Det finns inget som specifikt kan benämnas som antroposofisk landskapsarkitektur. Dock bidrar den antroposofiska helhetssynen till en omsorg om landskapet och en förkärlek att tydligare visualisera samband. Man menar att människan måste ta ett högre moraliskt ansvar för sin omvärld och tänka i kretslopp istället för avfall. Samtidigt finns inom antroposofin en ständig medvetenhet om de estetiska aspekterna på såväl detaljnivå som i det övergripande landskapet. Läran grundades av österrikaren Rudolf Steiner i början av 1900-talet, mycket av hans tankar var vidareutvecklingar av Johann Wolfgang von Goethes filosofier.

The debate today raises the question about the whole city?s pedagogic potential. Outdoor education is a pedagogy that comprises outdoor learning with focus on the sensual experiences. Connection to the classroom education is an important part of the pedagogy and so is the place for the tuition.But how should the place for the tuition, i.e.

Men städerna växer och kräver större plats och effektivare användning av mark.Rapporten beskriver olika sätt att tillämpa hållbar utveckling för ett stadsområde med kulturintressen, detta med bevarande och stärkande av dess kulturhistoriska värden samtidigt som en utveckling sker.Området som har valts som exempel är kvarteret Almen i Karlstad. Kvarteret är relevant i sammanhanget då det pågår utredningar runt kvarterets utveckling. Kvarteret Almen har även flera kulturbyggnader. Arbetet har genomförts tillsammans med Sweco Architects i Karlstad och Karlstad kommun.Projektet har som mål att utveckla området i de sociala och ekologiska aspekterna av hållbarhet, samtidigt som kulturintressena tas om hand.

In the increasing urban environments and the modern societies demands for sustainability there is a challange in planning cities with a balance between density and a satisfying access of recreational environments. For attractive cities these environments need to be designed to fit every inhabitants? demands and opinions in some way. Increased knowledge and understanding is therefore needed about how different design styles in landscape architecture affect people and the cities. In this bachelor thesis benefits and disadvantages as well as the experience and impact of two fundamental design styles i discussed; naturalistic and formal/abstract design.

Bedömning av estetiska ämnen har varit ifrågasatt gällande dess kvalité, rättvisa, funktion och hur det påverkar ämnet och individen. Studien syftar till att beskriva bedömning av det estetiska ämnet Visual Arts vid en lärarutbildning i Sydafrika presenterat ur ett lärarperspektiv. Forskningsfrågorna utgår från ämnesdidaktikens teori gällande Vad bedöms, Hur kommuniseras bedömningen och Varför görs bedömningen. Metoden som använts är ett två månaders fältarbete vid en bildlärarutbildning där jag följt tre lärare och deras arbete genom deltagande observation, samtal, intervjuer och insamling av vissa dokument.Det empiriska materialet har analyserat från de tre didaktiska frågorna. Resultatet visar att lärarna, som var utbildade konstnärer lade ned mycket tid och engagemang på bedömning.

This is a thesis about design of young stands of trees. A big source of inspiration has been Västerskog and Tor Nitzelius Park in Alnarp which both consists of a structure of squares. I wanted to examine if this type of planting could be valuable from an aesthetic and recreational point of view. One problem today is that many people believe that we have to wait for decades for a planting to grow up so that we can enjoy the ?ready result?.

In central Jönköping, on Munksjöns northern waterside a shopping centre will be built, on the block Atollen. The construction will begin in autumn of 2007 and will be finished according to plan in 2009. Atollens goal is to counteract the competition from external retailers and strengthen the retail trade in the city centre, leading to more attractive and competitive city centre.Atollen will not be a shopping centre in traditional style and design, it will be focused on shopping and experience. The shopping centre shall be a natural venue with a wide and exclusive store mix, concentrated against trend conscious customers. This will be created with the help of a futuristic design and architecture, with light, open and transparent spaces.

A geographical position and its social, cultural and political context as well as climate and specific physical characteristics define the scope for a landscape design project. This has become clearer for us in our master project where we have made a Design Program for the outdoor environment of Wollo University in Dessie, Ethiopia and analysed and reflected on the work and process. The aim for the project has been to design an attractive and functional outdoor environment for the Campus, based on the inventories and the needs and wishes of clients and users. But, the aim has also been for us as landscape architect students to gain a greater knowledge about landscape architecture and the design process by position ourselves outside our usual context. The method has been open and seeking where the site, literature studies, dialogues with people and our own experiences from the field study in Ethiopia has influenced the work. Wollo University is situated 400 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, in a mountainous landscape. It faces problems of heavy rainfall during the summer, soil erosion, a lack of essential facilities, and is still a construction site with empty spaces in-between buildings and infrastructure.

Competing is a well established work model among Swedisharchitects as well as in the international architect work force.Through this study we set out to get better acquainted with thiswork model in theory and in practice, and to hopefully gainknowledge that will be of use to us and to others working in thefield of architecture.Techniques, materials as well as the artistic expression ofcontemporary architecture is international and today?s architectsoperate on a global labour market. Architects often commit to workon assignments far away from where they are based. Therefore,to physically visit the site of interest may be time consuming,expensive as well as harmful to the environment. Is it possible fora designer to accomplish relevant proposals on how to develop andimprove a place that he or she has never visited? May there evenbe situations in which the outsiders point of view is preferable?These are questions that we aim to investigate, and we do sothrough participation in an international design competition.

An increased number of participants in the construction industry is asking for accompanying terrain models to the project in order to get a better understanding of the field. When the desire to create buildings that fit together nicely with the surrounding area is increasing, it becomes more and more important to have a broad base of knowledge about the ground on which the building is to be erected. Terrain models are also very useful in the planning of logistics, documentation for landscape architecture projects, and billings for mass calculations.Surveys for creating terrain models can be performed with laser scanning. The advantage of laser scanning is the time-effective surveying, the detailed information as well as the ability of application in complex environments resulting in a cost-efficient project. With this in mind our thesis was defined in collaboration with the company Bjerking AB in Uppsala in order to investigate if there were any softwares suitable for terrain modeling.

The shape and arrangement of the outdoor environment at a preschool has a critical impact on the possibilities to practice different pedagogic activities (Grahn et al.1997). At the preschool at Edwin Ahlqvists road, the employees are inspired by Reggio Emilia in their way of thinking, and they consider their outdoor environment is not suitable for the pedagogic activities they use. Reggio Emilia is a city in the north of Italy (Wallin 2001). The preschools there are famous for their pedagogy, their creativity and their democratic way of working (Dahlbech & Johansson 1986). The Reggio Emilia pedagogy is constantly renewed and developed, but with the children?s needs in focus and simultaneously with the quick changes of the modern society.

Moelven Byggmodul AB är ett företag som arbetar med industriell tillverkning av volymbyggda trähus. En kritisk konstruktionsdel som utsätts för stora variationer mellan projekten är trappor. Ett projekteringsverktyg som underlättar arbetet med trappor skulle innebära att tidsödande arbete elimineras då de nuvarande arbetsmetoderna inte alltid är konsekventa. Under 2007 tog Sandberg fram en teoretisk demonstrator som i ord och bilder beskriver ett sådant projekteringsverktyg för trappor. Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att undersöka om ett hjälpmedel för regelstyrd 3D-projektering vid insättning av trappor i en trävolym kan parametriseras i AutoCAD Architecture 2008 (ACA2008).

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Next are three chapters presentedwhich introduce the reader to the research conductedbefore starting the proposal, these include: results ofliterature studies, study of precedents, and results of fieldstudy.

In the democratic process, of discussion and decision making, there is a need of reliable and authentic information. Archives are authentic and reliable information and also provides long term accessibility. But the public archives potential isn´t utilized enough at a societal level. The public archives are organized in a decentralised manner, and there are no common accesspoint at a national level. In the thesis this issue of accessibility and use at a societal level, is discussed in terms of collective memory.

Katten är idag ett vanligt sällskapsdjur, både i Sverige och i andra delar av världen. År 2012 fanns det 1159000 katter i Sverige, placerade i 745 000 hushåll. Av dessa var 56,8 % huvudsakligen innekatter och 43,2 % var huvudsakligen utekatter. Vi vet sedan tidigare att kattägare i högre utsträckning än andra djurägare lämnar sina oönskade djur till svenska katthem, som idag är överfulla. I denna studie visade det sig att rumsrenhetsproblem var den vanligaste typen av problembeteende enligt kattägarna själva (25,2 %). Detta problem är enligt tidigare studier den vanligaste orsaken av beteendeproblem som leder till bortlämnade av katter till katthem.
