Sudoku is a popular game of logic in the form of a puzzle. Sudoku puzzles are printed daily in Swedish newspapers. The challenge of solving these puzzles have inspired many programmers to develop Sudokusolving algorithms. These algorithms use different approaches in order to quickly and efficiently solve the puzzles. One such approach is the use of logical strategies initially developed for human players.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur undervisning i moralfilosofi kan se ut på gymnasiet. Kursplaner och läromedel i filosofi har undersökts. Fyra lärare har i intervjuer gett sin bild av den undervisning i moralfilosofi som de bedriver. Kursplanerna ger varje lärare stor frihet att avgöra vilka teorier som ska diskuteras på lektionerna i filosofi. I uppsatsen diskuteras skillnaden mellan principetik och agentetik. Den första klassificeras ibland som manlig moral, och den senare som kvinnlig.

The aim of this study is to examine and analyze how management control mechanisms evolve within an organization when a requirement of return on equity is imposed, as well as why the mechanisms evolve the way they do. A case study was performed on Samhall, a Swedish state-owned company, which has the aim to help people with disabilities develop by providing meaningful work. The framework provided by Samuelsson, defining five means of control in organizations was used to structure the study. Further, theories within New Public Management have been used to provide the reader with a proper background to the research area. Theories from the institutional field of organizational research have also been used to provide further depth to our analysis.

Syftet med denna uppsats och enkätundersökning var att undersöka vilka attityder som råder till hypnos bland ett brett urval av människor. De variabler som förväntades kunna predicera attityden var: egen erfarenhet av hypnos, motivation att göra en förändring, kännedom om alternativa behandlingsmetoder, personlighetsdimensionen Openness, andlighet/transcendens, och där kön togs med som kontrollvariabel. Regressionsanalysen visade på en signifikant modell som förklarade variansen med ca 30%. Två variabler var signifikanta: egen erfarenhet av hypnos och kännedom om alternativa metoder. Motivation visade på en trend till signifikans.

Uppsatsen behandlar hur företagsledare hos svenska kommunalägda elproducenter med fler än 100 anställda identifierar sina primära intressenter inom miljöområdet, samt hur kommunikationen med dessa sker. För att genomförandet av syftet intervjuades fyra företagsledare, inom valda segment, samt företagens årsredovisningar analyserades. Den inhämtade empirin har analyserats med hjälp av intressentidentifieringsteori samt kommunikationsstrategier. Sammantaget identifierar företagsledarna företagets primära intressenter som sådana som besitter makt över företaget. Legitimitet hos intressenterna förefaller också vara av stor vikt, även om företagsledarna inte alltid själva identifierade legitimitet är det uppenbart ett viktigt attribut för intressenter att besitta.

Aim: A business ratio is a measuring instrument that companies use in their financial report to show profit and progress. As it is today, there are no standards to follow that shows which business ratio to present in a companies annual report. Our aim with this report is to see if there are any trends in the use of business ratios by looking into how thirty growth companies are applying them.Method: To see what business ratios are used in practice, we have collected information from the thirty companies? annual reports. With help from the literature, we have created an understanding about the most frequently used business ratios.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to study the adaptation of recently recruited young professionals to a top consulting firm through their identity construction efforts. We analyze the influence of a major organization-related discourse on young professionals in order to account for the effects of emotional labor on their adaptation to work. Methodology: We have studied our empirical material in the light of a reflexive pragmatic approach. Thus throughout the analysis of interview material, we try to interpret carefully the material from various perspectives. As authors, we also reflect critically upon our own interpretations.

Sustainability has become more interesting to several companies through the last years, the trend attracts lots of attention around sustainability. Sustainable development means different to different people. The most frequent definition that we have found and which we believes compare with our definition of sustainable development.?a social change which satisfies daily needs without endanger next generation?s possibilities to satisfy their needs?.We have in this project commence from the English word sustainability and establish our own apprehension of its meaning, in the Swedish translation we have chose to call it sustainable development.This study is a part of an extensive project which is going on around the world and the material of the empirical study is designed after the international variation.Our study on over fifty small and medium sized enterprises has got the conclusion about what they think of sustainable development. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka hur lärare ser på behov och motivation i förhållande till elevers lärande, och att undersöka vad som sker när elever inte ser behovet av att lära sig saker som något viktigt. Utvecklingspsykologin har fungerat som utgångspunkt då vi behandlat våra frågeställningar. Uppgiften har också innefattat att ta reda på hur lärare arbetar för att främja motivationen hos sina eleverna. Vi har intervjuat sex lärare från grundskolan. En trend vi såg hos de äldre lärarna var att de upplevde att eleverna är mindre motiverade nu än tidigare.

Bakgrund: Hopphöjden är en viktig faktor inom volleyboll och kan vara direkt avgörande i spelsituationer. Drop jump (DJ) är en vanligt förekommande plyometrisk övning som används för att förbättra hopphöjden. Ett fåtal studier har påvisat den omedelbara effekten utav att implementera DJ i ett träningsupplägg. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om ett set med fem repetitioner av DJ kan förbättra hopphöjden efter tre minuters aktiv vila. Avsikten med studiens upplägg var att det med enkelhet ska kunna implementeras i en matchsituation.

Ungdomars alkoholkonsumtion har minskat i hela landet utom för ungdomarna i Skåne. I den senaste genomförda skolundersökningen om ungdomars alkoholvanor i Sverige, rapporterades det att medeltalet konsumerade liter alkohol för åren 2009-2011 är drygt dubbelt så högt i Skåne i jämförelse med resten av landet (Henriksson & Leifman, 2011). Syftet med studien är att undersöka om Malmö i tre olika viktiga indikatorer; tillgång, hälsa och brott, som påverkar eller påverkas av alkohol, skiljer sig från Göteborg och Stockholm. Vi undrar om det hade gått att förutsäga den höga alkoholkonsumtionen. To act responsible in relation to environmental, economic and social issues is a trend that is spreading among businesses and their investors. In order to assess business risks, ethical interested investors are calling for open, honest, clear CSR information that can be followed up in corporate sustainability reports. The ability to communicate about risks and to meet investors requests already in the business analytic process can save resources and increase the company?s profitability.The idea that companies should take responsibility for their impact on society from economic, environmental and social perspective is called Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR. In addition to CSR, there is another three-letter abbreviation in this context, PRI ? Principles for Responsible Investment ? which are principles, signed by ethically interested investors.

The subject for our bachelor thesis is how sugar is portrayed in Aftonbladet. By analyzing newspapers from 1995 and 2013 we wanted to research if the portrayal of sugar has changed during the years. We have noticed that there is a trend of being healthy and fit today. ?Strong is the new skinny? is a quote we can see in social media and on blogs today.

The purpose of this bachelor essay is to describe and analyze budgeting in nonprofit organizations. To do that, we used a qualitative method and accomplished seven interviews in four different football clubs. Our idea is to create understanding by combine theory and empiric, and therefore we have an abductive research strategy.The subject of this essay is very topical in view of the recently emerging trend that Allsvenska football clubs are paying increasing deficit. This can have a major impact on the progress and must be stopped. The first step is to make a more realistic budget.The conclusions drawn from this essay suggest that it is not how the budget per se, but how to work from the planned budget that affects what results you gets in the end.
