I och med övergödningsproblematiken i Östersjön och Sveriges åtaganden i samband med Baltic Sea Action Plan kommer det i framtiden ställas högre krav på rening av kväve från de större avloppsreningsverken i Sverige.Anammox är processen där ammonium oxideras till kvävgas med nitrit som elektonacceptor. Anammox har under den senare tiden implementerats för rejektvattenbehandling i avloppsreningsverk runt om i världen.  När anammox används för att rena ammonium krävs att ca hälften av inkommande ammonium oxideras till nitrit genom nitritation. Detta steg utförs av ammoniakoxiderande bakterier (AOB) vilka kräver en aerob miljö. Den kombinerade processen med anammox och nitritation kallas deammonifikation. På Sjölunda avloppsreningsverk i Malmö har en pilotstudie, i sammarbete med VA-teknik på Lunds Tekniska Högskola, startats för att undersöka potentialen i att implementera deammonifikation i huvudströmmen på reningsverket.

This study is about organizing major sporting events. Sporting events? numerous positive outcomes for the hosting region has resulted in a growing number and size of sporting events globally. The aim of this study was therefore to provide further knowledge about how organizations in major sport events practically and strategically operate and how processes related to organization and leadership can contribute to the success of the event. The study focuses the context of a Swedish national multi-sport event hosted and held by three different cities, three different years.

Logistik handlar om att skapa effektiva materialflöden. Distribution är den del av logistikflödet som har stor betydelse för företags konkurrensförmåga och lönsamhet. Hur företag väljer att distribueras sina tjänster eller produkter har en stor påverkan på deras transportkostnader och leveransservice. Hos Draka Kabel Sverige AB finns i nuläget ingen uttalad leveransstrategi gällande uppbokning av inrikestransporter, utan detta sker efter kundönskemål. Detta leder till många små leveranser som resulterar i högre transportkostnader och ostrukturerade arbetsrutiner. I dagsläget samarbetar Draka Kabel Sverige AB med en speditör, Höglands Logistik AB, och all inrikes vägtransport sker med speditören.

Energy consumption is at present a major political issue, and numerous projects that comprise many nations are currently in process to increase energy efficiency and bring down energy dependency. As a member state of the EU, Sweden now faces the challenge of implementing substantial energy-saving measures until the year 2016. One of these measures is the project ?Green Islands? financed by the EU that intend on creating sustainable islands in areas around the Baltic Sea. The Archipelago Foundation leads the project that concerns the Stockholm archipelago, where focus has been placed upon decreasing energy usage in businesses and services on Utö among other islands.

Sara Lidman?s second novel Hjortronlandet (1955) unfolds in the north of Sweden in the early 20th century. It describes the progress of modernity and the conflicting interests of an old local culture and a new more ?civilised? one. The two cultures are constituted by different value systems and in the novel they are represented by two neighbour communities.

En enkätstudie genomförd med en urvalsgrupp av alla föräldrar som hade ett barn inskrivet i Region Gotlands fritidshemsverksamhet i årskurs tre vårterminen 2012 gällande deras tankar för valet av att ha fritidshemsplats i årskurs fyra. Studien har genomförts med en digital enkät i verktyget Google docs och det är 467 respondenter som fått möjlighet att svara på denna enkät. Av dessa inkom det 132 svar. Frågorna i enkäten rör personal, aktiviteter samt övriga aspekter som kan vara av betydelse för valet att ha kvar eller säga upp sin fritidshemsplats till inför övergången till årskurs fyra höstterminen 2012.Studien visar på att det som föreligger att ha störst betydelse för att man skall ha kvar sin plats är personalens bemötande, personalens engagemang, meningsfulla aktiviteter samt att barnen själv vill gå kvar. Det som visar sig ha minst betydelse för valet att både ha kvar eller säga upp sin plats på fritidshemmet i årskurs fyra är avgiftens storlek..

Bakgrund: Telefonrådgivning utgör en stor del av sjuksköterskans arbetsuppgifter inom primärvården och de allra flesta har någon gång tagit kontakt med vården via telefon. Användningen av ett beslutsstöd vid rådgivning och triagering har blivit allt vanligare. Region Skåne har utvecklat Triagehandboken som är ett beslutsstöd framtaget för att användas på alla vårdnivåer. Syfte: Studien vill belysa hur sjuksköterskor inom primärvården upplever att använda sig av Triagehandboken vid telefonrådgivning. Om den upplevs som ett stöd eller en begränsning samt hur de upplever patienternas tillfredsställelse då ett beslut tagits enligt Triagehandboken. Metod: En enkätstudie gjordes med kvalitativ inriktning. Manifest innehållsanalys användes för att analysera materialet.

This study has taken place in two nature reserves in the municipality of Uppvidinge in the Kronoberg region in southern Sweden. These have been chosen by the County Administrative Board to be part of a bigger landscape of fire affected nature, and prescribed fire has been implemented in these. The areas are called Ösjöbol and Berga fly and have been burned 2012 and 2013 respectively. Non-burned areas have been inventoried as well. Vascular plants and mineral soil have been inventoried with the Hult-Sernander-Du Rietz scale of five levels. Issues emanate from the County Administrative Board?s goals for prescribed fire: how sticks and herbs were affected, how much soil was uncovered, how the structure and fire favoured species were affected, and how deciduous trees and spruces (Picea abies) were affected. The study shows that the soil increased, as well as the fire favoured species.

Genom regeringens satsning Matlandet Sverige har Sametinget fått medel för att satsa på den samiska maten. Satsningarna har bidragit till att placera den samiska maten på den svenska matkartan, men en tydlig och gemensamt förankrad framtidsstrategi för den samiska maten har saknats. Denna examensuppsats för Agronomprogrammet med landsbygdsutveckling som inriktning ämnar skapa en bild av vad den samiska maten är för samerna, samt hur samerna i framtiden ska marknadsföra och profilera maten. Samer är Europas enda ursprungsbefolkning och en stor del av deras identitet kretsar kring rennäringen och den traditionella kulturen kring renen. Exploateringar och det instrumentella samhället hotar rennäringen och samernas traditionella leverne. Sápmi är en gastronomisk region med stark terroir i maten, vilket betyder att maten bär på ursprung, historia, platsbundenhet och kultur.

In the field of maintenance management there are but a few models an organization can use. The one model that has risen to the status of being the de facto standard in Sweden is pm3(på maintenance management model). The aim of this study is to lay the groundwork for a new method of evaluate the use of pm3within organizations. Today there is no uniform way of performing such an evaluation, which is necessary in order to diagnose the performance of the systems maintenance organizations.In the process of creating our own method for performing this kind of pm3audit, we further developed the ideas from a study by Lagsten & Nordström (2013) that was performed at the county Region Skåne. The authors of that study had developed ideas about using method rationale as a basis of creating a method for pm3auditing.

Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka hur lämplig mesakalk är som dammbindare på grusvägar. Examensarbetet är ett samarbete mellan Luleå tekniska universitet och Vägverket region norr. Huvudsakligen har eventuella miljöpåverkningar undersökts. En stor del av en obunden vägs miljöpåverkning på omgivningen har med dammbindningen att göra. En vägsträcka med undermålig dammbindning kan även med begränsad trafikmängd ge störningar på omgivningen, och dessutom onödigt stora underhållskostnader som följd.

Herbicide resistance is the result of an evolutionary process where a population gradually changes from being susceptible to being resistant to an herbicide. The resistance mechanism is usually a change in the biochemistry of the weed, but in some cases changes in morphology or growth rhythm. The change is caused by random mutations. Two resistance mechanisms are found in black-grass; target site resistance and metabolic resistance.Black-grass is a tufty, winter annual grass weed, which is mainly found in milder climates. Black-grass is a big problem in Southern Europe.

The eutrophication of inshore seas, lakes and watercourses is mainly due to leaching of nitrogen and phosphorus (P) from agriculture. Many efforts are made to reduce the lea-kage of phosphorus in Sweden and the Baltic Sea countries. Phosphorus is also a finite resource and the mining of good quality raw material gets more and more difficult. Se-dimentation dams in combination with filters is one relatively new method to separate P from run-off and drainage water from agricultural land. This study was a part of an IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute?s project which tests the capacity and func-tion for separation of phosphorus in four phosphorus filters.

That an auditor brings good quality to the work he is performing is of great importance, not only for the company in question but also for its stakeholders. The information that the company disclose gets more credibility because of the auditor quality assurance. That the auditor tenure would affect the quality has been researched with different results, dependent on the legislation in the current country or region. In this paper we study how audit quality is affected of the audit tenure in Sweden. Based on research made in Belgium we have formulated hypothesis with factors that can affect the audit quality.

This essay deals with the weak and unstable urbanization process of the town Falkenberg. The aim has been to explore how a new town could be established just a kilometre away from the town (Old) Falkenberg and what kind of meaning the town had in relationship to the towns Halmstad and Varberg. This was made through the study of the political situation in Denmark and Sweden during the 15th century and through a comparison of the town churches. The archaeological material of Falkenberg is very small and thus I had to trust the available historical literature about the town.Not much of the oldest history of the town is known, but a conflict between the landed aristocratic family Thott and the king Kristian I in Denmark has been interpreted as a reason to the establishing of the town. In conclusion the survey showed that the king probably established New Falkenberg in purpose to limit the trading possibilities of Thott and to, at the same time, increase his own power in the district.
