Purpose: The purpose of this study is to illustrate and problemize the consequences of the traditional male domination in film creation for a female director by critically examining the construction of the film director. Methodology: The study is based on a qualitative case study which was conducted as a participant observation.

Of all observable societal trends, the proliferation of standardizing processes is striking. Auditing standards are an illustrative example of this. Not only privately owned companies must today make available numbers and key figures to satisfy needs of information and knowledge. Government agencies are increasingly conforming to this trend, adopting standards for quality assurance and monitoring, producing numbers and annual reports ? despite their somewhat ambiguous task and role.

This master thesis investigates the possibilities of using GPS-information from trains to create a model of a railway system, register the routes of the the trains and predict how the trains will travel in the railway system.The thesis work was done at Icomera AB which is a company that specializes in internet connected vehicle solutions.We describe how the GPS-information is sent from the trains in the form of samples and investigate limitations and possibilities with the available information. About three million samples from 83 SJ-trains were analysed and the samples were filtered with the intent of removing erroneous information. We here found that about 30 % of the samples from the trains were unreliable.A solution for how the samples from the trains can be used to create a model of the railway system traveled by the trains is presented. We use a large set of historical samples and use cluster nodes and Hermite curves to generate a graph that represent the railway system with stations, nodes and the railway itself. A fully automatic solution is not presented since it did not fit into the time frame of the thesis; instead we created a simple tool which can be used to manually finish the model of the railway system.Furthermore, we describe how the railway system and the samples from the train can be used to register the routes the trains travel.

Utvecklingen av kylskåp går ständigt framåt och det tillkommer mycket funktioner både i form av teknik och av material- förändringar. Trenderna talar även för att det exteriöra, kylskåpets samklang med kökets övriga inredning, är en oerhört viktig aspekt, vilken har utvecklats mycket under de senaste åren. Idag är ett kylskåp mycket mer än bara en kylförvaring, det är också är en viktig inredningsdetalj med många funktioner i det moderna köket. Under våren 2007 genomfördes detta projekt som ett samarbete mellan Electrolux kylskåpsfabrik i Mariestad och avdelningen för Industriell design vid Luleå tekniska universitet.

Purpose This thesis tries to create an understanding of how male homosexual entrepreneurs, both as persons and as a concept, relates to the fact that entrepreneurship, as well as the society as a whole, is heteronormative. Moreover, it examines by what methods the male homosexual entrepreneurs cope with the seemingly paradox of a homosexual man who also is an entrepreneur. Method The method has been qualitative from a social construction-point of view. We have made semi-structured interviews with nine male homosexual entrepreneurs and structured the findings from the interviews with a computer programme and mind mapping techniques. We have compared the structured findings with theories, in an abducting manner, to find out an answer to the purpose of this thesis.

Health care units are forced to make some structural changes in order to become effective and efficient. As a result merger and acquisitions has become a part of the health care sector, and seems to be an increasing phenomenon. Mergers and acquisitions have mainly been studied in the industry.

The term CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is frequently discussed today. Many large companies work actively with CSR related questions. Mastit (juverinflammation) är en mycket vanlig sjukdom hos mjölkkor som orsakar mjölkproducenterna stora ekonomiska förluster genom nedsatt produktion och mjölkkvalitet och representerar en avsevärd antibiotikaanvändning. Klinisk mastit (KM) ger synliga symtom som t.ex. juversvullnad. Den vanligaste formen är dock subklinisk (tyst förlöpande) mastit (SKM) som är en utmaning för mjölkproducenten eftersom den är svår att upptäcka och behandla. Kor med SKM har inga synliga symtom men förhöjda celltal i mjölken vilket är ett tidigt tecken på mastit.

RFID innebär, vid sidan av streckkoder, ytterligare ett sätt att identifiera föremål. Fördelen med RFID är bland annat att identifikation kan göras utan fysisk eller visuell kontakt och med avstånd på flera meter. Ett eventuellt användningsområde för RFID skulle kunna vara på transporter vid inchecknings- och bordningsprocessen till färjetransporter för att snabba upp logistikflödet.De potentiella mervärden som detta skulle kunna medföra är bland annat snabbare incheckning och avlämning/avhämtning av transportenheter, bättre spårning av transportenheten, ökad säkerhet och effektivare arbete på kajen. Ett antal frågeställningar sattes upp inom tre huvudområden: allmän orientering av RFID-teknik, mervärden och investeringsanalys. Dessutom tillkom några andra intressanta frågeställningar kring bland annat alternativa identifieringsverktyg, tillämpningar i andra sammanhang och säkerhet.´Fokus på arbetet har dock legat på att försöka visa på mervärden och fördelar med att använda RFID-tekniken.Som grund för att besvara frågeställningarna har en nulägesbeskrivning gjorts över det studerade systemet från terminal - färjetransport ? terminal, där Schenker och Stena Line varit de inblandade aktörerna.
