema sågs som ett tecken på tillväxt och sågs som en bidragande faktor till en ökning av sysselsättningseffekten i regionen. Den nu förkortade resan till grannlandet har medfört en ökad närhet mellan myndigheter, näringsliv och samhälle i Öresundsregionen vilket har skapat ett konkurrenskraftigt samarbete och placerat regionen på väridskartan. En gemensam bostads- och arbetsmarknad har formats och möjliggjort en vardaglig integration mellan grannländerna.

In metropolitan areas where the exploitation pressure increases, also the importance to point out nature areas grows, both for the sake of outdoor life and for biodiversity conservation. Since nature conservancy and spatial planning constitute two different parts of the municipalities land use control, a case study has been carried out in two municipalities in the Stockholm region, Huddinge and Järfälla. Both these municipalities have protected about one third of their land and today there are plans to repeal parts of the reserves to enable exploitation. This thesis shows ? from the theoretical concept of sustainable development ? officials, politicians and non-governmental organizations perspectives on questions concerning land use together with the work with nature reserves and repeals.

Bakgrund: Under de senaste åren har allt fler svenska företag utvidgat sin verksamhet i den baltiska region. Detta innebär att företaget möter en mängd komplexa faktorer som har sin grund i kulturella skillnader. Det ekonomiska styrsystemet är ett medel för moderbolaget med vilket kontroll utövas för att försäkra sig om att beslutsfattandet i dotterbolaget är i enlighet med hela företagets intresse. Utformningen av det ekonomiska styrsystemet påverkas även till stor del av det sovjetiska arv som präglar Baltikum. Syfte: Undersökningen har två syften.

This thesis aims to study the effects of the infrastructure project Västlänken in Gothenburg, a rail tunnel to be built through the city center. The study focuses on the community of Haga where one of the three exits will be constructed and also the surrounding urban environment, to see if the project can be sustainable. Sustainable urban development was selected as the theory, and the term "sustainable" is defined in this study using a number of criteria that two scientists developed. The criteria include economic, ecological and social perspectives on how a place or a geographical area can meet today's needs as well as possible needs in the future. The methods used were semi-structured interviews and content analysis of government documents. Interviews were conducted with various institutions in the city, and companies involved in the planning of the project in Gothenburg.

The aim of this paper is to investigate dominant beliefs and approaches to the "cultural entrepreneur" both within a public context, and also among business owners within the cultural field. What happens when ideas and attitudes in the public sector towards culture driven businesses meets the perspective of individual cultural entrepreneurs?This study is based on analysis of political documents about the cultural and creative industries (CCI) from the European union, national level and regional level. Interviews with six business owners in the field of culture and one representative of the Swedish region with the fictive name ?Alma? has been conducted.

Smålands museum, the museum of Småland, is a museum for the county of Kronoberg, a mission given to the museum by the state and county council. The main fields of the museum are the cultural heritage and the history of culture of the region. The museum of Småland is also the Swedish museum of glass. This Master s thesis focuses on the information requirements of the employees at the museum of Småland. Because of the financial status of the museum, the librarian that worked at the museum had to quit about four years ago.

Flerträdshantering har sedan länge främst förekommit i gallringar och vid skörd av biobränslesortiment. På senare år har svenska och kanadensiska forskare även gjort tidsstudier på tekniken i slutavverkningar där resultaten visar på en ökning av produktiviteten. Inom Holmen Skog har tekniken använts i slutavverkningar under ett par års tid men kunskap om vilken typ av skog den bör användas i och potentialen är okänd. Syftet med denna studie var att kvantifiera potentialen för flerträdshantering i slutavverkning inom Holmen Skog och beskriva de skogliga förutsättningarna. Det gjordes även en skattning av produktivitetsökningen och en maskinkostnadskalkyl för flerträdshanteringens effekter på skördarens drivningskostnad. Studien utfördes enligt följande: Stamnotor extraherades från slutavverkade trakter där flerträdshantering användes.

Lately, more and more music festivals have emerged in Sweden. People?s desire and need to visit these events only seems to increase. Cultural tourism and music tourism has developed into a significant and important part of the experience industry and it employs more and more people within the tourism industry. The purpose of this paper is to investigate which effects this can have on the local community.

Records of P III fractures from 235 horses, 71 of them were standardbreds, treated at 3 major Swedish equine hospitals (Strömsholm, SLU and Mälaren hästklinik) between 1994 and 2004 were evaluated for information such as the patients age, sex, breed, type of fracture, affected leg, time and place of the injury, treatment and, if possible, result of treatment. For the standardbreds, result of treatment was also followed up through written correspondence with owners and by screening AB Trav och Galopp racing-results. Moreover, results of horses with type II and III-fractures treated with rest and therapeutic shooing only were compared to horses in which lag screw fixation were added to achieve interfragmental compression. Compared to the rest of the Swedish horse population, P III fractures were slightly more common among standardbred horses. The mean age of the affected standardbred was 5,8 years, compared to 7,9 years in the rest of the horse-population. Most horses injured themselves in the paddock.

Övervikt och fetma är ett av de mest omfattande folkhälsoproblemen i Sverige och det är en stor andel barn och unga som lever med detta problem. Då goda matvanor grundläggs i tidig ålder utgör skolmåltiden en betydelsefull roll för att upprätta hälsosamma matvanor. Faktorer i den fysiska matmiljön, såsom möblering, städning, dekorering, inredning, belysning samt ljudnivå påverkar elevernas upplevelse av måltidssituationen. Den psykiska miljön som innefattar både psykologiska och sociala faktorer, det vill säga servering av skolmaten, arbetskläder, matglädje, elevernas matintag samt möjligheterna för skolmåltidspersonalen att gå någon fortbildning är även av betydelse för måltidssituationen. Dessa faktorer har studerats i detta examensarbete som utförts på uppdrag av Region Halland och som syftade till att studera skolmåltidspersonalens upplevelser av att påverka måltidssituationen i skolan.

Since Sweden joined the EU in 1995 there has been a noticeable increase in the value of arable land occurred. This paper is intended to study the inflation of farmland prices. In order to ascertain what affects the market prices so much since Sweden affiliated with the EU three regions has been selected for a detailed study on the subject. These three regions are selected because each of them represents different parts of the Swedish farmlands. The time period that has been examined is the year 1995 until 2009.The price raises in the three observed regions was overall fairly even at the end of the studied period.

The background to this paper is the fact that many products are demonstrated to show the consumer value of the product. This is generally the fact when it comes to agricultural products, such as tractors. The growing number of models makes this even more import for the retailer to perform a demonstration that really catches the interest of a prospect customer. One problem is that these demonstrations are expensive and many small retailers have difficulties to afford demonstrations of every model. Together with Åhmans Traktorcentrum AB a market investigation was conducted. The company has its primary sales area in the region of Östergötland and north part of Småland. Åhmans Traktorcentrum AB is a John Deere dealer.
