Detta examensarbete utfördes på Syntronics kontor i Linköping. De hade en idé om att göra en porttelefon med hjälp av ett kretskort som de själva utvecklat, Midrange-plattformen. Detta kretskort är till för att vara flexibelt och kunna användas till olika syften.De förutsättningar jag utgick ifrån var att fortsätta på ett annat projekt som hade undersökt möjligheterna till att koppla in en videokamera till Midrange-plattformen. Jag skulle således fortsätta med samma hårdvara som de valt ut och använt.Min uppgift var att utveckla en Android tablet-app samt ta fram ett protokoll för överföring av bilder/video från Midrange-plattformen till Androidappen.Resultatet blev en Androidapp och ett egendefinierat protokoll för överföring av bilder. Men då problem uppstod med användningen av den kamera som jag fick gjordes istället en simulerad version av Midrange-plattformen med inkopplad kamera..

This thesis investigates how a developer can move a desktop application to the web environment. The investigation also includes finding out what are the limitations of a web application and what is not possible to move to the web from the desktop. The question is whether there is any functionality that is gained or lost in the web application after the move.A survey has been conducted to find out what types of problems occur when moving an application from desktop to the web. The authors of this thesis have developed two prototypes for a company who wants to move a limited part of their current desktop application to the web in the future. The prototypes have been developed in Silverlight and ASP.NET.The survey has revealed that one of the disadvantages of web applications is the difficulty in working with local files and hardware on the computer.

The purpose of this project was to create a system which can handle issues, with other words an issue tracking system. The system must create issues, assign issues to a specific user and list all issues for each user. We where asked to write a webapplication, with similar functionalityas an existing desktop application. The application can todayrecord sounds from a person, mix it together at the optimal place withanother, similar sound and play back the result.The application used mathematical calculation that the developerswhere not familiar with, therefore it was decided to focus on the partsthat involved recording and playing sound, to pave the way for anyfuture implementation.The follwing prototypes where implemneted:1. Read a sound clip from a file.2. Splicing of two sound clips at different points in the clips.3. I dagens samhälle har telefonerna gått ifrån att bara vara ett kommunikationsmedel till så mycket mer. Idag finns miljontals applikationer till telefonerna som gör dom mer lik en nöjesenhet än en telefon. Syftet med projektet har varit att med hjälp av förundersökningar skapa en mobilapplikation till operativsystemet Android. I applikationen är syftet att lägga vikt på användarvänlig design, snabb och effektiv funktionalitet. Målet med projektet är att få kunskap hur syftet ska kunna uppnås.

The aim of this report is to give the reader insight into the development of theweb-based accounting application SuperBooky. Accounting is a complex task thatmany beginner entrepreneurs struggle with. The development of this application wastherefore focused on making accounting as convenient and as easy as possible. Programprototypen använder även en Widget ? en mini applikation på skrivbordet - som är ett snyggt sätt att presentera mätdata.När denna produkt börjar säljas på marknaden kommer den vara klassificerad som en medicinteknisk produkt. Detta innebär att det finns ett speciellt regelverk för leverantören av produkten att följa.Applikationen är enkel att hantera för användarna men det innebär inte att den alltid är lämplig för alla.

According to the study [1] several firefighters are killed in action each year. This happens naturally in various ways. One of the major factors is that firefighters often do not know how the environment looks like, for example that a building in an industrial area contains hazardous gas cylinders. Without a solution, fire-fighters will continue to die in duty. It is therefore important to solve this problem so that we can minimize the risks and save lives.The goal of this project was a control system for pneumatic artificial muscles.

This thesis presents an application that performs positioning of modules automatically based on given data for every module, and the development of it. The basis of the application is from a previous thesis code. On top of that code, more features and error handling has been added, as well as fixes for various bugs. A stress test has been performed and further development possibilities are being presented.The thesis work was carried out at Toyota Material Handling Mjölby (TMH) and was made in parallel with another thesis by Fredrik Holden who was generating data for the application. The thesis has been carried out in cooperation with Master Flow AB, Västervik owned by the EWEBE Group. The company produces and sells hot runner systems that are tailor made for the customers.The problem that MasterFlow AB has encountered is in the construction of complex hot runner systems in SolidWorks. With several different lengths, fronts and endcaps that builds the nozzles of the hot runner systems, is affecting the problems for MasterFlow AB. The purpose of this work is to automate the design of hot runner systems so it does not overload the CAD-system SolidWorks.To gain an understanding of the problem, there have been several studies and observations at the company, where the focus has been on how the work is done with the design of hot runner systems. By using help from the corporate management, enough information has been collected to find a solution to these problems.The implementation of design automation has been based on a flowchart that was created.

Examensarbetet har genomförts i samarbete med innovationsföretaget ProboNova Medical Innovations AB. ProboNova jobbar främst med konceptframtagning av medicintekniska produkter. ProboNova tar sedan en Provisional Patent Application på konceptet och licenserar ut det till ett större företag. Genom att licensera ut koncepten slipper de kostnaderna för kliniska tester bland annat. Examensarbetet grundades i att ProboNova ville ha hjälp med att ta fram ett koncept på en ny sårhake. Projektet har genomsyrats av designprocessen där förstudie och idégenerering har varit de två dominerande delarna. I slutet av projektet presenterades ett koncept som uppfyllde alla krav och detta koncept togs det senare en Provisional Patent Application på. Tanken är att examensarbetet ska ge läsaren en bättre förståelse för hur man kan jobba med designprocessen och lära sig fördelarna med att välja en Provisional Patent Application istället för en Nonprovisional ansökan..

I detta projekt har mjukvara till en dator utvecklats, denna mjukvara är en prototyp för hur funktionaliteten i en framtida handhållen enhet för kommunikation mot LoggerReadOut-programmet bör se ut, samt eftersträvas vid vidareutveckling. Under projektets gång har dels utveckling av en Android applikation i programmeringsspråket Java och utvecklingsmiljön Eclipse genomförts. Programmeringen av applikationen för Android har kommit att revideras till utveckling av mjukvara i programmeringsspråket Python. Den mjukvara som utvecklas i Python utvecklas för att verka som en prototyp på funktionalitet bör se ut i en applikation för Android som detta projekt kan stå som bas för.Det program som skapats, smartDustHandheldUnit, hanterar kommunikationen med LoggerReadOut-programmet och mellan dessa två program kan auktoriserad anslutning etableras, data och information kan hämtas samt så kan anslutningen som skapats stängas ned. Utöver detta hanterar programmet upp- samt nedladdning till och från två .php-sidor anpassade för ändamålet.
