This essay deals with the rationale and aims for doing cultural or aesthetic activities and projects in schools, and gives special focus to a specific group of students, attending schools provided at special residential homes for young people (sa?rskilda ungdomshem). These homes receive young people with psychosocial and substance misuse problems and who show tendencies towards criminal behavior. The essay investigates how working with a cultural project in schools at these residential homes is justified and also elucidates how this specific group of students and their problems are constructed in the documents surrounding the project. The essay will further ponder over possible educational and pedagogical consequences of these constructions.The investigation has its theoretical frame work in curriculum theory.

Title: Are we born gifted or can we learn and teach our children to be musically interested? The aim of this study is to evaluate how we influence the development of musicality in children. The study included 30 persons divided into three groups (ten members in each group). Group 1 consisted of pregnant women. Group 2 consisted of parents of babies age 0 to 1 year old and group 3 teenage parents.

This report describes the master thesis project ?Weight Optimization of a Composite Chassis for a Multimodal Lightweight Vehicle? which is a part of the Master program in Naval Architecture and a part of a research project at the Centre for Naval Architecture, KTH. Demands on smart and energy efficient transport solutions are continuously increasing. In the Stockholm region the citizens are expected to increase with 25% and the road vehicles with 80% until 2030, putting high demands on the traffic system. Using a small multimodal vehicle deals with this problem and uses both the land and waterways for transportation.

Korta musikresor (Short Music Journeys) is the Swedish term used for a receptive method of music therapy adapted from the tradition of The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (BMGIM) and the theory and practice of Expressive Arts Therapy. The KMR method uses carefully selected short pieces of music, lasting between 2 and 5 minutes, to work on various psychological problems and life- crises. The music session is conducted in a slightly altered state of consciousness with a clear focus being established beforehand in a verbal dialogue with the psychotherapist. There is also the possibility of using artwork to process and explore the imagery after the music listening.

This thesis has been performed at Scania CV AB Technical Centre in Södertälje and its aim hasbeen to study the causes and effects of deformations in the interface between the rear axlehousing ADA1100 and the central gear house R780 during operation. Design changes that wouldincrease the sealing capability of the studied interface are also suggested. Finite element (FE)and CAD software have been the primary tools in this study.Finite element (FE) simulations are used in the industry to predict and develop engineeringdesigns. The main motive for FE simulations has traditionally been to identify weak spots in thedesign, regarding high tensions and large deformations.The FE model is an aggregation of submodels and interface models that represents the rear axlehousing, suspension, central gear, central gear housing, wheels, bolts and weldings, and theirinteractions. This is my final thesis in landscapeplaning at the Swedish University ofAgricultural Sciences (SLU). I discuss howthe countryside should be planned, witha sustainable perspective. In the study Iexamine four important conditions forplanning.The countryside is often defined bywhat it is not which makes it difficult todescribe in general terms. The definition ofthe term countryside in this study is takenfrom the National Rural DevelopmentAgency (Glesbygdsverket). The conclusionis: Planners and scientists should have anunderstanding for the complexity of thecountryside; otherwise there is a risk oflosing the characteristics of the country.The legislation, goals and conventionswhich have an impact on the Swedishcountryside are both national and international.To find out how the settlementdevelopment is dealt with, I havestudied the Swedish building legislations(among others, plan- och bygglagen andmiljöbalken).Similar to the difficulties on finding asuitable definition for the term countryside,it is complex to define the term sustainabledevelopment.

Den resa ni ska få följa med på börjar i ett brev till skolans prefekt Henry Stiglund där jag bland annat nämner två upptäckter under våren 2004 som jag blev mer nyfiken på och som jag hade en önskan att få fördjupa mig i. Dels var det en övning vi gjorde under genusdagarna på skolan och dels på sättet jag hittade en nyckel till min roll Trigorin i "Måsen" under workshopen då vi tog in de nya ettorna. Denna studie genomfördes på gymnasieskolans estetiska program under tiden gymnasiereformen, Gy 2011, tog form. Syftet med denna uppsats är att lyfta fram, medvetandegöra, synliggöra och beskriva en grupp teaterlärares grundläggande ställningstaganden om gymnasieskolans teaterundervisning. Två huvudteman interagerar. 1: Hur upplever gruppen teaterlärare balansen mellan konstnärliga och pedagogiska intentioner i teaterundervisningen? 2: Hur hanterar gruppen teaterlärare balansen mellan lärares initiativ och stimulans och elevernas möjligheter till självständigt skapande?  Med en kvalitativ metod genomfördes reflekterande gruppsamtal med sju teaterlärare.

Title: The social relation between student & teacher in individual music education. The aim of this study is to examine the relevance of the social relation between teacher and student in instrumental tuition in non-compulsory music education. The method I have used is qualitative interview inspired by phenomenology. I have made interviews with four persons who have experienced individual singing/instrumental studies on several different levels. In this paper I wish to shed light on what people who have experienced many years of singing/instrumental studies are telling about the social relation to their former pedagogues.

Title: Education and working life of music teachers, a study of the music teacher education at the Malmö Academy of Music - from a theoretical and practical perspective. The purpose of this study is to examine the possible flaws within the single subject music teacher education. The study is based on qualitative interviews of four informants, two recently graduated music teachers, and two representatives of the potential employment market. In the theory chapter we provide the reader with a pre-comprehension of the content and foundation of the music teacher department, as well as the duties of a music teacher. In the result chapter we provide a compilation of the opinions of our informants regarding the music teacher education at the Malmö Academy of Music, as well as the demands and expectations in their profession as a music teacher.

Denna uppsats behandlar ämnet lärande i organisationer med avseende på små organisationer.Vårt syfte är: att bidra med en ökad förståelse för hur lärandet påverkas av den interna kommunikationen i små organisationer. Den här förståelsen hoppas vi kan inspirera såväl praktiker som forskare, till att uppmärksamma den interna kommunikationens betydelse för lärandet inom små organisationer.Studien består av två fallstudier av kulturorganisationerna Iaspis (samtidskonst) och RawFusion Recordings (musik). Urvalet av fallorganisationer motiveras främst av deras storlek, samt att de båda verkar inom konst- och kultursektorn. Vi studerar för att verka inom denna sektor. Ansatsen är deduktiv och utgår från ett ramverk som baseras på forskning inom lärande i organisationer.
