The aim of the thesis was to identify whether, and if so how, aspects of sexual health (reproductive health and cohabitation) are compiled in the National Quality Register and identify reasons for this. A quantitative method has been applied to go through the registers annual reports. In the first part of the thesis, the registers annual reports was mapped with the help of a checklist designed through World Health Organizations (WHO) definition of sexual health. In the second part, a questionnaire was sent to those responsible for each register to find reasons to why and how sexual health is included in the National Quality Registers. The result shows that sexual health is not usually included in the register data, although the survey showed that most registers brought up aspects that could affect the current target group's sexual health.

In the current study, the aim was to investigate whether tail posture and motion can be an indicator of the emotional state of pigs and if the tail posture of the pig is affected by social breeding value (SBV), coping style and/or housing. Emotional state can be defined in two dimensions: valence and arousal. Two batches of 96 finishing pigs were studied in a one generation selection experiment with a 2x2 set up and were housed in a barren or straw bedded pen. In each pen, 6 pigs (3 male, 3 female) were housed. A back-test was done to determine the coping style of the pigs with two categories; high resister and low resister pigs.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att kartlägga, belysa och granska hur pedagoger i förskolan och specialpedagoger arbetar med att stimulera barns språkutveckling i förskolan, vilket arbetssätt, metoder och material de använder. Syftet är också att undersöka om pedagoger i förskolan har tillgång till specialpedagogiskt stöd i sitt arbete, och hur detta eventuella stöd ser ut. Studien tar upp en översikt av tidigare forskning i ämnet, och med hjälp av intervjuer och frågeformulär sökte vi svar på våra problemformuleringar. Vi ville se hur pedagoger och specialpedagoger arbetar med att stimulera barns språkutveckling i förskolan. Även förekomsten av specialpedagogiskt stöd undersöktes.

In this study we have examined how men and women are heard on Sveriges Televisions program Debatt. Debatt broadcast on Sveriges Televison which is a public service broadcaster. Through the use of a quantitative content analysis and a dialogical approach, we have documented how many men and women who speak, how they speak, how long they have the word and the subjects they will be heard in, in the program Debatt. We have investigated the ten last broadcast programs from the fallseason 2011. Every program is 45 minutes long and contains from two to three discussiontopics each time. By categorizing our survey and enter the result in four different tables, we found that the majority, 63%, of those that are heard are men.

Ever since its conceptual birth, the questioning of consequences due to the implementation of ideas from the reformation doctrine, called New Public Management, has been a common occurance among those who have dedicated themselves to research in superior methods of Public Administration. What this thesis aims to do is shed light upon what value-conflicts may occur within public administration organisations when they begin to idealize the rationalization of economic issues. The goal of this thesis will be fulfilled through the creation of two ideal types of public administration that exist in opposition to each other. These two ideal types will show two different views on how decision-making and organisation will be managed in their respective sectors. By doing this, there will be clarification as to what conflicting values arise with the implementation of ideas taken from New Public Management, as well as defining the fundamental difference between which ethical decision model is used..

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att studera hur Föreningen för Rättvisemärkt mobiliserar konsumenter att engagera sig i föreningen. För att uppfylla syftet valdes kritisk diskursanalys som metod, då denna erbjuder ett antal analysverktyg som är av stor nytta vid en textanalys. För att få en djupare förståelse av det empiriska materialet har ett antal teoretiska ingångar valts, bland dessa återfinns teorier som belyser olika infallsvinklar av konsumtionssamhället. Fokus har legat på att visa hur Föreningen för Rättvisemärkt tillskriver konsumenter makt att påverka gränsöverskridande frågor. Studien visar hur marknaden framställs av Föreningen för Rättvisemärkt som en alternativ politisk Arena, där konsumtion kan fungerar som ett maktmedel för att genomdriva reformer i Syd.

 Forskning inom området efterlyser nya sätt att möta anställdas behov av kompetensutveckling på en mer föränderlig arbetsmarknad. Rapporten syftar till att undersöka chefers erfarenhet av och syn på utvecklingssamtal som de håller med anställda. Detta för att studera utvecklingssamtalets koppling till kompetensutveckling av personal. I studien har fem chefer med ansvar för utvecklingssamtal intervjuats. Studien är genomförd med kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer.

Det talas mycket om ledarskap i arbetslivet idag. Utbudet av kurser och seminarier iämnet tycks oändligt och vi har ett stadigt ökande antal management-modeller att förhållaoss till. Att lära sig något om ledarskapets villkor tycks således vara intressant för mångaav oss.Företagsledaren som person ägnas stor uppmärksamhet i media, och tenderar då attantingen beskrivas som superhjälte eller monster (Rehn, 2003). Medias ökande inflytandeoch den tilltagande personifieringen bidrar till att göra det offentliga rummet till endominerande Arena när det gäller konstruktionen av ledarskap (Holmberg, 2005).Med detta som bakgrund fann jag det intressant att studera den plats på företagenshemsidor där VD väljer att tala till oss, närmare bestämt under vinjetten ?VD har ordet?.Som företagets främsta representant fann jag att VD var en intressant ledare att studeraoch då företagens hemsida är en intressant del av det offentliga rummet blev detta mittval av ?Arena?.Det jag ville ta reda på i min studie var hur företeelsen ?VD har ordet? konstrueras ochvad denna konstruktion kan säga oss om ledarskapet idag.

This study is about Swedish football supporters located on the cheering section of the Arena. These supporters are often being described as hooligans and as a threat to Swedish football. The aim of this study were therefor to provide further knowledge about the supporters on the cheering section and their culture. Questions about supporter behaviour and supporters own opinion on their effect at Swedish football and supporter culture were examined. The data was collected thru a web-based survey of Swedish football supporters.

This study deals with the phenomenon of European integration and its impact on national party programs in Poland, a current member state of the European Union. The author will argue that the question of European integration has left a mark on the political party programs of two mainstream domestic parties on opposite sides of the ideological dimension, in the form of a certain degree of convergence regarding the ?European issue?. Relating the result of the analysis to the theoretical structure of Europeanization and sociological institutional change, the essay will attempt to show a possible link between them. Although this trend does not seem to indicate any dramatic effects of the membership per se in the programs (the national Arena seems, in most cases, be of more value for party activities) there is an indirect effect in the form of the presence of Europarties and a pronounced incentive for social and economic adaptation..

This study investigates the internet habits of students in the Swedish gymnasium. The part that internet plays in their lives and their attitude towards the educational system is reflected upon the philosophical background that stretches from Kant to postmodern philosophers such as Baudrillard. The aim is to create knowledge about how the social aspects of the internet affects their concepts of reality and their own and others identities. The method used for the collection of empirical data has been semi-structured interviews, preformed with students in a Swedish gymnasium. The data is then interpreted against the theoretical and philosophical background.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to examine what actually makes Russia an incomplete democracy, despite of all the formal democratic institutions and legal democratic rights.The research method used for this essay has been qualitative case study, which strives to answer two research questions: Which democratic principles are not respected in Russia? How does the executive power control the political Arena? The theoretical framework used for this study consists of a model based on Dahls Polyarchy theory and the Rule of Law concept. The conclusions points out that very little have formally changed in Russia regarding democratic rights and the constitution. The democratic decline is due to political manoeuvres and undue political influence. There is no proper division of power and the executive powers are not controlled by a system of checks and balances.

Interaction is an important part of children?s development. The school is a main Arena in which children learn to interact, mainly through their playing. This study aims at investigating the role of interaction in a leisure school didactic setting. The aim of the study is to gain a better understanding for how the pupils develop though use of social interaction.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera i vilken omfattning teorin för den gränslösaorganisationen kan appliceras och förbättra FMLOG: s förmåga att stödja Försvarsmaktensinternationella insatser samt att besvara på vilket sätt ?Den gränslösa organisationen?påverkar Försvarsmaktens Logistikorganisation genom att besvara följande frågor:1. I vilken grad påverkar Försvarsbeslut 2004 Förvarsmaktens logistik organisation?2. I vilken grad kan Försvarsmaktens logistik göras till gränslös organisation?För att besvara dessa frågor har gjorts en litteraturstudie och en enkätundersökning, somteoretisk koppling har använts Ron Ashkenas ?Den gränslösa organisationen?.Av uppsatsens resultat framgår att det finns möjlighet att applicera den gränslösaorganisationsteorin på Försvarsmaktens logistikorganisation.

Syftet med denna studie är att studera hur ett språkutvecklande förhållningssätt kan yttra sig i planeringen, organiserandet och utförandet av en vardaglig rutin på förskolan nämligen måltiden och då specifikt lunchen. Jag har valt att fokusera på lunchen eftersom den är en vardaglig aktivitet som förekommer på varje svensk förskola. Undersökningens design utgörs av två komparativa fallstudier och jag använder mig av två kombinerade metoder. Dels gör jag två typer av strukturerade observationer och dels genomför jag ostrukturerade intervjuer. Jag har valt att undersökta två förskolor i Stockholmsområdet.
