Denna rapport syftar till att utforska och visa pÄ möjligheten till ansiktsigenkÀnning vilket görs lÀttillgÀngligt för allmÀnheten genom Microsoft Kinect for XBOX360 och eventuella framtida liknande lösningar med lÄgupplösta 3D-sensorer. Det finns mÄnga komplicerande faktorer inom ansiktsigenkÀnning och dÀribland ansiktsrotation. Beroendet pÄ ansiktets horisontella vinklar i förhÄllande till Kinectenheten undersöks för 5 testsubjekt genom anvÀndandet av en 3D-baserad matchningsalgoritm.Detta sker med en metod baserad pÄ Microsoft Kinect Face Tracking SDK och de ansiktsmodeller i 3D denna levererar. Undersökningens resultat Àr i linje med ansiktsigenkÀnningens problematik. Ett bÀttre resultat fÄs för sant positiva matchningar mellan frontala subjekt jÀmfört med horisontellt roterade ansikten.

The Open Access (OA) movement came to be as a reaction against the enclosure of information resources, facilitated by new distribution technologies. The purpose of the OA movement is to make research results freely available. The aim of this masterÂŽs thesis is to increase the understanding of how libraries outside of the academic sphere and within research institutes relates to OA. As a theoretical framework I created two different ideologies, the OA ideology and the nonsharing ideology. I also conducted six interviews with librarians.

When contemplating entering an alliance the rationale behind the decision should differdepending on the size of the companies involved as well as on other important factors. The importantfactors influencing the decision are related to the resource pooling potential of the alliance,the power structure along with the business network the companies are a part of. Theanalysis has shown proof of a need for cooperation if one wish to succeed in the telecommunicationindustry and it has also determined which resources that are deemed to be most important toget in touch with, for our study object, to facilitate its access to the market. Those resources aredefined as a direct channel to the customer, funds/capital and the access to relevant businessnetworks. To get in touch with these lacking resources, three alternative approaches has beenproposed; all of them involving a strategic alliance decision.

Scania Top Team is a competition where the best mechanics in the world are competing against each other. In 2011, the world final was recorded and this material is now used to see which problem solving strategies these top of the line teams are using to solve the realistic problems assembled in front of them. To help them, the mechanics are allowed to use two of Scanias IT-systems: Scania Multi and Scania Diagnose and Programmer 3. This report consists of two parts. The first part is the development of a method to analyze the recorded material.

I dagens samhÀlle Àr majoriteten av vÄra tillgÄngar digitaliserade och bevarade i olika typer av informationssystem. Genom Access Control (sv. behörighetsstyrning) sÀkerstÀlls att anvÀndare fÄr korrekt Ätkomst till dessa tillgÄngar. I takt med att organisationer genererar allt mer affÀrskritisk data i sina informationssystem har dock hanteringen av anvÀndare och behörigheter komplicerats. En modern genre inom begreppet informationssystem som lÀnge visat ökad tillvÀxt Àr Business Intelligence (BI).

Stress pÄ arbetsplatsen relaterat till mÄnga inkommande och utgÄende kommunikationskanaler Àr ett reellt problem. Applikationer som samlar alla kanaler i samma verktyg kan hjÀlpa till pÄ det hÀr omrÄdet. För att förenkla vid utveckling av en sÄdan applikation kan ett modulÀrt system skapas, dÀr varje modul ser liknande ut och enkelt kan kopplas in i en huvudapplikation. Den hÀr studien undersöker de problem som kan uppstÄ nÀr flera tjÀnster ska integreras, mer specifikt genom att titta pÄ hur en befintlig modul för e-post via Google Apps kan porteras för att stödja e-post via Microsoft Office 365. Arbetet har skett enligt metoder för testdriven portering och varje steg i porteringen har dokumenterats noggrant.

Syftet Àr att undersöka hur nÄgra ungdomar resonerar nÀr de anvÀnder kartor som analysverktyg, elevers förtrogenhet med kartor samt deras attityder till kartor och geografiÀmnet. Jag har genom frÀmst samtalsintervjuer, men Àven genom observationer, studerat hur nÄgra elever i nionde skolÄret i par resonerar och diskuterar geografiska frÄgor med hjÀlp av kartor. Undersökningen visar att eleverna har en relativt god förmÄga att anvÀnda kartor för analys. Emellertid pÄvisar eleverna inte nÄgot större intresse för kartor som analysverktyg. IstÀllet föredrar eleverna i stor utstrÀckning att resonera utifrÄn sina förkunskaper och uppfattningar.

The purpose of the following essay has been to identify four men?s momentums of their volunteer access to treatment for their disruptive gender-based violence. The questions that have been asked in the entrance of this field have been divided into the following questions: (i) is it possible to identify the processes of change that leads to turning points into the interviewed men's treatment of violence, (ii) how do the interviewed men, themselves, reflect on their turning points into treatment, and (iii) are there other, implicit, interpretations and analyzes of men's access into treatment that I can discern in their stories? As a point of departure of the analysis one theoretical perspective has been used to explain and analyze men?s access to treatment, the sociological life course perspective, focusing on the concept of turning points.The method to approach this field has been qualitative interviews with a life story oriented approach which means that, focus has been to let the four interviewed men describe their lives from early childhood to their adulthood and from their histories identify contingent processes to their access of treatment. The study resulted in a division of two parts, one part consisting the processes that have been identified by the men?s stories of present tense of violent outbursts.

Syftet med vÄr uppsats var att visa förÀldrabegreppets mÄngfacettering och vi exemplifierade förÀldraskapet genom att studera lesbiska förÀldrar som fÄtt barn genom insemination. För att uppnÄ syftet gjordes bÄde litteraturstudier och kvalitativa respondentintervjuer. Studien hade ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv, rÀttsligt baserade perspektiv och ett visst barnperspektiv som teoretiska utgÄngspunkter. Dessa nyttjades Àven som analysverktyg och för att utforska motsÀgelserna i vÄrt material anvÀndes ett dialektiskt analysverktyg. Materialet analyserades enligt en ad-hoc metod.

Barren rearing environment and early weaning of piglets can lead to a high level of distress, behavioural disturbances and reduction in weight gain. The main aim of this thesis was to study the effects of potential enrichment objects on piglet?s behaviour and weight gain during the pre- and post-weaning period. The second aim was to examine what type of object stimulated the highest frequency of interaction. The study was carried out at the Swedish Livestock Research Centre in Lövsta where a batch of litters from 10 first-parity Yorkshire sows were used.

Almost all Swedes today have access to the Internet, if not through the home then via the library or work. Despite this, around 20% of the population stand outside the information society in that they lack in knowledge, assistive usability tools or positive attitude towards technology and its influence on society. The main factors influencing the digital divide in today's society are age, disability and education, while the main reason for staying outside seems to be disinterest.The question about digital inclusion is important as we now stand on the breaking-point between a society where the industry has had a prominent position for private as well as national economy and a digital society where access to the Internet is no longer about prestige, but where significant differences between users' knowledge levels can create a power gap. Gaps in access and use not only reflects already existing socio-economic conditions, but can also maintain and enhance these.It is crucial for the future expansion of Internet usage how today's non-users feel about becoming users. To understand what underlies the motivations not to use computers is one of the keys to get non-users to embrace becoming users.

I detta examensarbete har fyra lÀroböcker i fysik för gymnasieskolan analyserats för att se hur dessa överensstÀmmer med Àmnesplanen i fysik och lÀroplanen för gymnasieskolan. Analysen har gjorts utifrÄn ett eget utvecklat analysverktyg som utgÄtt ifrÄn det centrala innehÄllet i Àmnesplanen, men Àven de kunskaper och förmÄgor i lÀroplanen som anses kunna visualiseras i en lÀrobok. Som ett komplement till analysen av lÀroböckerna intervjuades Àven tvÄ lÀroboksförfattare för att ge en inblick i hur styrande Àmnesplanen och lÀroplanen Àr vid utvecklandet av en lÀrobok. Analysen tillsammans med intervjuerna visar pÄ att Àmnesplanen och det centrala innehÄllet Àr starkt styrande över innehÄllet i lÀroböckerna. DÀremot förbises lÀroplanens kunskaper och förmÄgor, som analysen fokuserat pÄ, i större utstrÀckning dÄ lÀroboksförfattarna inte anser att dessa lÀmpar sig för en lÀrobok..

The report analyses if some common problems can be avoided by using modern technology. As a reference system ?Fartygsrapporteringssystemet? is used. It is an n-tier web application built with modern technology at time, 2003-2004. The aim is to examine whether ASP.Net MVC, Windows Communication Foundation, Workflow Foundation and SQL Server 2005 Service Broker can be used to create an n-tier web application which also communicate with other systems and facilitate automated testing.
