Therefore it is important to identify in which areas skills and resources already are available within the company, and where it must be obtained through a learning process.The report also highlights that equity based crowdfunding, because of legal restrictions surrounding the issue of unlisted shares, can not be marketed as other types of crowdfunding. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether or not capitalism, viewed here as the system that is currently the dominant economic system in the Western world, can be seen as a modern myth or not. An author, Brian Tracy, of several popular self-help books is the target of this investigation and the language he uses in his books have been scrutinized in order to see whether or not he uses a religiously influenced, and more importantly, myth-creating language. In order to do so, Bruce Lincolns theories of myth have been used in correlation with Stefan Arvidssons definition ov myths. Also of interest is whether or not Tracy in his books uses any of the instruments of power defined by Michel Foucault to support his claims.The investigation shows that capitalism indeed can be seen as a modern myth. This claim is supported by the facts that Tracy not only uses a language heavily influenced by Christian texts and belief but furthermore because he descirbes himself and the people he claims to have helped in a way that strongly resembles the narratives of myths.

The aim of this study is to analyze the justification of a financial incentive that rewards students who rapidly finish their studies within the language education ?Swedish for immigrants? (sfi). Thereby, we want to see what assumptions are made about the students, and relate this to experiences of the education at a local level. We applied a text analysis on a government bill about the incentive, which showed that the deficiencies in the education are said to be caused by the students? lack of effort.

Hepatitis E virus, HEV, is a frequent causative agent behind, especially waterborne, infections in developing countries such as India. However, during the last years the number of non-travel-associated infections in industrialised countries, for example US, Germany and Sweden, has increased. The symptoms vary from mild with nausea to icterus and it can even be lethal. There are four different genotypes of HEV and many studies consider HEV infection to be a zoonosis. Scientists have by using phylogenetic analyses found great genetic similarity between strains isolated from humans, pigs and food, such as pork and liver, especially among viruses belonging to genotype 3.

Purpose: To examine the governance mechanisms and the competence PE-firms adds to theirholding companies through an active ownership in order to create growth.Methodology: A qualitative study with interviews as its main source of data.Theoretical perspectives: Corporate governance and relevant theories within that subjectsuch as agent theory, board of directors and management. Previous research within the subjectwill also be presented.Empirical foundation: The empirical foundation consists of three conducted interviews anddata collected from the chosen PE-firms as well as six different holding companies.Conclusions: The governance mechanisms used in the PE-firms we have chosen are stronglyrelated to both theories within corporate governance as well as previous research on thesubject. The governance mechanisms being used are an explicit owners agenda and strategy, athorough acquisition process, usage of external competence, active ownership through theboard of directors and the insertion of incentive systems..

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka möjlighetsvillkoren för barns karnevaliska lekar och subjektskapande i förskolan. Studien är kvalitativ med avseende på insamlingmetod och utgår från det postshumanistiska perspektivet agentisk realism. Studiens empiri har samlats in med hjälp av videoobservationer och fältanteckningar. Studiens resultat visar att karnevaliska lekar är vanligt förekommande i de förskolor där studien utförts och fokus i studien ligger främst på hur miljön i förskolan möjliggör för eller förhindrar de karnevaliska lekarna. Studiens resultat pekar vidare mot att de karnevaliska lekarna kontinuerligt sker i samverkan mellan mänskliga och icke-mänskliga aktörer.

Uppsatsen har till syfte att beskriva och analysera vilken funktion förvaltningsrevisionen fyller i aktiemarknadsbolag som tillämpar Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning, samt ge förslag på hur förvaltningsrevisionen bör förändras i dessa bolag. Uppsatsen är till största del deduktiv då den tar sin utgångspunkt i teorier. Vidare grundas uppsatsen på en kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer med revisorer och institutionella ägare. Den teoretiska referensramen utgörs av en egen analysmodell som tar sin utgångspunkt i agent- och principalteorin samt förtroendeteori och institutionell teori. Revisorernas och de institutionella ägarnas svar har beskrivits och analyserats utifrån fyra områden, nämligen förvaltningsrevisionens innehåll, behovet av förvaltningsrevision, den svenska bolagskodens påverkan på förvaltningsrevisionen och förvaltningsrevisionens framtid.

Bonus till VD har de senaste åren varit ett hett debatterat ämne inom både media och av forskare. En hel del bonusskandaler har uppmärksammats på senare tid. Exempelvis har vissa bolag valt att öka sin rörliga ersättning till VD trots sjunkande resultat.Denna studie syftar till att mäta om samband finns mellan ersättningen till VD och företagets prestation respektive storlek. För att svara på uppsatta frågeställningar, har författarna valt en kvantitativ forskningsmetod med en deduktiv ansats där de valda teorierna appliceras på studiens resultat. Data granskas och analyseras med hjälp av hypotesprövningar, regressionsanalyser och korrelationsprövningar.Populationen som valts att behandla är de företag på Stockholmsbörsen som listades under Large Cap våren 2012.

Denna uppsats analyserar företagens förändrade vilja att betala skatt efter skattereformen 1990. Reformen 1990 innebar i stort sett en halvering av företagens vinstskattesats. Analysen görs utifrån två hypoteser där den primära av de två hävdar att aktiebolagens skattegrundande inkomst har ökat efter reformen. Den sekundära hypotesen hävdar att reformen har påverkat större företags taxerade inkomst i större utsträckning än för mindre företag. Samtliga beräkningar är inflationsrensade och korrigerade för konjunkturer med hjälp av en deflator.Med hjälp av regressionsanalys kan vi visa att företagens skattegrundande inkomst statistiskt signifikant har ökat efter skattereformen.

Bakgrund och problem: Separationen mellan ägande och drift skapar en situation som ledertill att prestationsbaserad ersättning används för att skapa incitament för VD att maximeraägarnas egenintresse. Ägarintressena i investmentbolag kan vara kopplade till både makt ochvinstmaximering vilket gör det intressant att undersöka huruvida ersättningen till VDpåverkas av ägarstrukturen och företagets prestation.Syfte: Studien syftar till att belysa om det i ett urval av svenska investmentbolag finns någonkoppling mellan ägarstruktur och ersättning till VD. Vidare ämnar studien att för samma urvalbelysa eventuella samband mellan ersättningen till VD och investmentbolagets relativaprestation.Metod: Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär och baseras på ett urval av fem investmentbolag.Den teoretiska referensramen utgår från principal-agent konflikten. Vi behandlar prostitutionen i Thailand genom att undersöka hur den prostituerades roll har konstruerats i samhället. Empiriskt använder vi oss av en thailändsk statlig rapport, som svarar på FN-avdelningen CEDAWs antidiskrimineringskonvention. I denna rapport redogörs för kvinnorättssituationen i landet. Med feministisk teori gör vi en kvalitativ textanalys för att klarlägga den politiska diskursen kring den prostituerades roll och hur denna har formats. Utifrån vår analys konstaterar vi att den prostituerade hamnar i ett stigma där hon beroende på situationen identifieras som antingen en promiskuös agent med personliga ekonomiska incitament eller som ett hjälplöst offer.

The aim of this thesis was to study financial support within the Church of Sweden and the view of the church?s diaconal work. This was done with a quantitative method where a survey sent to a number of churches containing questions about financial support within the church and how they, the respondents, looked at the church?s role as a welfare agent. Of the almost 200 congregations only 23 congregations responded.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka befintlig värderingsteoris tillämplighet på fallföretaget. Fallföretaget jämförs även med konkurrenter i branschen för att utreda generaliserbarheten för fallstudiens resultat på branschen som helhet. En kvalitativ analys av ett fallföretag genomförs. Information erhålls genom intervjuer med fallföretagets VD och utvalda analytiker och branschkunniga, samt genom insamlande av finansiell data. En kvantitativ branschstudie genomförs i syfte att jämföra fallföretaget med dess konkurrenter.
