Camp Vamp - Att ljussätta en dansföreställning med skiftande förutsättningar
I work on a lighting design for a dance performance to be on tour. A lighting design adapted for
three different conditions was made:
- One comprehensive where I allow myself a great deal of creative freedom, adapted for the
stages with major technical conditions.
- One smaller version for stages with less equipment and with less time for preparation on
site.
- One design for very simple conditions.
I also examine the specific differences between typical theatrical lighting design and typical dance
lighting design, and the best way to prepare for the hands-on stage design phase..
Synchronous Latency Insensitive Design in FPGA
A design methodology to mitigate timing problems due to long wire delays is proposed. The timing problems are taking care of at architecture level instead of layout level in this design method so that no change is needed when the whole design goes to backend design. Hence design iterations are avoided by using this design methodology. The proposed design method is based on STARI architecture, and a novel initialization mechanism is proposed in this paper. Low frequency global clock is used to synchronize the communication and PLLs are used to provide high frequency working clocks.
Activate Nyhamnen : a design proposal after Kongjian Yu's design approch
This thesis introduces Kongjian Yu?s design approach in terms of industrial heritage conservation in connection to transformation and urban design. The approach is examined respectively on two cases from China and USA. The thesis give a brief introduction to current achievement in conservation research and general profile of industrial conservation practice. Based on case and theory study, Yu?s design approach is carefully applied to an industrial area Nyhamnen in Malmö and a design proposal is produced.

Service Design is a relatively new, unexplored and exciting phenomenon that through an interdisciplinary work methodology designs services. A discussion has been going on for a long time regarding whether there is a difference between products and services. Services are often classified as immaterial, heterogeneous, non-storable and inseparable in relation to products. A question that arises is if something specific characterises the work methodology used regarding service design. The aim with this paper is thus to explain the work methodology when working with service design.

A current issue today is to try to implement creative design as a way to solve wicked problems in scientific contexts such as HCI. Since the problems are wicked, they have no given solution which makes the traditional methods inadequate. In these cases, creative design can be an alternative. Creative design is not used in scientific contexts because it is viewed as something unaccountable.In this essay we argue that creative design not necessarily have to be unaccounted. We discuss various views of creative design and translate theory to a practical context.
Utveckling av Steghållare : För yrkesmän med skåpbil
Uppgiften som detta examensarbete går ut på är att utveckla en ny steghållare som ska ingå i Thules produktserie Professional. Det är önskvärt att kunna lasta stegen bakifrån och möjliggöra lastning från marken även på högre skåpbilar. Steghållaren ska framförallt vara anpassad till yrkesmän, såsom hantverkare, målare, etc. Därför söker Thule en robust, säker och lättmanövrerad steghållare med attraktivt utseende. Steghållaren ska minska den tid det tar att lasta på och av stegen.
Gamers and Game Design: Incorporating Users in the Design Process
This paper deals with the difficulties of applying user-centered design practices as an independent developer, based on the visualization of a game concept in the form of a prototype. The aim is to evaluate the usability of user-centered design practices, specifically in the field of games development. Throughout this paper, I will give an account of the methods used for testing, as well as a review of previous research done in this field of study. Rullstolsanpassat utegym i Karlstad kommun : Ett underlag skapat utifrån ett ergonomiskt perspektiv följande designprocessens grundpelare
Denna rapport omfattar skapandet av en träningsmiljö tänkt att placeras utomhus i Karlstad och är anpassad för rullstolsburna individer. Arbetet har utförts på uppdrag av Karlstad kommun och motsvarar som ett examensarbete för högskoleingenjörsexamen inom Innovationsteknik och Design, vid fakulteten för Hälsa, Natur och Teknikvetenskap. Arbetet har utförts vid Karlstad Universitet under våren 2014.Karlstad kommun har sett ett behov av träningsutrustning i utomhusmiljö tillgängligt för rullstolsburna. På många träningsplatser i dagsläget stängs rullstolsburna ute från träning då det finns få möjligheter att justera den utrustning som erbjuds. Ur ett användarperspektiv anses träningsmöjligheterna vara otillräckliga vilket har legat till grund för detta arbete.Utfrån uppdragsgivarens synpunkt och krav samt genom informationsinsamling, intervjuer och obervationer formulerades en produktspecifikation.
Attityder till design : samt studie- och yrkesvägledare
The background to this study is the government’s investment in design and the increase of design education around the country. As a future design teacher (industrialdesign) at high school/college, it is of great interest for me to look closer at student’s attitude towards design and design educations at high school.Questions that have been investigated are student´s attitude towards design; design as a concept but also as a phenomenon. How does the student counselor inform the students of the differentchoices before choosing high school?Does the students view on design correspond to what the student counselor say?What opinion does the student counselor have to the concept design as well as design in highschool? Is design just a craze or here to stay?To get answers I have made interviews with student counselors at two different schools, I have also been in contact with a student counselor on the internet. Their thoughts will clarify thesituation that the students might be in.
Minimalist design for children?s games
The aim of this report is to see whether the graphic design of a game influences children?s will to play games. I am especially looking at minimalist graphic design and how well it works for a game aimed at children age 7-9. Does the style of the game design have any impact at all concerning the children?s wish to play the game or is the game mechanic all that matters.

Utveckling av en dykväst anpassad till kvinnliga dykare
I denna rapport beskrivs det arbete och de analyser som lett fram till ett designförslag på en dykväst anpassad till en kvinnlig användare. Konceptet har utvecklats på företaget Mares (HTM Sport S.p.A) i Rapallo och ska användas för vidare utveckling och detaljkonstruktion av den dykväst anpassad för kvinnor som företaget planerar att introducera på marknaden 2006. Problematik som kvinnans ergonomi och biometri, trender inom sporten och livsstilstrender generellt har analyserats för att uppnå bästa möjliga resultat. Arbetet har genomförts med hjälp av metoden systematisk problemanalys. Den nya produkten tillfredsställer inte bara den kvinnliga användarens behov av passform före, under och efter dyket, utan är också användaranpassad genom val av material och färger.
Anpassad Patientundervisning
Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att beskriva hur anpassad gruppundervisning bedrivs för patienter med diabetes typ 2. Tio kvalitativa artiklar ligger till grund för resultatet. En av de grundläggande faktorerna är relationen mellan patient och undervisare och att denna uppehålls under längre tid. Närstående behöver också delta i undervisningen för att hjälpa patienten med livsstilsföränd¬ringar. Gruppundervisning är ett utmärkt tillfälle att lära av andras erfarenheter och en kulturanpassning med enkla redskap som matlagning tillsammans, kan hjälpa patienten till bättre egenvård.

Utvärdering av responsiv design : En kvalitativ användarstudie av responsiv webbdesign för utvärdering av Hi-Fi prototyp
In my study, I have chosen to examine how the user interface and content must conform to design guidelines for responsive design makes it suitable for diverse desktop environment and for varied mobile platforms. The purpose of this study is to examine the extent recommended design guidelines based on scientific research has a positive impact on user performance and perception when using this study delivered hi-fi prototype. The goal of this study is to provide a Hi-Fi prototype with high usability that will introduce and inform the public about BrasilCine according specifications. Study findings from user testing and supplementary questionnaires show that the implemented technologies as design guidelines for responsive design and design features have a positive impact on user performance and perception. The study results are therefore relevant for further prototype development..
