This study investigates how assistive technology tools are used in the classroom by students in reading and writing disabilities in the school years immediately prior to moving to gymnasium. Through observations and interviews with two students and two teachers this study also considers if the use of these tools can lead to increased accessibility and goal fulfilment, and whether these elements are prerequisites for success. The result shows that the students use laptops in the classroom, primarily for writing longer texts, and that in order to be successful, an early start, equipment, time and positive attitudes towards the tools are important. The students use the tools in the classroom, but they have very different feelings about how included they are in the class. The participants see a clear link between the use of assistive technology tools and increased goal fulfilment. .

Syftet med studien var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av hjälpmedelsuppföljning. För att besvara syftet valdes en kvalitativ metod för datainsamling och analys. Tolv verksamma arbetsterapeuter ingick i studien. Inklussions- kriterierna var att arbetsterapeuter som deltog skulle vara verksamma legitimerade arbetsterapeuter, förskriva hjälpmedel och ha yrkesarbetat under minst ett år. Data samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och en intervjuguide användes som stöd vid intervjuerna.

The author of this thesis wanted to know how common these mobile devices are in the building industry and how they are used and what potential an app could have. The author thus conducted an investigation on this matter, mainly in the form of interviews.Answers given by the interviews were then used as a basis to survey the usage of mobile devices and the usage of different kinds of apps. An investigation of different apps with the potential to be used by professionals in the building industry has been carried through. The last couple of years the use of mobile devices such as mobile phones and PDAs has increased tremendously. Most of the these devices have their own protocols for synchronising data and this has given rise to a need for a standard synchronisation protocol, SyncML. This thesis compares this protocol against the existing ones. The comparison shows that the preferred choice is SyncML. Also an application using SyncML has been developed.

Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att skapa en översikt över vad som kan ha betydelse för bärbara elektroniska teknikstöds användning som kompensatorisk åtgärd för vuxna personer med förvärvad hjärnskada. De 24 artiklar som ingick i studien analyserades med metoden innehållsanalys. Inklusionskriterier var artiklar utgivna efter år 2000 och vuxna försökspersoner. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: användningsområden för elektroniska teknikstöd, design och funktion hos de elektroniska teknikstöden, omgivningens betydelse för användande och individuella förutsättningar för användande av elektroniska teknikstöd. Endast en artikel var skriven utifrån ett arbetsterapeutiskt perspektiv.

One of the reasons why these devices are so popular, is because of the large amounts of services or ?apps? that they can provide for the user. They can do a lot of things that makes everyday living easier for the users.The focus of this study is to find out what kinds of mobile services the users of these devices are expecting and/or wishes to see in the future and what is required to be able to develop and use these services in a good way.We started of the study by searching for earlier studies on the same or similar subjects.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the reason behind thedecision by a company regarding the desire to use mobile access to theirERP-system and to discover whether this will involve any loss offunctionally in comparison to using the ERP-system on a computer atthe office. In addition, the pros and cons involved in using mobiledevices for accessing the ERP-system will also be examined. Semistructured telephone interviews were conducted with companies whicheither used or did not use mobile devices in relation to their work. Atelephone interview was also conducted with a consultant who isworking with the implementation of ERP-systems and mobile solutions.The survey showed that companies with staff working in the field assellers, service personnel and construction workers want to gain directaccess to their ERP-system so as to be able to act directly and takedecisions, to have the ability to provide more efficient order processingand to send out invoices more quickly. Those companies which have notopted to use mobile devices at work within this field are those whichare unsure of the connection to the Internet and the capacities availablewithin cellphones.
