Apart from recognizing and neutralizing threats, antibodies also have the ability to regulate immune responses against their specific antigen. IgG administered together with erythrocytes is well known to induce >99% suppression. This has been used to prevent haemolytic disease in new-borns since the 1960's, but the mechanism behind it is still not completely understood. The effect on the primary response is well established, but its influence on induction of immunological memory is still heavily debated. In this study adoptive cell transfer of splenocytes to irradiated mice was used to survey the effect IgG has on induction of immunological memory without disturbance from the primary IgG response.

Syftet med min uppsats är att studera eleverna på en högstadieskola i ett mindre samhälle i Skåne om klimatet på skolan. Med klimatet på skolan menar jag hur de trivs med varandra, med vuxna på skolan, förekommer det mobbning, trakasserier och kränkande behandlingar. Hur trivs eleverna egentligen på skolan, är det så illa som en del elever påstår eller trivs de bra på skolan under skoltid och hur är attityden mellan eleverna. Metoden är en enkätundersökning på ca 100 elever jämnt fördelat på årskurs 7,8 och 9 på skolan. Huvudresultatet var betydligt bättre än vad eleverna beskrev vid andra tillfällen och stämde överens med andra större undersökningar inom samma forskningsområde.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om och hur flickor påverkas av sociala medier, med inriktning på fenomenen Facebook och Instagram. Studien omfattar 78 stycken enkäter besvarade av flickor som är mellan 14 och 15 år gamla och går på olika högstadieskolor i norra Sverige. Resultaten visar att de flesta av flickorna har konton på sociala medier och använder dessa regelbundet. Nästan alla har tillgång till internet via deras mobiltelefon vilket gör att sociala medier ständigt är närvarande. Slutsatsen i vår studie visar på att flickornas utseende tycks spela en stor roll när de presenterar sig själva på sociala medier.

C-uppsats i dramapedagogik, Akademin för utbildning och ekonomi, Högskolan i Gävle.Syftet med undersökningen är att belysa och problematisera vad det kan innebära för dramapedagoger att arbeta utifrån ett normkritiskt förhållningssätt. Det undersöks med frågeställningarna:- Hur går det att förstå och tolka dramapedagogers erfarenhet av att arbeta normkritiskt? - Vilka strategier går det att finna i dramapedagogers normkritiska arbete? - Vilka styrkor för att arbeta normkritiskt går det att finna inom dramapedagogiken? - Finns det några svårigheter i mötet mellan dramapedagogik och normkritisk pedagogik?Undersökningen är kvalitativ med en hermeneutisk ansats som utgår från queer- och intersektionalitetsteorier och anti-opressive education.

Vårt syfte med arbetet är att få en ökad kunskap om barn med svårigheter såsom, stress, läs- och skrivsvårigheter, DAMP, övervikt, fysiska handikapp och mobbning. Vi vill också få en ökad förståelse för hur man kan underlätta för dessa barn i idrottsundervisningen. Våra frågeställningar: Är skolans idrott viktig för elevernas fysiska och psykiska utveckling? Kan man inom idrottsämnet underlätta för barn med de svårigheter av de slag vi studerat? Hur definieras dessa typer av svårigheter i litteraturen och hur uppmärksammar man dem hos barn? Vi har lagt tyngdpunkten på litteraturstudien men har även en empirisk del där verkligheten speglas av specialpedagoger och idrottslärares erfarenhet. Genom arbetet har vi kommit fram till att många av dessa svårigheter som vi valt att behandla, har uppstått genom att samhället har förändrats och människan har inte anpassat sig efter det..

The purpose of my essay is on one hand to research and evaluate the measures that one intermediate school in Sweden, uses in order to prevent bullying and stop it in the event that one pupil happens to get bullied or harassed. In other words, I would like to show how that school is capable of creating a safe environment. Qualitative research is used to obtain these findings.On the other hand, I also wish to examine what pupils at the school think about these measures and how they perceive the attitudes of the school?s teachers and management regarding the prevention of bullying. In order to acquire this information quantitative research is used.The conclusions that I draw after conducting my research are as follows:1- Regarding the ?Anti ? bullying Performance Plan?, my essay shows that school teachers and management actively work in order to maintain a safe environment and as a result bullying is successfully prevented the school.

Ända sedan vaccinering upptäcktes på 1800-talet har det funnits grupperingar som aktivt har bekämpat förekomsten av vaccinering och argumenterat för att de antingen är ineffektiva eller att de är farligare än de epidemier de hävdas bekämpa. Ibland har dessa anti-vaccin kampanjer varit mycket framgångsrika. Ca 4% procent av Sveriges befolkning uppger att de har litet eller mycket litet förtroende för forskare. Ca 20% att de inte tänkte vaccinera sig mot svininfluensan under 2009. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att genom en litteraturstudie undersöka hur media, riskuppfattning, religion, konspirationsteorier och utbildning inverkar på uppfattningen om vacciner.

Previous studies have shown that teachers in school are having an insufficientknowledge about the bullying at their own school. These studies are based from pupils point of view at the senior level of the nine-year compulsory school. Based on this literature we became critical and wanted to examine this closer.The purpose of this essay was to find out and to examine how the staff in two different senior level of compulsory school notice, prevent and counteract bullying in their daily line of work. With this essay we hope to get the schools attention and understanding about this existing problem. We have done a qualitative study using qualitative method for collection of data.

En kvalitativ studie genomfördes för att studera vad som påverkar och skapar motivation till beteendeförändring hos drogmissbrukare. Studien undersökte också miljöns betydelse för att bryta ett drogmissbruk. En intervjuguide med öppna frågor skapades. Genom ett kriteriebaserat snöbollsurval kontaktades tio personer varav nio män och drogfriheten var i genomsnitt 3.2 år. Enligt drive theories är motivation en drivkraft som ger energi till att sätta igång, upprätthålla och rikta behovsrelaterade mål.

The aim of this study was to analyze discursive patterns in publications and attitude researches on bullying published by The Swedish National Agency for Education. The focus was largely on whether there is a pattern in the narration of how teachers and pupils are portrayed as perpetrators in a situation where bullying occurs. The empirical material of the study was acquired by use of a qualitative method where publications published between the years of 2002 and 2014 were selected. Dictums concerning teachers and pupils as bullies have been compared and surveyed where differences in how they were depicted was the object of analysis. To enable such a study, Foucault's theories on discourse and power were applied on the empirical material in the analysis.The result shows that bullying in general almost always refers to the pupil as the perpetrator while teachers are under-represented in the same context.

This thesis examines how the EU and Sweden aim to prevent radicalization through their strategies on preventing violent extremism (PVE). It contributes to PVE knowledge by examining how both actors plan preventive measures to combat radicalization and promote resilient societies. Analyzing Sweden's anti-terrorism strategy (Skr. 2014/15:146) and the EU strategy (COM(2020) 795 final), this study shows similarities in their approaches, particularly in targeting schools and youth with their preventive measures. Emphasis is placed on education to promote democratic and critical thinking, thus promoting resilience against radicalization.

Method: The thesis is based on literary studies. By combining theories and empirics regarding the health care market, competition and profit, a deeper understanding of the aspects important for the chosen subject, is created. Combined with official reports and the new legislation, an analysis is formed.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine the activity at the library and preschool at Kristineberg (a part of the town of Borås) and its underlying approach. How do the activities agree with the ideological attitudes of the 1970s? To answer these questions I have carried out a case study based on qualitative interviews. The theoretical background includes ideas of the library, the community center and the cultural activity at the library.

During installation and operation of a geothermal heat pump system leakage of an antifreezing agent can appear in a borehole and leak out in surrounding groundwater. To guarantee high quality drinking water for generations to come Sweden has dedicated some areas as water protection areas. The local authority gives permits for the installation of heat pump systems within water protection areas. Before giving a permit the local authority makes an evaluation of the risks involved in installation and operation of the system within the area. By keeping a certain distance between the protected object in the area and the heat pump system the risk of polluting the protected object with an anti-freezing agent can be reduced.This thesis makes a comparison between three different methods of calculating an appropriate distance between the protected object and the heat pump system.

National identity, multiculturalism and invisible norms are three conceptions focused on in this essay. They are discussed and analysed with the purpose of deepening deepen the understanding of their meaning. Further on they become instruments in a study of the Liberal Party's proposal for new politics of integration. My ambition is to distinguish signs of a Swedish national identity in this proposal and to interpret the party's relation to multiculturalism.The method of this essay comprises partly a literature study and partly a qualitative analysis of text.My discussion and analysis ended in an understanding of national identity and multiculturalism as complex and interrelated conceptions. I found parts of a Swedish national identity in the value of working, in the fear of the cultural unknown and of eventual anti Swedish culture, in the idea of Sweden as the best country in the world considering gender equality and in the strong defence for the Swedish language.
