En fallstudie tillämpades för att undersöka de inbyggda apparna, Internet Explorer 10, den nya utforskaren File Explorer och reparationsverktyget ?Återställ datorn utan att ta bort filer? i Windows 8. Analysen visade att apparna E-post, Kontakter och Meddelanden sparade större delar av användarens Facebook-profil lokalt på datorns hårddisk. När bildfiler öppnades upp med appen Foton sparades miniatyrbilder av originalet på hårddisken. När videofiler spelades upp med appen Video sparades filnamnet i filer.

Purpose: The purpose of our thesis is to analyze the application of models from product branding on job-seeking business students as a way to establish a personal brand.Conclude: We found that the principles of product branding closely resembles those of personal branding and are therefore applicable. This aim of this thesis is to measure the effect of the user interface in real searches on the Internet through a small experiment. Theories on web and search usability and psychological factors concerning usability were first explored. Then three interfaces were constructed, one "good" that followed usability guidelines and had multiple search functions, one "bad" that completely disobeyed those guidelines and had only a simple and small search field, and one "intermediate" interface that was a mix of the two. The search field was set to different sizes, with the shortest in the "bad" interface, a medium field in the "intermediate" interface and several long fields in the "good" interface. All three interfaces were then attached to the same web search engine, Altavista.

It is designed to gain electricity from tidal currents. Deep Green works in a similar way as a kite that is attached to the seafloor with a moving wire. MobisleApps utvecklar och underhåller en applikation för mobila enheter så som iPhone och Android som heter MobisleNotes. Denna applikation ger användaren möjlighet att skriva anteckningar i mobilen och synkronisera dessa till en extern server. MobisleApps vill erbjuda ytterligare möjligheter för användarna att skriva anteckningarna och har bestämt sig för göra detta med hjälp av en webbläsare och ett gränssnitt mot den externa servern.Detta examensarbete syftar till att ta fram ett sådant webbgränssnitt och att undersöka om detgår att använda något ur de nya standarderna för Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) och Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).Genom att utveckla ett webbgränssnitt som ger användaren möjlighet att logga in, skapa, ändra och ta bort anteckningar som synkroniseras till telefonen via en extern server har jag uppfyllt de krav som ställdes.Slutsatsen av rapporten är att det är möjligt att använda en del nya HTML5 och CSS3 funktionalitet och egenskaper. Detta om det görs för att förstärka webbgränssnittets funktionalitet och utseende medan man inte förlitar sig på att alla användare kommer att ha en uppdaterad webbläsare.  AbstractMedia has since a long time back been writing about extensive thievery of recreational boats and their engines. The value of the stolen goods is estimated to several hundreds of million Swedish crowns per year. The widespread stealing creates a secondary market where boats sometimes are sold by sellers that do not have the rights to sell the boat. This creates risk for the buyer who most often is a private person. A situation the buyer can face is that the boat was stolen and that the original owner can demand to get the boat or engine back.

In today's society there is a significant focus on energy efficiency. Despite this, people leave lamps, televisions and computer screens etc. powered on unnecessarily. The goal of this project is to build a simple prototype for home automation where a user, via an application on a mobile phone, can switch on and off the power of an electrical products in the home and as well as being able to check whether such products are switched on or off. The prototype will also collect data on power consumption for these electrical products.

The business potential of software defined radio (SDR) technology is studied by evaluating whether or not its characteristics correspond to those particular to a disruptive technology. The maturity of the SDR technology concept is illuminated by analyzing the opinions and perspectives of a selection of representatives for different stakeholders in the wireless communications market. Characteristics as, for example, the degree of consensus about the utility of SDR technology and the awareness of features and limitations are studied by application of the theory of technological frames. This theory helps us understand how and when technology evolution takes place. Finally we describe the value network structures of some potentially viable application areas for SDR and suggest some possible business opportunities based on SDR technology.This thesis is carried out as a case study and the research data is obtained from secondary sources, such as literature and Internet publications as well as interviews with people well experienced in the field of wireless communications.

Enginge Services är ett av världens största underhålls- och servicecenter för flygmotorer och gasturbiner. De underhåll som utförs innefattar olika nivåer av service, allt från lättare detaljreparationer till kompletta motoröversyner. När offerter ska tas fram i samband med nya underhållskontrakt saknas idag ett verktyg för att analysera data från tidigare utförda arbeten och det upplevs som ett problem. Syftet med examensarbetet är att bygga en databas som ska användas i offertarbetet samt att studera vilken nytta databasen kan medföra.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the retrieval performance of two search engines, Yahoo! News and Sesam, specialized on indexing news articles in Swedish. Thirty search questions were used in this study, divided into three different categories: domestic news, amusement and sport. Precision has been calculated both for the 30 search questions as a total and for the three categories as well. Precision was calculated at every DCV-level and then divided with the number of search questions used, in an attempt to reach an average measure.

The catchphrase this project has been; the boundaries between ornamentation and improvisation are fluid.My aim was to focus on my work process, giving me the space and time so develop my design further regarding shape, color and combination of different styles in patterns.This is an explorative project where patterns were created without a predetermined product of which the patterns would be applied. In a later stage the character of the pattern determined which product that would be most suitable for application.It resulted in a collection of patterns for wallpaper and clothing. The motives are foxes, geometrical shapes and squares from a notebook. These motives form an ornamental expression in the patterns with the purpose of embellishment and therefore increase the emotional value of the product..

Purpose: The aim of this thesis has been to study and obtain greater understanding of the consequences of active social media use. Specifically, in terms of social identity, social life and the sense of belonging. Secondly, the thesis studies the consequences of disconnecting and for a limited amount of time opt out of the social media context.Method/material:  The study is based on an explorative, cultural ethnographically-inspired method, in which four respondents were studied: two men and two women, all frequent users of social media. This was done in three steps: initial interviews, followed by social media diaries and finally a focus group. By allowing these methods to complement each other, the goal was to create an overall picture of the importance of social media in their everyday lives.The study's focus lies on the week in which the respondents kept social media diaries.
