The aim of this study was to investigate how staff members at residential homes experience encountering sexuality among the youths. The study was conducted by using qualitative interviews with four staff members at four different residential homes. The interviews have been analyzed by using content analysis and have been looked at through a perspective of experience, as described by Richard Stevens, and by applying developmental psychology. The results show that, although sexuality is experienced as being distinctly present and being a topic of major concern, the staff members have given sex-education as a means by which to raise their own competence little or no thought. One way to interpret this is that sexuality and sex-education haven?t been given a sufficient space in the work with the youths.

Purpose: Social media is a global phenomenon that has developed from an opportunity of contact between people, into a platform for contact between organizations and people. This essay aims to investigate the public relation strategies of one organization on a popular social network.The main question that this study aims to answer is how the travel agency Ving chooses to create and preserve relationships to the public on Facebook in order to maintain a good reputation. Asub-question explores whether any patterns exist in Ving?s approach of interaction with its stakeholders.Method/Material: This study consists of a quantitative content analysis in which the interaction between the organization and the audience has been studied. Posts published by the public as well as replications from Ving have been categorized and then analyzed using two analytical models.

The thesis presents an optimally designed kinematic structure for a new 6-DOF haptic devicebased on TAU configuration. The configuration of the TAU-2 proposed by Suleman Khan andKjell Andersson [1] was modified and its mobility was verified by using Grübler criterion tohave a 6 DOF. Analytical kinematic models for the inverse and forward kinematics weredeveloped for the haptic TAU configuration to determine a set of optimal design parameters.Kinematic performance indices such as volume of the workspace, kinematic isotropy and payload index, were defined based on the singular values of the Jacobian matrix. The Jacobianmatrix was scaled to homogenize the physical units. The Jacobian matrix dependent on theposition and orientation of the end-effector gives local isotropy and pay load index, so globaldesign indices were defined, which represent the performance of the mechanism in the wholeworkspace.

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate the design of the reference service and its development that Internet has caused in college/university libraries when it comes to the service provided to the user. I want to examine the quality of this development from the view of the librarians, and also investigate their attitude and how they deal with this development.The following questions were asked:? How has Internet changed the reference service at college/university libraries?? How do the librarians look upon the possible change of quality in the reference service when the Internet is involved?? What attitude do the librarians hold toward this development where Internet is used in the reference service and how do they deal with it?The method used was qualitative interviews. A total of six librarians from Blekinge tekniska högskola, Halmstad högskola, Lunds universitet and Växjö universitet have been interviewed.The theories and models used were ?media richness?, a quality framework including ?quality aspects of a service?, and social psychology and its ?reasons for a positive/negative attitude on an organisations change?.The result shows that Internet has brought more sources of information and additional ways to contact the library.

The purpose of this study is to explain how shame can be experienced by women with the stigmatizing illness of alcoholism. Another aim is to illustrate how this shame can be affected in social interaction with others and by other circumstances. The following questions will be highlighted in this essay: How can shame be experienced by female alcoholics? What can affect shame in interaction with other people, from the view of female alcoholics? What other circumstances can affect the shame, from the view of female alcoholics?This study features interviews with women who have successfully gone through the process of rehabilitation from the illness of alcoholism, have a long going and stable sobriety and arecurrently part of the work force. The study also features interviews with therapists specializing in the field of addiction recovery and have considerable experience in their fieldof working with women suffering from alcoholism.The subject matters shame and stigma form the theoretical/analytical tools for this research.

Kreativiteten är mångfacetterad och intensivt studerad, med processerna involverade i kreativ problemlösning traditionellt undersökta inom kognitionen. Perfektionismen är ett personlighetsdrag som påverkar alla områden i individernas liv. Ändå är perfektionismens påverkan över kreativ problemlösning otillräckligt utforskat. Därför var syftet med föreliggande studie att undersöka perfektionismens effekter över kreativ problemlösning samt att undersöka hur perfektionism tillsammans med känslor påverkar förmågan att lösa kreativa problem. Genom en webbaserad enkät samlades data in från 96 deltagare genom självskattningsinstrument för perfektionism och för känslotillstånd, ett test för kognitiv reflektion och ett insiktsproblem där svarstiderna registrerades.

Syftet med undersökningen var att se om det fanns någon skillnad i personlighet mellan beroende människor och icke-beroende människor. Med ?beroende människor? menas människor som är beroende av alkohol, narkotika eller andra kemiska substanser, eller människor som är beroende av aktiviteter, som exempelvis spel. Studien bygger på att människan, i enlighet med trait-biologiska perspektivet, har vissa fundamentala personlighetsegenskaper som är biologiskt grundade och som påverkar människans beteende och därmed hans/hennes sätt att leva. Tanken bakom studien var att vissa personlighetsdrag kan inverka när det gäller benägenheten att utveckla ett missbruk.

Studien syftade till att undersöka hur gravida förstagångsföräldrar i tredje trimestern upplever sin graviditet och det kommande föräldraskapet, utifrån kvinnan och mannens perspektiv. Studien hade ett fenomenologiskt förhållningssätt och ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Analysunderlaget utgjordes av 14 intervjuer med blivande föräldrar och barnmorskor. This report deals with activities that from a CSR perspective are considered to create a shared value for a medium-sized construction company in Sweden. The CSR definition used in the report is the European Commission?s since it reflects the valuecreating aspects of CSR, in contrast to the traditional philanthropic aspect of CSR.Companies in the building construction industry have difficulties identifying activities that create value in society and in the company. The aim with the project is to, from a CSR perspective, identify and evaluate value creating activities in a building construction company. The activities will be evaluated with respect to competitiveness and how they can be implemented into an organization.

The crisis on Wall Street. This essay is a comparative study of how two business newspapers report on the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers Holdings in September 2008. Seven articles from the Swedish European financial newspaper Affärsvärlden (Business World) and five articles from the Chinese-Asian news agency XINHUA FINANCE are examined. The aim is to analyze, understand and evaluate from a rhetorical perspective. My thesis is that rhetors storytelling can tell us more about how we cope with crisis in the global economic discourse. The texts can portray man as a narrative creature when identification as a rational actor is not enough. The analytical methods used are linguistic analysis with an emphasis on metaphor analysis, narrative analysis based on pentad - Critical dramatism, and discourse analysis with doxological outlook. The results show that both newspapers seek to defend the global economic discourse, but they do so in different ways. Affärsvärlden advocates calmness and conveys a cautious attitude. The heart of the crisis, as well as its solution, is on Wall Street. XINHUA advocates control and expresses confidence in authorities and the system. Asia is presented as Wall Street's savior..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att bidra med en utökad kunskap kring generation Y, som definieras som bestående av 80- och 90-talister, och deras arbetsvärderingar. Genom att undersöka vilka arbetsvärderingar svenska 80- och 90-talister besitter diskuteras begreppet generation Y och om dessa båda grupper kan betraktas som enhetliga gällande arbetsvärderingar. En enkätundersökning genomfördes bland svenska högskolestudenter. Utifrån resultatet av denna samt ett teoretiskt underlag har vi gett förklaringar till 90-talisternas syn på arbetsvärderingar. Denna syn har sedan jämförts med enkätresultatet med avseende på 80-talister för att därefter jämföras med tidigare kunskap om 80-talisternas arbetsvärderingar. Slutligen har innebörden av jämförelsen diskuterats med avseende på generationsbegreppet utifrån tidigare forskning. Efter genomförd studie kan vi konstatera att det är de inre arbetsvärderingarna som värderas högst av generation Y, följt av de yttre och de frihetsrelaterade.

This paper presents an investigation into the relationship between inmates and staff in a high security prison in Sweden. The primary objectives are to investigate this relationship from an inmate perspective and to identify key factors that may promote or hinder rehabilitative interaction with staff. Empirical data utilized in this study consist of semi-structured interviews carried out by the authors with nine inmates currently in custody of the treatment facility within the prison and six inmates housed within the study facility. This data collection method is an extension of grounded theory and four key themes were generated from the data analysis. The first of these examines the effect of rule enforcement on prison atmosphere and subsequent staff/inmate relations.

The persecution of the Rohingya Muslim minority population in southwestern Burma has come to the fore in recent years. The aim of this study is to first analyse the degree and respects of biopolitical control in the case of political oppression. Secondly, the aim is to compare the similarities and differences when it comes to the causes, mechanisms and expressions of the two theoretical starting points in the case.Giorgio Agamben´s biopolitical theory, which tries to reconnect state control over life and death with modernity, forms the basis of the analysis. Will Kymlicka´s liberal theory on minority rights serves as a theoretical comparison tool. Methodological starting points to the specific bilateral purpose will be both of the textual and discursive analytical tradition.
