Det är vanligt att en patient med reumatoid artrit (RA) förr eller senare behöver ersätta sin höftled/leder med plastik. Efter en höftplastikoperation är vissa rörelser olämpliga för patienten att utföra. Idag finns inget status för bedömning av patienter med RA, som samtidigt tar hänsyn till en eventuell höftplastik. Syftet med den här studien var att utforma ett kliniskt användbart status för bedömning av RA-patienter som har höftledsplastik. Syftet med studien var också att statuset ska bidra till att göra statustagning för RA-patienten säkrare, i avseende att minska luxationsrisken.

Det här examensarbetets syfte är att ta fram en metod för att på ett enkelt och effektivt sätt med låg mätosäkerhet ajourhålla höjdkurvor på platser där marknivån har förändrats i en omfattning så att kommunens höjdkurvor behöver revideras. Eftersom det tidigare inte har funnits en utarbetad metod för att ajourhålla höjdkurvor har jag fått pröva mig fram till en metod som har gett tillfredsställande resultat. Metoden som har tagits fram är lätt att använda och gör att man på ett enkelt sätt kan uppdatera kommunenens baskarta med ny information. Genom att mäta in punkter med hjälp av GNSS-teknik och sedan använda programmet AutoCAD Civil 3D, har det gått att få de resultat som eftersträvades. Metoden som tagits fram ger kommunen möjlighet att uppdatera mindre områden i sina kartor på ett enkelt sätt. Det som krävs är en mottagare som en person kan hantera, programmet AutoCAD Civil 3D och ett område som inte är större än att en person på ett rimligt sätt kan mäta in det till fots..

Most people would agree that privacy is a civil right, and that we should not be deprived of this civil right for other than legitimate reasons. The difficulty lies instead in how to decide where the legislative boundary should be drawn for the right to privacy, in order to protect the individual from an undue intrusion of his privacy. There are a number of areas where the right to privacy comes in conflict with opposite interests. One of these areas is credit report. In this master thesis the author discusses questions as, what is the meaning of the word privacy, and whether the protection of privacy is sufficient in the legislation concerning credit report? Also a comparative study of the Swedish and the English regulation is performed.

Research on Stone Age hunters and gatherers in Norrland has been lively since the 1960s. Central to this research are questions about the organization of society, sedentariness, continuity and resource management. One central part of life in the taiga is the need for fire and fuel. This aspect has been little discussed in conjunction with the mentioned research questions. My goal is to show that the matter of fire and fuel is an important one that needs to be taken in to consideration when discussing Stone Age Norrland and hunter/gatherers.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka samvariationen mellan självskattad fysisk aktivitetsgrad och självupplevd psykisk status bland gymnasieungdomar. I syftet ingår att analysera eventuella skillnader i självupplevd fysisk aktivitetsgrad och självupplevd psykisk status respektive stress, kön och region - Stockholms län och Västernorrlands län. Frågeställningar är:-        Hur fysiskt aktiva anser sig respondenter i Stockholm respektive Västernorrlands län vara?-        Hur ser prevalensen ut angående självupplevd stress och psykisk status för män och kvinnor i Stockholms respektive Västernorrlands län och finns det någon skillnad mellan män och kvinnor?-        Finns någon samvariation mellan psykisk status respektive stress och fysisk aktivitet?MetodFör studien valdes en kvantitativ metod i form av en enkät uppdelad i två delar där den första delen mätte respondentens grad av självupplevd fysisk aktivitetsgrad och den andra delen mätte respondentens självupplevda psykiska status respektive självupplevda stress.ResultatAv de tillfrågade ansåg sig en klar majoritet vara fysiskt aktiva. Generellt sett ansåg sig en större andel män än kvinnor vara fysiskt aktiva.

This bachelor thesis is studying the INTERREG cooperation between Denmark and Germany, and if there has been a change to the organization and the individual conditions due to the Danish regional reform in 2007. The research method used is semi-structured interviews and the participants are a mixture of politicians and civil servants. The study is based on two themes, change in work routines and cooperation, and change in visions and targets.The participants have experienced change, both positive and negative, in work routines and cooperation and to a lesser extent in visions and targets. Preparation is the key to success and makes the transition much easier, which has been the case for Denmark. Other mentioned aspects are more work due to more complicated applications, and that the politicians so far lack a regional perspective and tend to stick to the local.

Research has shown that immigrants in the Swedish society often, when seeking jobs, don?t get the same opportunities as the rest of the population. This thesis is a qualitative research that examines the problematic situation of unemployment among immigrants in the municipality of Finspång. The purpose of this study is to analyze how civil servants in Finspång apprehend and describe the labor market problems surrounding the immigrant groups that live in the municipality of Finspång. The empirical material is build upon seven qualitative interviews with eight civil servants working in Finspång.

This study examines the cultural place and status of video and computer games in the Swedish public library. Using works on popular culture and the theories of Pierre Bourdieu, this study employs quantitative methods, as well as textual analysis, to analyze the results of an online questionnaire with 19 questions focusing on selection criteria, shelf placement, perceived competence, as well as reasoning for having or not having these games in the library. 286 out of the 440 libraries contacted is participating in the study, and the libraries consist exclusively of public libraries in Sweden that are found in the database of the Royal Library.The results of this study show that a larger number of libraries than previously indicated have started to provide electronic games to their patrons. At the same time, patterns in the data and comments suggests that these games in many cases still do not enjoy the same level of cultural recognition as other media. Indicative of this is the way most libraries seem to focus on the medium being exclusively for their young patrons, with seem-ingly very little in the way of investment for adults.

This work has been done to develop a plan for a future dairy barn at theGästgivaregården and to show the space needed for cows and replacement heifers. Itwould also show the storage that will be needed. The design was largely based on resultsfrom studies on six different farms, but also the facts that are taken from research papersand articles in order to compare theory with practice. Because some farms only whereinterviewed by phone I have used a query form to obtain comparable resultes.The aim is to build a new barn with Automatic milking. I've drawn a milking stable for120 milking cow and replacement heifers with the capability to house up to 140 milkingcows if the farm would expand in the future.Calculations of feed amounts and space requirements have been made to see how manyhectares are needed to supply the cows and replacement heifers with feed and to knowabout what size of storage space is required.The investigations made in this writing are to answer questions about the AMS-unit`sposition and how to best maintain a good health status in the herd.

Detta jämförs med godtagbara teorier om respektabilitet och klassteori byggd på maktupplevelser.

This paper is a research review in the realm of censorship systems andfiltering systems. It applies ethical considerations to the creation of censorshipsystems bringing forward discussion on the ethics of technology with thepurpose of limiting access to information.There is active research being done in the area of automatic content filteringand censorship systems. These are systems that can filter out undesiredmaterial, typically from the Internet, automatically. Used in some nations,many schools and even mandated in some libraries there are many ethicalquestions raised concerning censorship and access to information.Part of the review concerns the level of accuracy of these systems presentedby researchers in the field and the different approaches used. Reviewedarticles centre around automatic content classification and filtering ofpotentially harmful materials with regards to minors while some relate tocensorship technology in a wider sense.Results show a general lack of discussion concerning the ethics of thetechnology in the research reviewed.

Automatic query expansion has long been studied in information retrieval research as a technique that deals with the fundamental issue of word mismatch between query and document. The purpose of this thesis is to compare the retrieval effectiveness of different strategies for automatic query expansion. The strategies are based on local analysis of the corpus and use statistical information from the local document set to extract terms that suppose to adapt themselves to each individual search and therefore appear to be searchonyms to the index terms. The strategies compared are: association clusters, metric cluster and scalar cluster. Baseline queries of 24 topics are expanded using terms from the different clusters and searches are made.

The aim of our study was to examine the oral health status using an oral assessment guide, ROAG, among elderly people in a block of service. Another aim was to evaluate the elderlys perception of there own oral health using a questionnaire. The study were undertaken at a ward in Kristianstad, with 39 caretakers. 21 caretakers participated in the study. The assessment of the oral health status was done on the same individuals (n=21) who answered the questions in the questionnaire.

Att ha attityder grundade i rationella tankar uppfattas som mer önskvärdän att ha attityder som är grundade i externa faktorer. Människor ärbenägna att uppfatta individer som håller med dem som mer rationellaoch mindre externt influerade i sina preferenser än individer som intehåller med. Construal Level Theory förutsätter högre psykologiskdistans för med sig ökad bias. Högstatusindivider har en högrepsykologisk distans vilket leder till ökad bias. I studien undersöks hurpsykologisk distans och individens benägenhet att tolka världen naivt,utifrån eget perspektiv, inverkar på mellangruppsattributioner.Resultaten visar att deltagarna skattar preferenserna av de som harsamma åsikt i en fråga som mer rationella än dem som har motsatt åsikt,och att maktposition leder till ökad bias.

För företag i det moderna samhället är nyckeln till framgångsrik marknadsföring en förmåga att kunna sälja in produkter, tjänster och budskap och att kunna göra det på ett sådant vis att de sticker ut ur mängden bland andra företag som syftar till att göra samma sak. Ett sätt att uppnå detta är genom att använda sig av kända människor för att lyfta fram det som marknadsförs. Åtskillig forskning har bedrivits kring denna marknadsföringsmetod. Detta arbete har undersökt hur och om användandet av kändisar påverkar ett varumärkes status hos mottagarna. Den tidigare forskningen kring marknadsföring med hjälp av kändisar har mest kretsat kring effektiviteten av sådan marknadsföring.
