In a world characterized by increasing sustainability challenges, organizations are continuously facing new demands; creating new requirements of change management and incorporation of new strategic decisions. Today, organizations are responding to the emergence of new sustainability directives and regulations at a EU level, whence the latest sustainability framework CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), becomes particularly relevant. Companies are therefore facing the challenge of integrating strategic management in their navigation, preparation and maneuvering of new directives; a transition that requires new strategic decisions and adaptations. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively examine how CSRD affects organizations in terms of corporate changes, operational adaptations and strategic decisions, as well as what capabilities are essential to incorporate. The study also aims to investigate relevant challenges and opportunities associated with the new directive.

Background: Chronic pain is a condition that approximately 18% of the Swedish population suffers from. This condition affects many aspects of a person´s life and causes psychological, physiological and social suffering. Multimodal treatment is considered the most effective treatment for patients with chronic pain. Patient participation and motivation are very important to treatment. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore patients´ experience of a multimodal chronic pain treatment program regarding their experience of patient participation and interaction with the rehabilitation team.

Vid projektering idag ställs konstruktören ofta inför valet att projektera för antingen ventilation med konstanta flöden, eller med variabla flöden. Vidare kan även flödena varieras manuellt eller automatiskt. Det konstruktören måste ta hänsyn till är investeringskostnaden, men även potentiella energi- samt kostnadsbesparingar över tid. Många gånger är det svårt att veta hur energianvändningen påverkas av de olika systemvalen varför det är svårt att välja det mest optimala systemet.Detta arbete undersöker livscykelkostnaden, LCC, med nuvärdeskostnaden på en skola i Uppsala med tre olika system, antingen konstant ventilationsflöde, CAV med timer, manuellt styrd variabel ventilation, VAV, eller automatisk VAV med styrning på temperatur och CO2. Huvudanledningen till det är att skolor består av en mängd olika klassrum och lokaler som inte alltid används under skoltiden, risken finns alltså att skolan överventileras med ett traditionellt CAV.

Background: Inter-organisational ways of working have become more and more common during the last decades. In order to attain efficiency and productivity, such inter-organisational relationships need to be governed and controlled. However, studies have shown that inadequate control is one of the main reasons for why inter-organisational relationships fail. One of the means that can be used for governing and controlling a business is management control. The use of management control in inter-organisational contexts is a quite unexplored area of research at the present time, which might seem somewhat surprising considering the fact that inadequate control is a common explanation for why inter-organisational relationships fail.

In 2014-2015 a large-scale Ebola epidemic occurred in West Africa. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency was given the order to conduct the Swedish response. The purpose of this case study was to investigate the impact on project planning of the three factors: the nature of the crisis, political initiative and developing countries. In this case study the crisis was an epidemic, and the project was initiated by the Swedish Government and conducted in two developing countries. The results were intended to contribute to developed understanding and recommendations for future project managers in similar projects.

SammanfattningFöretaget Bedsab tillverkar dragstrumpor som är ett verktyg som andvänds för att underlättaförflyttningen av vajrar. Den mekaniska funktionen av en dragstrumpa är sådan att vidtryckspänning fås en större diameter och dragstrumpan kan då föras över vajeränden. Viddragspänning får dragstrumpan en mindre diameter än den ursprungliga vilket innebär attdragstrumpan ?låses? kring vajern och kan med hjälp av en applicerad kraft förflytta vajern tillönskad plats. Hos företaget Bedsab sker tillverkningen av dragstrumporna för hand vilket äroerhört slitsamt för operatören men även mycket tidskrävande.Detta examensarbete bygger vidare på ett tidigare projekt där en automatisk flätningsmetodtagits fram för tillverkning av dragstrumpor.

Forskning om levnadsvanor och sociala medier saknas.Syfte: Att undersöka graden av användning av de sociala medierna Facebook och Twitter samt dess samband med de tre olika levnadsvanorna mat-, motions- och sömnvanor.Metod: Deskriptiv, korrelativ tvärsnittstudie i form av en webbaserad enkätundersökning.

The aim of the study was to understand professionals? perceptions and experiences of adolescent stress. In the study I interested myself further if you can identify gender-specific patterns in the professional stories about young people's stress and stress related illness. Five interviews were conducted with professionals in psychiatry and social work. The thesis took its incipience in social constructionism.

This Master of Science Thesis was a complement project to the PIEp study MENTOL, carried out at a Swedish midsize medical device company.. PIEp nationally works for a long-term increase of the innovation capability of people and organizations. The purpose of this study was to find measuring parameters of innovation that fit medium-sized technological companies and organizations, Another purpose was to evaluate an innovation investment at the company, consisting of external consultant?s education of key personnel in innovation, and a two day innovation seminar with all personnel at the company participating. Uppsala University is involved in a large international collaborationto build the Laser heater system for the European Xray Free-electronlaser in Hamburg, Germany. In this thesis I describe a laser incouplingdevice into the vacuum chamber of this laser heater all the way fromthe specifications to a completed design.The laser heater is a very important part of the XFEL and thepart described here is a part of the vacuum system needed to couplean external laser into the electron vacuum system and align it withthe electron bunches in order to heat them. The task was started by studying the literature about the basic theory andthe design of vacuum systems. After this study and collection of ideaswith colleagues I started to prepare different concepts to solve thetask. The ideas can be put into two categories, in one case the couplingmirror is located inside the vacuum chamber and in the second caseoutside.
