To succeed, and make money at your animal production you need to feed your animals with high quality fodder. Other condition to succeed is that you keep your production costs at a minimum. To be able to produce baled silage at a low cost it?s very important that the bales have a high density. Density is measured in kg dry matter (DM) per cubic meter. The purpose with this report was to learn more about making silage in round bales and to how much the bale density varies between different brands of round balers.

The aim of this paper is to try to explain how specific, foreign policy decisions are made, and why one state decides to use violence against another state. A qualitative method is used, and text and documents are analysed. The two theoretical points of departure are central within foreign policy analysis: realism´s theories on external threats and constructivism´s theories on ideas´ policy influence. The empirical case chosen is the US decision to use military violence against Iraq. The paper investigates whether the real threat from Saddam Hussein´s Iraq was the cause of the American military attacks, or whether the ideas of leading politicians in the USA were decisive for the decision to invade the country.

Modern democracies rest on a foundation of values essential to their prosperity. Two of those values are freedom of speech and political equality. To many, these values appear to coexist effortlessly. However, what this thesis aims to expose are some of the problems that quickly arise when attempts to interpret the values fail.The thesis investigates a specific US Supreme Court ruling called Citizens United. The ruling enabled corporations and unions to use their own treasuries for unlimited independent political expenditures.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka huruvida svensk press behöver tydligare riktlinjer för hur klander från Pressens opinionsnämnd, PON, ska publiceras, både i papperstidningar och på nätet. Syftet innefattar också att försöka definiera den mest lämpade utformningen för lättillgängliga och etiskt korrekta publiceringar av nämndens uttalanden. Kvalitativa professionsintervjuer med utgivare, medieforskare samt Allmänhetens pressombudsman, PO, analyseras utifrån teorier om pressetisk självsanering och begreppet media accountability. Resultatet visar att PON:s uttalanden är alldeles för långa och otympligt utformade för att tydliga publiceringar ska vara möjliga. Nämndens riktlinjer är förlegade och saknar förankring i det rådande medieklimatet.

This masters thesis concerns three different types of cataloguing within three different memory institutions museums, archives and libraries. The focus lies on the cataloguing elements which are compared in order to illuminate similarities and differences. The Regional Archive and The National Museum of World Cultures - both in Gothenburg - were chosen and compared to KRS, the Swedish counterpart to the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, AACR2, 2: nd ed. The purpose of this comparison is partly to display the elements in order to make students disciplines, but also the staff within archives, libraries and museums to become conscious of each others cataloguing methods in regard to future cooperations within the memory institutions and to see if it is possible to create common cataloguing rules for archives, libraries and museums. Uppsatsens syfte är att granska sexton recensioner publicerade i svensk respektive amerikansk press gällande filmen Den Gröna Cykeln (Haifaa Al-Mansour, 2012). Undersökningen grundar i kritikernas syn på genus och jämställdhet samt kulturell och nationell identitet som filmen berör. Recensionerna analyseras och jämförs för att hitta skillnader och likheter i den svenska respektive amerikanska receptionen. Analysen visar att skillnaden mellan de två nationernas reception är uppdelade mellan de två fokusområdena, där de amerikanska kritikerna fokuserar på kulturell och nationell identitet och jämför filmens skildring av det saudiarabiska samhället med den amerikanska kulturen. The purpose of this study is to examine which factors played an important role in the food price crisis of 2007-2008. Theories used are Microeconomic theory, explaining changes in supply and demand, and Macroeconomic theory, explaining the impact of changes in exchange rate on prices. A theory regarding speculation is also used to explain the impact of speculative activities effects on price. The method used is multiple regression analysis in order to determine the effects which ethanol production, oil price and dollar exchange rate had on the surge in the price of corn, rice and wheat.The data used is in monthly observations during the period 2005-2008. However, other factors are taken into consideration during the study, such as production quantity, stock size, economic growth, speculative activity and population growth.

I uppsatsen undersöks förutsättningar och möjligheter för att genom Öresund Networks medlemsnätverk kommunicera varumärket Öresund till externa målgrupper. Nätverksmedlemmars uppfattningar och behov analyseras utifrån varumärkes- och nätverksteori. Det empiriska material som legat till grund för analysen har samlats in med kvalitativa intervjuer.Resultaten visar att varumärket har en positiv image hos nätverksmedlemmarna och att det finns goda förutsättningar för att kommunicera varumärket genom nätverket. Nätverket utnyttjas dock inte till sin fulla potential och bör anpassas efter nätverksmedlemmarnas behov. Engagemanget för varumärket måste också höjas för att skapa ett starkt varumärke vilket är en förutsättning för att nätverksmedlemmarna ska kommunicera varumärket.

The aim of this paper is two-fold. Firstly, it is the production of a historical and chronological narrative describing the development of the Swedish Red Cross Hospital in Pusan during the years 1950-58. Secondly, it is the investigation of the objectives and aspirations of the organisations and institutions involved and how they affected how the hospital developed during the wartime years and up until the inauguration of the Scandinavian educational hospital, the National Medical Centre, in Seoul. Shortly after the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950 Sweden, a neutral nation, offered to send a contingent for the establishment of a 200 bed mobile field hospital which was to be subjected to the command of the Eighth US Army in Korea. In the end a larger semimobile evacuation hospital was set up in Pusan where both UN soldiers and PoWs were treated, and it came to be known as the Swedish Red Cross Hospital. The decrease in and finally the cessation of hostilities in 1953 opened up for treatment of Korean civilian patients and such work was conducted not only at the Swedish hospital but all over Pusan, though initially it was not formally sanctioned by American and UN authorities.
