Genom en fallstudie av ett typföretag och genom kompletterande intervjuer med kunniga inom logistik och företagsekonomi skulle författarna undersöka vilka kriterier som företagen lägger mest vikt på när de ska starta ett så stort projekt som lagerställesrationalisering, samt förstå vad kostnadsbesparingen kan bli.Metod: En studie av företaget Midelfart Sonesson AB har utförts. Primär- och sekundärdata har samlats in genom personliga intervjuer, litteratur, rapporter, och elektroniska källor.Teori: Teorin består av nio olika avsnitt som kan tillämpas på ämnet i uppsatsen. Teorin används för att förstå företagets uppbyggnad, organisation och dess handlande.

Achievements within the fields of computer- and telecommunication technology have led to a revolution when it comes to managing information. These achievements have made it possible to offer new services in healthcare, especially in telemedicine. New technology has become a complement to traditional care, thus partly compensating for insufficient time and resources. Telephone Linked Care (TLC) is a telecommunication technology that enables automated dialog counselling and monitoring of patients in their homes. During the last two decades numerous randomized controlled studies with TLC have demonstrated improvement among outpatients with chronic and health behaviour disorders.

Under hösten år 2005 implementerade Grundfos Electronics ett nytt ERP- system, vilket innebar en uppgradering från SAP/R2 till SAP/R3. I och med denna uppgradering fick Grundfos Electronics även tillgång till Grundfos Business Warehouse, vilket är en kombination av databaser som innehåller kvantitativ data från produktions- och försäljningsbolag i Grundfos- koncernen. Genom övergången till SAP/R3 och tillgången till Grundfos Business Warehouse öppnades det nya möjligheter till att ta fram information om Grundfos Electronics försörjningskedjor. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka vilken information som finns tillgänglig i Grundfos Business Warehouse som kan användas för att skapa förståelse över hur Grundfos Electronics försörjningskedjor fungerar. En analys av informationen utfördes med syfte att förbättra kapacitetsplaneringen vid Grundfos Electronics.

Husqvarna AB operates two warehouses located in the area of Jönköping. The most important task is to manage the large volume fluctuations during the peak season. DHL Exel Supply Chain (DESC) run the warehouses and the domestic transportations is outsourced to DHL Express. A number of forwarder agents are responsible for distributing the export gods. In the present situation a bottleneck occurs at the warehouse loading section, and the consequence is fulfill the time of delivery for all customer orders.

The aim with this study was to examine which information sources are used by the librarians in the process of changing automated library system and why. Furthermore it was of interest to examine whether there are any correlations between variables environment, information quality, information availability, information need and information sources. I used a quantitative method that was carried out in form of a nationwide survey. Questionnaires were sent out to all the Swedish libraries that had change library systems sometime between the years 2000.

Many of Taylor?s principles may appear obsolete today but the matter of an effective material flow is still highly current. Efficiency is the relationship between the input into an operation and its result.

The industrialization in Sweden has increased the large number of areas that have been contaminated with various types of pollution. One of those sites are the property Höjen 3:24 in Arboga where ?Arboga Mekaniska Verkstad? once been. The property wants to increase the use of the old former foundry building with the adjacent ?plate-workshop? and believe there are two options for the building: That the building either should be used as a warehouse/concert hall, or rebuilt into a cultural center. An environmental evaluation has shown that the levels of heavy metals are over the Swedish environmental protection agency guidelines of less sensitive land.

I det nyutvecklade systemet, som går under namnet Ritz, samlas informationen i en central databas och är tillgänglig för flertalet intressenter med hjälp av ny teknik och modernare lösningar. Systemet är helt webbaserat och körs som en molntjänst, tillgängligt via antingen en webbsida eller som mobilapplikation. Åtkomsten av data baseras på företagsnivå på ?stämplad? data i databasen och för att reglera åtkomsten för företagsanvändare till respektive företags data används rollbaserad åtkomstkontroll.Detta examensarbete har syftat till att utveckla en prototyp till en beslutsstödslösning för dynamisk åtkomst till de datamängder som lagras inom Ritz.

För många verksamheters långsiktiga överlevnad, är det av stor vikt att kunna göra korrekta analyser för att därigenom också kunna fatta bra beslut. Till sådana analyser krävs data av olika slag. Sådana data kan komma från källor inom verksamheten (interna), men många gånger kan data från källor utanför verksamheten (externa) också bidra med värdefull omvärldsinformation. Dataunderlaget till analyserna kan med fördel inkorporeras i ett Data Warehouse (DW), vilket ger möjlighet att använda informationen på ett strukturerat sätt inom ramen för någon form av Business Intelligence (BI)-lösning.Processen att inkorporera data från olika källor till ett DW kan vara komplex - i synnerhet då externa datakällor används. Ett ramverk har tidigare tagits fram i syfte att fungera som stöd vid en inkorporering.

Automated Guided Vehicles, AGV:er, används i huvudsak som monteringsplattform inom tung fordonsindustri. En AGV kan användas vid montering av motorer, växellådor och chas-sin. AGV:n transporterar produkten genom en slinga i fabriken, där produkten monteras. Idag säljs AGV:n med ett löfte om femfaldig säkerhet mot brott för alla de ingående komponenter-na. AGV:n är konstruerad för att bära upp en last på maximalt 1800 kg, med säkerhetsfaktorn inkluderad.

This report is the final part within our education, Industrial Organization and Economy focusing on Logistics and Management at Jönköping School of Engineering. The aim with this report is to coordinate recycle drives for deposited aluminum-cans and bottles collected from grocery stores within Jönköping county and locality.In the present situation both aluminum cans and bottles filled with drinks are distributed to the grocery stores by the brewery?s own distributers. At the same time as they supply the drinks they also discharge the grocery stores units with restored aluminumcans and bottles. To make it easier for the grocery stores to handle the goods in the future, all distribution of drinks ought to be directly delivered to the grocery stores own separate central warehouse.

At the plant of Sandvik do Brasil in São Paulo there is a need for improving the transport of inserts between the plant building and the stock building. The idea is to install a system with an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to take care of this transportation. The purpose of this report is to present which demands there are on the system and to find the best solution according to the demands.To conclude this work a study was made of the plant and the AGV technology was examined. Several providers of AGV solutions were contacted to get information about prices and detailed solutions.The conclusion was that the most suitable system for this application is a small unit load vehicle using inductive wire as guiding system..

Today's fierce competition means that companies constantly must develop their business and internal processes. Focus on processes and continuous improvement is something that characterizes Lean Production which ICA logistics are applying with their concept Leading Logistics. Standardized routines for handling damaged gods were insufficient at the ICA distribution center in Kungälv. Handling and registration of damaged gods were not performed uniformly, resulting in problems with controlling and monitoring the process.The purpose of this thesis was to analyze and make recommendations how the process of internal handling of damaged gods could be improved. Therefore a comprehensive understanding was needed of the entire material flow through the warehouse and important quality aspects such as product safety and delivery reliability.The methods used are literature reviews, interviews and observations to produce a comprehensive process mapping of the current situation at the distribution center.
