Spelifiering som motivationshöjande hjälpmedel för fysisk aktivitet
In today?s world there are plenty of technological tools and methods available with the purpose to increase peoples motivation for a healthier lifestyle. One such tool is a so-called activity tracker which uses sensors to log the user's everyday life and present it as automatic feedback. Gamification is a new and successful method to motivate and engage people in fulfilling tasks by using game elements and mechanics. In this study, five participants were instructed to use the activity tracker and pedometer Fitbit Flex daily for three weeks. Halfway through the study the participants were ranked and listed against each other in a ranking list in order to evoke competition.

Companies in the western world can no longer compete by using traditional means such as product and price since the commerce of services continually grows. To avoid similarity and increase competitive advantages modern companies have to be more specified. The competition between companies has increased and customers are harder to reach. Customers of today can afford luxury but trend indicates that originality, identity, and status are more important than factual needs. Products created and consumed at the same time within the service market are often very homogenous (similar).

The demand for shopping centers has increased in recent time and more shopping centers have been built. To become competitive shopping centers has evolved to become more than just a place for shopping. In the recent past Galleria Duvan in Karlstad has been run by foreign owners who has not been involved or renovated the shopping center. During the spring of 2011 AlbérFastigheter bought Galleria Duvan and they are now renovating and negotiating new deals with the tenants. Our problem has led us to the following question: How can a centrally located shopping center, such as Galleria Duvan, develop a strategy to strengthen their position on the market.
Dexametasons effekt på IL-10 hos häst
Användning av prestationshöjande- eller prestationsåterställande läkemedel har ökat inom många av hästsportens tävlingsdiscipliner. För att motverka detta arbetar anti-doping-laboratorier ständigt med att förfina sina analysmetoder för påvisande av otillåtna substanser. En konsekvens av detta är att även tillåtna läkemedel kan spåras under mycket lång tid efter behandling vilket har lett till ett behov av rapporteringsnivåer för läkemedel som glukokortikoider. Detta för att irrelevanta koncentrationer i plasma och urin med säkerhet kan bedömas ej ha effekt och därför ge ett negativt svar vid dopingkontroll. Ett projekt pågår just nu för att fastställa ett samband mellan plasma- och urinkoncentration med och effekt vilket kommer ligga till grund för ett fastställande av rapporteringsnivåer och adekvata karenstider.
Studiens syfte är att, som en liten del i projektet, undersöka möjligheten att analysera proteinuttrycket av interleukin-10 i plasma hos häst samt att undersöka hur dexametason påverkar interleukin-10 över tid.
Sex varmblodstravare deltog sammanlagt under 2 försök där olika koncentrationer med dexametason alternativt placebo gavs intravenöst över 3 timmar.

The climate at the labour-market in Sweden today means that students who have recently passed their examinations find it quite difficult to find work. The competetiveness calls for a strategy to find advantages in the employment process. The strategy explored in this thesis is called personal branding. We believe that by building a strong personal brand you can increase the possibilities to influence the decisions of those responsible for recruitments in our society. The question we ask ourselves in this essay is how to build a personal brand with the power to give students a competetive advantage in the employment process.

In this thesis, we have analyzed the Swedish debate about whether to impose a national canon, and make it compulsory in school curricula. Cecilia Wikström, a Liberal MP in Sweden, made the suggestion in July 2006, and the focus of our analysis is the subsequent debate during July and August 2006. Our materials are polemical articles from three Swedish newspapers, which we have examined to find the main ideas and arguments behind the various standpoints. Three issues have been our main focus; first, we have analyzed which concepts of culture the various debaters have used, where we have seen a difference between an anthropological and an aesthetical concept, but, surprisingly, found that there isn?t a very strong correlation between an aesthetical concept of culture and being pro-canon, or between an anthropological concept of culture and being anti-canon.

This thesis examines the deregulation reform of the Swedish railroad industry, focusing on passenger transport between 1988 and 2005. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the effects from the deregulation reform on prices, market concentration and to determine whether SJ (the state owned incumbent) has been conducting strategic behaviour in order to prevent new entrants to the market. The chosen method consists of interviews with the MD at SJ between 1988 - 1998 Mr Karl-Erik Strand, the transportation researcher at SSE Mr Gunnar Alexandersson. Statistical sources and companies financial reports have also been used. The results that I have found were besides the fact that the market concentration is still significant high and the profitability among the operators low, is that the prices has increased more than CPI during the period but the competitive tendering has resulted in lower government subsidies after the deregulation.

Studiens syfte är att studera hur ungdomar som genomgått Multisystemisk Terapi, MST, upplever denna behandling. Författarna avser således ge en bild av och få en djupare förståelse av deras tankar kring denna behandlingsform. MST är en öppenvårdsbehandling som vänder sig till antisociala ungdomar och deras familjer. Det har visat sig att institutionsplacering av ungdomar många gånger inte leder till önskvärda resultat. Metoden, som grundar sig på systemteori och socialekologiska teorier, utvecklades som ett alternativ till dessa ofta kostsamma placeringar.
En studie av begreppet attraktiv arbetsgivare inom ett IT-företag
This study was carried out at a company within the computer industry, a sector that is expanding and is facing scarcity of competent personnel. The purpose was to examine factors that are crucial for being an employer of choice. To get a profound picture of the employees' comprehension of their work situation, a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews with ten of the employees were conducted. To examine factors that are important for future employees a survey was created and handed out to fiftysix civil engineering students majoring in computer science. The results from the interviews showed that the organisation's culture was of great value to the employees.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to explain what possibilities the new license between Youtube and Stim can have for Swedish artists and what impact this may have for the Swedish major record labels? competitive advantage. Based on this, the aim is also to describe how artists' position of power against major record labels may change due to the license.Method The essay is based on an inductive approach. The authors have used a qualitative research method to gain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon investigated. Primary sources have been collected using a variety of interviews from different parts of the Swedish music industry.Conclusion The Swedish major labels still hold a strong position today both when it comes to power balance and attractiveness.
