An analysis of a specific application of anaerobic wastewater treatment at a pulp and board mill, Stora Enso Skoghall, was carried out. A literature study was done and effluent wastewater from CTMP pulp production was analyzed. The analysis consisted of a broad constituent analysis and an anaerobic treatment trial. Results from these test where used to calculate the treatment effectiveness and resulting energy potential at the mill.The literature study and constituent analysis showed that toxicity of the water to be treated, due to wood extractives and sulphur content, was of concern. Detoxification chemicals targeting these constituents where used in the anaerobic treatment trial.

This bachelor?s thesis aims to examine how the ?New Pact on Migration and Asylum? construct the discourse on ?sustainable migration? and ?efficiency? in the European Union. The new jurisprudence concerning migration and asylum in the European Union seeks to establish a more ?fair, efficient and sustainable migration and asylum system?. To analyze the discourses, a critical discourse analysis is applied to the former asylum regulation, Dublin regulation III, a revised and withdrawn proposal, Dublin regulation IV, and future legislation.

För att utvärdera en metod för tillämpad kognitiv uppgiftsanalys, ACTA (Applied Cognitive Task Analysis), har anställda på Saab AB genomfört ACTA genom att intervjua flygförare. ACTA består av tre intervjutekniker och skapades av Klein Associates Inc. ACTA är en metod som kan användas i tillämpade sammanhang för att ta fram aspekter av experters beslutsfattande. Denna rapport redovisar en utvärdering av CDT (Cognitive Demands Table), vilket är tabeller över kognitiva krav sammanställda av datamängden insamlad i intervjuerna. Utvärderingens syfte var att avgöra huruvida praktiker kan sammanställa en CDT med högt innehåll av kognitiva poster.

I denna rapport kommer arbetet med att ställa upp en RELAP5-modell för analyser av kylmedelsförluster att presenteras. Olika tillvägagångssätt och filosofier kommer också att behandlas. Arbetet har koncentrerats mot Forsmark 1 och 2 varför dessa två kommer att diskuteras mer ingående. Driften behandlas i korta ordalag medan säkerhetssystemen och dess funktion beskrivs mer utförligt. Modellen som har ställts upp ska användas för att generera underlag för probobalistisk säkerhetsanalys och har validerats mot deterministiska analyser.

Syftet med studien har varit att med hjälp av diskursanalys studera och kritiskt granska Skolverkets kartläggning och analys av insatser för att få in fler män i förskolan. I den offentliga debatten råder tvetydiga argument i frågan om mäns betydelse för förskolan och dess möjlighet till att öka jämställdheten på lång sikt. Framställningen av denna studie skulle man kunna tänka sig bygga på ett genusperspektiv där jämställdhetsfrågan står i centrum. Då män har huvudrollen i Skolverkets rapport valde jag att fördjupa mig i maskulinitetsforskningen som pekar ut begränsningar som könsrolls- och genusteorierna utgör. Mot denna bakgrundsbeskrivning ansåg jag att en kvalitativ diskursanalys blev ett givet teoretiskt angreppssätt då den oftast går i linje med det poststrukturalistiska perspektivet.

This paper examines the function of narrative discourse in television talk shows. Basing our analysis on five episodes of the Swedish talk show Skavlan, we illustrate how narratives are initiated and elaborated by the participants of the show. The analysis shows that the institutional roles are challanged and that the roles vary between the host ant the guests. The analysis also shows that when guests introduce and elaborate stories they use the same discursive actions and resources as the host. When participants enter an actvie role in their storytelling the hos takes a more restrained role in which he lets the the conversation evolve spontaneously.

Biometri är en relativt ny säkerhetsmetod för datorsystem. Biometri används ofta för att ersätta eller kombineras med användarnamn och lösenord. Detta görs genom att mäta ett fysiologiskt attribut eller beteendeattribut hos användaren. Keystroke dynamics är en biometrisk metod vilken registrerar användarens sätt att skriva på tangentbordet. En stor mängd försök med keystroke dynamics har gjorts i tidigare arbeten.

The purpose of this study is to perform both a quantitative and language philosophical analysis of the folksono-my and the tags in the Stockholm public library catalogue, which together with the Umeå university folksonomy, and the folksonomy of the Norrköping public library are the only library folksonomies in Sweden.The purpose of the first part of the study is to perform an analysis of the linguistical structure of the tags in the folksonomy. To do this a quantitative analysis has been conducted to grammatically categorize and evaluate tags using a method based on Louise Spiteri?s article ?The structure and form of folksonomy tags: the road to the public library catalogue? and the SAO guidelines. This part of the analysis aims to answer questions like: what characteristics do the tags in the folksonomy have and in what ways do they separate themselves from subject headings in a controlled vocabulary? Tags were here categorized according to grammatical properties like parts of speech and their social and private characteristics.

Denna rapport redogör för en utvärdering av praktisk tillämpning av ACTA (Applied Cognitive Task Analysis). Studien har genomförts vid Saab AB (publ) i Linköping. ACTA består av tre intervjutekniker och resulterar i en tabell över kognitiva krav. Metoden är speciellt utvecklad för att kunna användas av praktiker, utan kunskap om kognitiv psykologi eller human factors. Metoden är tänkt att utgöra ett verktyg med vars hjälp praktiker kan ta fram de expertkunskaper mycket erfarna personer besitter, för att sedan använda informationen som underlag för exempelvis systemdesign.

We have during these three past years been getting formal knowledge in business economics and believe that, now in the end of our education, we are qualified to the demands that are put on the labour market. The purpose of this report has been to write about, such an extensive subject area as public purchase though we feel the education is lacking this area and have therefore decided to do our dissertation in public purchase.Due to lack of time we have not been able to investigate in the extent we wanted, we had to delimit in sort of municipality and purchase product. We have been investigating in how the process of purchase of aid in Malmö municipality approaches because we wanted to enter deeply into those studies.This rapport represents the process of public purchases of aid from both the suppliers point of view as well as the purchase units. All the steps in the process are presented in our investigation.By writing this rapport we have presented the division of responsibility of aid, it is divided between Region Skåne and the municipality in Skåne. In Malmö the responsibility is divided between two activities, one of them is Hjälpmedelcentrum who is responsible of the municipality part and the other is Hjälpmedel Malmö who.s responsible of the regional part.We have decided to investigate only on the municipality part of the responsibility division and have gradually found out that they in Hjälpmedelcentrum reuse their aids after them being returned from the needed ones in the municipality or even after that the need has stopped, the unit can by reuse save on new purchases.In the end of writing this rapport we noticed that owners of small businesses have a difficult time of getting in the market of public purchase.

This is a study of the phenomenon enterprise education in a Swedish school. Enterprise education is a rather new concept in Swedish schools, and it has yet to be clearly defined and sufficiently studied. In order to investigate the various aspects of the education properly an analysis of the language used by its proponents needs to be performed. The authors have used discourse analysis from a perspective provided by Laclau and Mouffe. This is for the purpose of determining how the phenomenon is expressed by four teachers in the school mentioned previously.

This bachelor thesis is a study in the analysis of paintings with focus on the technical exami-nation within the framework of ATSR. ATSR is a methodology based on an interdisciplinary study with the aim of putting the object in its context.The study is based on questions concerning which information the object can give, how we access this information and how it can be put in a larger context. My thesis contains three major parts. First a short overview of methods of analysis used in this form of investigation is presented. This is followed by two case studies which exemplify the technical investigation.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) proposes vibration standards for the evaluation for machine damage due to vibration in rotational machines, where some vibration parameters are given to measure the vibrationgrade. This work evaluates the relevance of the vibration standards in hydro plants that are proposed by the ISO, and also investigates if there are methods used in other countries could have greater importance. Through statistical analysis of collected data we got a better understanding of relation among different vibration parameters, and also the importance of correct choice of the parameters for the evaluation of vibration. We have found that the vibration standards available today in hydro plants are not reliable for the judgment of vibration?s grade.

Syftet med denna rapport är att belysa innehållet i nuvarande akutsjukvårdsväska i förhållande till de situationer som polisen ställs inför samt presentera ett förslag på en akutsjukvårdsväska som möter kraven på användbarhet för polispersonal i alla tillämpliga funktioner. De datainsamlingsverktyg som är tänkbara för att undersöka den problemformulering som vi kommit fram är observation på plats, intervjuer och litteraturstudie. För att ta reda på om polisens sjukvårdsväska är adekvat för uppgiften den ska lösa. Då det gäller den deduktiva biten (sekundärdata) har vi använt oss av litteraturstudier i form av böcker och kompendier. Vi har också dragit nytta av vår utbildning som vi fått på Polis- programmet i Umeå.

Vellinge is one of few municipalities in Sweden that refuses to accept refugees. The subject of this thesis is to find out how the local politicians in Vellinge make their considerations when they decide not to welcome refugees. The analysis uses the representation theory as a starting point. The two ideals of the representative role, either as a bound mandate or as a free independent role, is the base of the analysis. Vellinge is in the analysis compared to Lomma, a very similar municipality in southern Sweden that for a long time alsohas refused to accept refugees, however suddenly in 2007 decided to change their mind.
