The purpose of this thesis has been to explore in what ways Franz Kafka?s ?The Metamorphosis? can be read as a story of gender. By bringing together Judith Butler?s theory of materialization and Lennard J. Davis?s crip theory I have spoken of Dismodernity as the domain of abject bodies that have been repudiated by (post)modern societies as untintelligible and dysfunctional.

Företagskultur ses ganska oproblematiskt som det lim som håller samman företagen men nya studier lyfter fram företagskulturen som mer komplicerad och mer som ett medel att styra personalen. Samtidigt pekar forskningen på att den utveckling som det moderna samhället, och med det arbetet, genomgått skapat en förskjutning av ansvar i många verksamheter där den enskilda individen fått ta mer och större ansvar. Samhällets utveckling har även givit att fler kundstyrda verksamheter skapats där individen lätt hamnar i kläm mellan företag och kund. Genom en kvalitativ undersökning genomfördes en studie bestående av sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med syftet att undersöka hur anställda i kundstyrda verksamheter upplever ansvar i sina verksamheter. Analysarbetet genererade en huvudtolkning bestående av temat Ansvar genom handling som genom bekräftelse blir behjälpligt i individens identitetsskapande på arbetsplatsen baserat på de tre temana det handlande ansvaret, det uttalade ansvaret och det individuella ansvaret vilka belyser individens upplevelse av ansvar på arbetsplatsen..

AbstractThe purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the use of artificial insemination (AI) in sheep and discuss the possibilities for AI in Sweden. Male and female fertility, heat detection, semen handling and insemination techniques in sheep are described. Advantages and disadvantages of AI are discussed. In order to achieve genetic progress it is important with well planned and implemented breeding programs. The Swedish Sheep Recording Scheme and computer software from Elitlamm are the basis for sheep breeding in Sweden.

Djur påverkar människors välbefinnande och hälsa på en mängd olika sätt och använts i många andra länder som en integrerad del av klieneters vård och rehabilitering. Ökade kunskaper om de positiva hälsoeffeketerna har lett till en ökad nyfikenhet bland hälso- och sjukvården även i Sverige och användningen av djur inom vård och rehabilitering har ökat de senaste åren. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva hur djur kan användas på ett målmedvetet sätt som en del av rehabiliteringen. Litteraturstudien bygger på både kvalitativa och kvantiativa artiklar för att skapa en helhetsbild om kunskapsområdet. Artiklarna har analyserats utifrån Graneheim och Lundman (2004) kvalitativa innehållsanalys i syfte att beskriva det mest karaktistiska i data.

The objective of this study was to investigate the attitude towards African swine fever (ASF) primarily among smallholder pig farmers but also among other actors along the pork value chain in Gulu district, Uganda. More specifically, the study aimed to investigate the specific challenges facing both farmers and other members of the pork value chain using participatory epidemiology (PE). ASF is a feared viral disease of pigs associated with high mortality, which is endemic in many parts of Africa. The recent history of Gulu district in Northern Uganda can be described as turbulent and the human population has suffered during decades of war and civil unrest. Pig keeping is considered a potential opportunity for business as well as a way of providing more animal protein in the diet. However, this is threatened by ASF as farmers can lose entire herds due to the disease. This study can confirm some previously known factors and risk activities such as the free range system of pigs and movement of pigs and pork during ongoing outbreaks, which make disease control difficult.

Ca 19 000 barn under 15 år blir varje år polisanmälda för brott. Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att undersöka vad som händer med dessa barn, vilka insatser som görs för dem från olika myndigheters sida. Får de någon reaktion från samhället på sin brottsliga handling? Vilken är bakgrunden till att man valt att införa en straffbarhetsålder på 15 år och finns det något som talar för att den behöver ändras? Innan 15 års ålder har man inte har uppnått tillräcklig mognad för att ha ansvarsförmåga. Därför straffas inte dem under 15 år.

The purpose of the study was to find out whether the interaction between mentally disabled individuals and pet positively affects the individual and gives a feeling of well-being to the extent that this might be implicated in the psychologically disabled people?s everyday life in some form of rehabilitation measure. The study is qualitative and builds on an ethnographic design. Data collection was performed through six observations, six interviews and reflections. Interviews were also conducted with relatives and assistants for greater opportunity for follow-up questions, and descriptions of the situation.

During the last decades the questions about environment and social ethics, so called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), have increased in importance. It is in the business world highly important for the corporations to show the public that the company care about these questions. A common approach nowadays is to outsource productions to other countries resulting in that suppliers have a great part of the work with CSR. CSR as a trend is a rather new phenomenon, and therefore interesting to see how the corporations handle these questions and how the approach looks like. The purpose with this study is to show how corporations which are recommended by CSR organizations for their handling regarding these questions approach CSR and how the work look like in the supply chain.

Detta utvecklingsarbete genomfördes under vår slutpraktik på två olika högstadieskolor i Norrbotten. Syftet med vårt arbete var att se om vi genom samtal med eleverna kunde väcka reflekterande tankar rörande deras beteende mot andra. Vår metod gick ut på att i halv- och helklass samtala om vissa utvalda områden rörande etik och moral. För att se om vi uppnått det syfte vi eftersträvat har vi använt oss av loggböcker, enkät och intervjuer. Resultatet vi fick visade att eleverna upplevde detta utvecklingsarbete som viktigt och att de kunde se vissa positiva förändringar i klassens beteende.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka det lärande som sker i fritidshemmet, hur det sker samt elevernas uppfattningar om skillnaderna kring lärandet i skolan gentemot fritidshemmet. För att få ökad förståelse av lärandet i fritidsverksamheten sökte vi svar på frågorna: 1. Vad uppfattar/upplever eleverna på fritidshemmet att de lär sig under sin vistelse där? 2. Hur uppfattar eleverna att det lärande som sker i fritidshemmet går till? 3.

Bakgrund: Djur har under väldigt många år varit en del av människans vardag från början i form av vakt och jaktdjur. Idag används djuren mer som sällskap och familjemedlemmar. Hundar och människor har genom århundradena tillsammans utvecklat ett samspel som gör att de kan kommunicera. Många äldre personer har idag husdjur som enda sällskap när barnen flyttat ut och make/maka gått bort. När personen måste flytta till ett vårdboende kan de bli tvungna att göra sig av med sitt djur för att många vårdboende idag inte tillåter djur där.

The client, Senselogic, had noticed an increased demand for an e-commerce system integrated into its product, SiteVision, something that did not previously exist. Senselogic wanted to integrate a third-party system to manage e-commerce. The problem was that there were very many e-commerce solutions to choose from. In order to select the best system it was necessary to evaluate the e-commerce systems and compare them to each other. To identify the elements that has to be included in an e-commerce system a study of literature was conducted.

The aim of this study is to describe how nature is portrayed in swedish poet and critic Aase Berg?s two earliest poetry collections, Hos rådjur (1997) and Mörk materia (1999), and how it relates to notions of humanity, culture and civilisation. The concept of ?nature? is problematized in a short survey of how it has been used by and critizised in ecocritical literary theory, which is used as the main theoretical framework for this survey, with an emphasis on selected theoretical concepts by Donna Haraway. As a methodological starting point, ?nature? is tentatively defined as ?that which does not let itself be subsumed under the human, culture or civilisation?, and this definition is contrasted with how the concepts are handled in the texts.The investigation shows that the relationship of nature to the human is a fundamental theme that provides a structure for both poetry collections.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the handling and shelving of graphic novels and adult-comics in Swedish public libraries, in order to find out if this type of literature is prioritized in the same way as other forms of literature. The study was conducted by photographing the Hci/uHci shelves at ten different public libraries to give an objective view of the shelving to later be analysed and compared. Inquiry sheets were sent to the photographed libraries in order to get the librarians view of their own comic book shelves and collections. We found that the state of the comic-shelves differed from library to library according to how interested and committed the librarians were. New research areas in the field of Library and Information Science are discussed and questions are raised about the future of graphic novels and adult-comic-books in libraries, about their place in the libraries and about how librarians and the users knowledge of this media can be improved..
