AbstractThe purpose of my study is to compare Sten Rydhs wiew of learning disabilities in mathematics and his education with current literature and research. I want to explore whether the education of ?Mattesmedjan?*, influenced by the Suzuki method, can be the solution for the students with maths problems. ?Mattesmedjan? is a privately-owned school of maths.

started the full-scale war between Ukraine and Russia. Even though the war does not directly
involve the EU or member states of the union, it affects the lives of the European people. While
previous research has established that general attitudes towards the European Union and
European integration has changed in some countries within the Union since the start of the war,
the question remains how attitudes towards EU and European integration has changed across
EU. A second unanswered question is whether populations in Western and Eastern Europe have
responded differently, leading to a potential divergence or convergence in attitudes. The theory
?Rally around the flag? suggests that an outright war that border to EU will increase support for
the political leadership in EU.

My essay begins with a story in which I portray different communicative situations at the preschool unit Myran. The children in my story are at an early stage of development and they all suffer from multiple disabilities which inhibit their ways of communicating. Through my story, I describe how I perceive different communication dilemmas in my work place. A difficulty I cover in my essay is how the educator knows if he or she has interpreted a child correctly when it does not have a verbal communication and therefore is completely dependent on the educators? interpretations of its communication efforts.
"Så fort jag hamnar i skolan blir jag så sömnig" : Röster om skolan från elever med Asperger syndrom
Syftet med vår studie har varit att undersöka hur elever med Asperger syndrom (AS), som går inkluderade i klasser i grundskolans senare år, upplever sin skolgång.Elva elever, både flickor och pojkar, intervjuades. Eleverna vi intervjuade hade en varierande bakgrund, vissa hade gått i vanlig klass med visst stöd, några hade varit placerade i särskilda undervisningsgrupper. Vi valde att arbeta efter en fenomenografisk ansats eftersom vårt mål var att ta del av ungdomarnas egna upplevelser och undersöka variationerna bland dem.Elevernas uppfattningar om sin skolgång varierade men de hade alla en positiv inställning till sin nuvarande form som inkluderade elever i grundskolans ordinarie klasser, trots att de upplevde vissa svårigheter. De kände att de hade stöd i att ha fler kamrater med AS i skolan som de kunde välja att umgås med på raster och lunch..
Högfungerande autism - en studie kring kommunikation och interaktion i klassrummet
SyfteSyftet med studien är att studera hur kommunikationen och interaktionen i klassrummet mellan elever med högfungerande autism eller Asperger syndrom, deras lärare och medelever gestaltar sig.TeoriSociokulturellt perspektivStudien tar utgångspunkt i det sociokulturella perspektivet, att man lär sig och utvecklas i samhandling och samspel med andra, samt i den kontexten man befinner sig i. Kommunikation och språk är centrala begrepp.Lärande- och autismperspektivPersoner med autism har ett annorlunda sätt att tänka och förstå världen på. Dettta är det viktigt att pedagogerna som jobbar med dessa barn är medvetna om, och att de vet vilka komplikationer som kan uppstå i en undervisningssituation, samt har fömågan att anpassa sin undervisning efter detta.MetodEn fallstudie har gjorts, och datainsamlingsmetoden är deltagande observation. Tre elever med högfungerande autism/Asperger syndrom har observerats i klassrumssituationen. Som dokumentationsmetod har löpande fältanteckningar använts, samt tid till reflektion efter varje observationstillfälle.ResultatAlla tre observerade elever kommunicerar med både verbalt och icke-verbalt språk både med lärare och medelever.
Alternativa verktyg, tillgänglighet och måluppfyllelse för elever i läs- och skrivsvårigheter : En fallstudie i årskurs 8 och 9
This study investigates how assistive technology tools are used in the classroom by students in reading and writing disabilities in the school years immediately prior to moving to gymnasium. Through observations and interviews with two students and two teachers this study also considers if the use of these tools can lead to increased accessibility and goal fulfilment, and whether these elements are prerequisites for success. The result shows that the students use laptops in the classroom, primarily for writing longer texts, and that in order to be successful, an early start, equipment, time and positive attitudes towards the tools are important. The students use the tools in the classroom, but they have very different feelings about how included they are in the class. The participants see a clear link between the use of assistive technology tools and increased goal fulfilment. .

For centuries Islam and Muslims have been subject to islamophobic attitudes in the west. The purpose with this study was to see into the making of open and closed attitudes against Islam and Muslims from a conflict in southern Thailand, and also to so see if Muslims are portrayed as more violent than the Buddhist groups in the conflict. The aim of the study is also to see if Muslims fall into a violent stereotype. This was studied by looking at five Swedish newspapers coverage of the conflict, during a given time. To be able to look into this, two theories will be used, the first one is the Runnymede Trust theory, which is about open and closed attitudes against Islam and Muslims.

Today environmental management systems (EMS) are common documents (more correctly, a combination of documents) that direct, steer and regulate environmental efforts within many companies. The intention of EMS is that its guidelines are reflected in how the employee carries out his everyday work tasks. This study aims to illuminate the attitudes that exist regarding the EMS at ALSTOM Power Sweden. By using questionnaires and interviews as a method to communicate with employees,a study of the existing attitudes regarding the EMS was carried out. The results were analyzed categorically and statistically and show that there are consistent attitudes among employees, but that there are also inconsistent attitudes.
Spår av autism i Czeslaw Milosz Issadalen - Traces of Autism in Czeslaw Milosz Valley of Issa
The partly autobiographical book Valley of Issa, written by Czeslaw Milosz describes (among other things) the childhood of a boy, Tomasz who is the main character, and his interactions with his relatives. In this essay I will claim that these characters possess startlingly obvious autistic traits, and in relation with this I raise and discuss another question: Does the author Milosz himself express autistic traits? My essay could hardly constitute a complete analysis with definite answers, (the bachelor format of the essay and the fact that Milosz is dead limits more extensive investigations) and I do not mean to claim that Milosz was a sick person, even though I may suspect it. Let this essay be an eye-opener and a visionary foundation for new approaches to Milosz authorship. The value of it lies in its approach.
Ett speciellt föräldraskap : Levda erfarenheter av att ha ett barn med autism eller Aspergers syndrom
Studien syftade till att utifrån en fenomenologisk utgångspunkt undersöka föräldrars erfarenheter av att ha barn med diagnos inom autismspektrumtillstånd, där bl.a. autism och Aspergers syndrom ingår. Detta paraplybegrepp ingår i sin tur i den medicinska termen neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar. Vi ville förstå hur föräldrarna uppfattade sin situation och hur både den och diagnosen tillskrevs mening.Vi intervjuade tre mödrar till barn med autismspektrumstörning. Resultatet analyserades utifrån metoden Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.

AbstractThe aim of the study was to examine how a school team works with formative assessment in compulsory school for pupils with intellectual disabilities. The study had a particular focus on formative assessment in relation to pupils with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Since there is a lack of research within the field of formative assessment and pupils with moderate and severe disabilities this study may contribute to new knowledge in this field. A sociocultural perspective has been used as a theoretical framework. A central concept in the sociocultural perspective is that people develop knowledge in interaction with other people and that communication and language is important. The methodical framework was inspired by an ethnographic approach and the empirical material was concocted by participatory observations and by interviews.
Euron, mer än siffror på ett papper? En studie av Eurokrisens påverkan på relationen mellan europeisk identitet och inställningen till euron
This bachelor thesis aim to explore in what way the Euro crisis have affected the reciprocal relationship between European identity and the attitudes towards the euro, and how it differs between the members in the Eurozone and members that have not yet introduced the euro. This thesis is grounded in a theoretical view that the euro is a symbol through which European identity is created, but also that European identity is a factor for the attitudes towards the euro as a single currency. By statistical analysis of empirical data collected through the Eurobarometer, I discover that there is a difference between how the relationship between the European identity and the attitudes towards the euro changes during the Euro crisis. Members without the euro seems to be more affected than members with the euro, as the correlation between European identity and attitudes towards the euro weakens for members without the euro, which do not seem to be the case in member countries within the Eurozone..
?Vi behöver också stöd? ? en empirisk studie om några pedagogers insatser för elever i behov av särskilt stöd
Syftet med denna uppsats är att som blivande pedagoger belysa hur man går tillväga för att hjälpa de elever i behov av särskilt stöd genom deras skolgång på ett gynnsamt sätt. Temat kommer alltid att vara relevant, eftersom det alltid kommer att finnas elever som är i behov av särskilt stöd och vilket gör det här temat ständigt aktuellt. Vi har valt att skriva om detta ämne för att vi personligen ville förvärva större kunskaper kring elever som är i behov av särskilt stöd. Vår frågeställning är: ?Vad är pedagogernas och rektorernas ansvar gentemot elever med DAMP, AD/HD, Tourette syndrom och Asperger syndrom inom skolverksamheten, samt hur kan pedagoger och skolledare hjälpa dessa elever och vad gör man för att underlätta dessa elevers skolgång och för att få fram deras kvaliteter på bästa möjliga sätt.? I litteratur delen så har vi tagit upp fakta om DAMP, AD/HD, Tourette syndrom och Asperger syndrom, lagar och bestämmelser, pedagogiska insatser och hur man arbetar inom skolan för att hjälpa dessa elever.
Trädgården som rehabilitering vid utmattningssyndrom
The aim of the study was to explore the methods used in horticultural therapy gardens in rehabilitating people suffering from fatigue syndrome. Nine horticultural therapy gardens were contacted of wich three chose to participate. Using case study as method e-mail interviews was carried out with the participants about their establishment and what kind of theories they based their methods upon. The material collected from the interviews was complemented with additional data from the establishments web pages and information pamphlets. Collected data was processed trough content analysis and then formed as background for the development of a program theory for horticultural therapy.

The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge of possibilities and obstacles for disabled people to meet a partner. The ambition was to know more about wishes for and needs of professional or other support. The methods have been literature studies, survey research, and interviews. A simple questionnaire was sent to administrative staff and social welfare officers who gave the information that they experienced those persons with intellectual disability or Aspergers syndrome had asked for support to meet a partner. To get a perspective from inside six semi structured interviews were made with disabled people having experience of relationships, love affairs.
