The thesis treats how the German public libraries originated and how they were affected by the Nazi era. It deals with how the library system began to cover the whole nation, and describes the struggle between public libraries and commercial and religious ditto. It also treats the weedings out and what happened to the staff and the stocks between 1933 and 1945.Furthermore it gives a picture of what books one could find in a German public library,and how these volumes were catalogued and classified. Moreover it describes how thelibraries managed during the Second World War, and ends by giving some topics fordiscussion and asks questions that additional research might be able to answer..

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva ambulanssjuksköterskans upplevelser av hot och våld inom prehospital akutsjukvård, samt se vilka konsekvenser detta ledde till.Metod: 67 enkäter delades ut på ambulansstationer i Uppsala län. Av 67 tillfrågade var det 34 ambulanssjuksköterskor som svarade på enkäten. Insamlingen av data genomfördes med hjälp av enkäter som bestod av sex öppna frågor som sedan analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Resultatet som baseras på ambulanssjuksköterskornas svar visade att 97 % av respondenterna hade blivit utsatta för verbala hot och att mer än varannan utsatts för fysiskt våld på något arbetspass. Detta ledde till olika upplevelser hos ambulanssjuksköterskorna. Konsekvenserna upplevdes som större vid verbala hot än fysiskt våld.

Dagens och framtidens avancerade vård flyttas alltmer ut i patientens hem. Utskrivning från den slutna vården sker i allt snabbare takt, större krav ställs på hemsjukvården. Överlämning och rapportering av patienten mellan olika funktioner och personal skall ske så att patientens omvårdnadsbehov tillgodoses på ett tillfredsställande sätt. Studiens syfte var att beskriva överlämnande och rapportering i patientens hem från distriktssköterska till ambulanspersonal. Postenkät, med slutna frågor av Likert typ och med möjlighet att motivera svaren, har använts i studien.

Abstrakt Bakgrund: Dagligen utsätts ambulanspersonalen för situationer som mer eller mindre uppfattas psykiskt påfrestande. Stressen som kan uppstå under tjänstgöring upplevs ofta olika beroende på individ. Forskningen har i dagsläget mest fokuserat på stressorer, men det finns ett behov av en djupare förståelse av hur ambulanspersonalen upplever stressen och hur de bär sig åt för att hantera stressen. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva ambulanspersonalens upplevelser av stress och hur de hanterar det. Metod: Till studien valdes selektivt 21 personer ut från en ambulansstation i Västernorrlands län. Fyra fokusgruppsintervjuer gjordes och spelades in för att sedan analyseras genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Fjorton män och sju kvinnor i åldrarna mellan 25-63år medverkade i studien och representerades av ambulanssjukvårdare, sjuksköterskor och specialistutbildade sjuksköterskor. Resultat: Ambulanspersonalens upplevelse av stress berodde på allt från osäkerhet med sin kompetens, ansvar och bristande rutiner.

Olika behandlingsmetoder används vid övervikt och fetma, varav gastric bypass är en metod. En gastric bypass kräver livsstils- och beteendeförändringar i samband med operationen. Hälso och sjukvården har ett ansvar att ge informativt och rådgivande stöd i samband med livsstilsförändringar.SyfteSyftet var att beskriva personers upplevda behov av stöd från hälso- och sjukvården i samband med en gastric bypassoperation.MetodEn kvalitativ intervjustudie användes med utgångspunkt i gastric bypassopererade personers erfarenheter.

Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.

The bank market for farmers in Sweden is dominated by Swedbank and Landshypotek. One of the most aggressive challengers is Länsförsäkringar Bank, which in 2009 had seven per cent of the Swedish bank market for farmers, but 57 per cent of all new lending. This paper deals with the problem of new banks to break into the bank market where farmers are slow in terms of change in their attitudes and loyal to their banks. The study has been carried out in cooperation with Länsförsäkringar Gävleborg which is a new actor in the banking market and thus eager to take part in the outcome of the study. This essay thus seeks to examine the attitudes farmers have against bank switching and the factors that influence their choice of bank.

Bakgrund: I dagens samhälle pågår ständiga debatter om genus i olika kontexter, diskussionen om exempelvis löneskillnader, barnuppfostran och vårdande utifrån genus är närvarande i media, i såväl TV som tidningar och på internet. Studier har visat på att kvinnor och män uppfattar vårdande olika samt har olika preferenser för hur vårdandet skall utformas ? sjuksköterskor bör därför vara genusmedvetna i mötet med patienten för att kunna ge genuskänsligt vårdande utifrån en personcentrerad utgångspunkt.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva patienters uppfattningar av vårdande ? ur ett genusperspektiv.Metod: Detta arbete har genomförts som en litteraturöversikt och har baserats på 14 stycken vetenskapliga artiklar som har analyserats med en kvalitativ designmetod. Arbetet är förankrat med utgångspunkt i Katie Erikssons teori om vårdande.Resultat: Resultatet utgörs av tre teman; (a) Kvinnor och mäns förväntningar samt önskemål för vårdande, (b) När förväntningar och önskemål ej tillgodoses samt (c) När förväntningar och önskemål tillgodoses. Olikheter mellan könen gällande uppfattningar av vårdande framkom främst vid missnöje.

Traditionally, the majority of Swedish public libraries have carried out most of their acquisitions through Bibliotekstjänst's binding booklets. In recent years, however, many libraries have complemented the binding booklets and other services from Bibliotekstjänst by other ways of acquiring books, such as Internet bookshops, while other libraries have stopped using the binding booklets altogether. There are various reasons for this development, such as Information Technology making it possible for librarians to compare prizes and services from different retailers. Another important reason is the need for public libraries to meet new needs from their patrons, while remaining on a restrained budget, which often causes a need for reorganization of staff and resources.As a way of meeting the new needs for libraries, Bibliotekstjänst has created Profile Services (profiltjänster), a service in which a library outsources its acquisitions to Bibliotekstjänst. The staff of the library, in dialogue with Bibliotekstjänst, design a profile for the acquisitions for the library in question, in order to determinate which types and genres of literature the library and its patrons are requesting.

As a part of Göteborg Energi?s work towards a smarter electric grid, the company has chosen to investigate the possibilities of automation in their middle voltage grid. In Europe, there are example cases where these technologies already are installed which many articles on the CIRED conference 2011 proved. Netcontrol Oy in Finland has, together with Tekla, created an automated SCADA system that Vattenfall in Finland today uses. The grid mainly consists of 10 kV open loop fed city grid and this automation is mainly designed for this type of grid.

The aim of this study is to investigate attitudes among relatives and Emergency Department staff, concerning relatives possible presence during resuscitation. Seven scientific articles revises in the studys method. The articles have been searched for in CINAHL, Elin and PubMed. Articles have been analysed using Polit, Beck and Hungler (2001) instructions to evaluate scientific quality. The findings of this study show there it seems no longer appropriate routinely excluding relatives from family presence during resuscitation.

This study looks at how probation, client experiences, and criminal policy decisions affect recidivism in Sweden. Gaining a thorough grasp of how social, organizational, and political issues interact and impact the chances of rehabilitation and reintegration is the goal. Three research questions are addressed in the study: First, what are the causes of recidivism? Second, how is probation perceived by staff and clients in terms of control and support? Thirdly, what effects do political decisions have on probation services' operations and clients' chances for recovery?? A qualitative study was conducted with semi-structured interviews with twelve respondents, eight probation clients, three probation officers and one parliamentary politician. There were six themes that discussed the issue of recidivism from different perspectives, the collected data was analyzed through thematic content analysis.
