Bakgrund: Det diskuteras ofta om vinsterna med fysisk aktivitet, men alltför sällan om de risker det kan medföra då det går till överdrift. Det skapar en komplex situation då träning och att vara ?hälsosam? i huvudsak framstår som något positivt. Dagens unga kvinnor tränar allt mer, och är den riskgrupp med högst sannolikhet att hamna i ett riskbeteende i form av ätstörningar, psykisk ohälsa och träningsberoende. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka bakomliggande faktorer som kan identifieras för dessa unga kvinnor som tränar mer än rekommenderat.

Concentration of protein in bovine milk is one of the most significant milk quality parameters, to a large extent determining the price for milk to the producer. Mastitis is a common disease among dairy cows, negatively affecting not only milk yield but also milk protein composition. Milk from mastitic cows tends to have lower cheese yield, negatively affected processability properties and sensory quality, due to changed protein quality and composition. Poorer milk protein quality would have an economically negative impact on dairy industry. Only few studies have investigated the short term effects of mastitis on milk protein composition.

This essay is based on the work of arranging and making an inventory for an archive consisting of records from the Board of Education (Utbildningsnämnden) within the administration of the County Council in Uppsala, Sweden. This archive is kept at the County Councils Archives in Uppsala where I have done the work. I have documented the process and discussed the complex of problems relating to it. In this particular case the issue of limitation of the office of origin and the respect of the fonds, or the principle of provenance, have been of interest. This is due to the fact that the records had been rearranged and mixed with records with other origin related to the Board of Education.

De senaste åren har skett en stor förändring kring både synen på och tillgång till modern teknik (informations- och kommunikations teknologi, IKT) i utbildningsmiljön. Detta är en naturlig utveckling. Skolan ska återspegla samhället och eleverna ska självklart lära sig både om och med datorer. Formellt sett är det rektorn på en skola som ska se till att det finns tillgång till datorer i klassrummen. För att kunna ta sitt ansvar som pedagogisk ledare, bör rektorn ha en uppfattning om vad datorn (eller det digitala verktyget) ska användas till.I den här studien intervjuas fyra rektorer utifrån frågeställningen hur de tänker kring sambandet mellan sitt eget ledarskap, IKT och SO-undervisning.

Bakgrund LCHF (Low Carbohydrate, High Fat) är en lågkolhydratskost som fått stort genomslag i Sverige. Svenska Livsmedelverket är oroliga för hur denna utveckling kommer att påverka folkhälsan, framförallt då kolesterolnivåerna i landet under samma period ökat. Förespråkarna av kosthållningen ställer sig däremot frågande till rådande rekommendationer och menar att det är dessa som gör oss feta och sjuka. Trots debatten fattas det data på hur en LCHF-kost faktiskt ser ut.     Syfte Syftet med denna studie var att kartlägga hur en LCHF-kost ser ut gällande livsmedelsval och näringsintag och utifrån det diskutera kosthållningen ur ett folkhälsoperspektiv.Metod 14 individer som ansåg sig äta enligt LCHF rekryterades till att utföra en vägd kostregistrering under tre dagar.

Introduction Malignant lymphoma is the most common haematological blood cancer diagnosis. In spring 2013 a questionnaire was handed out to patients with various haematological malignancies. The results showed that the patients requested more verbal and written information about their disease and treatment. Providing information about chemotherapy and how it affects the patient's quality of life is part of the nursing care. Communication between nurse and patient is very important to share experiences and knowledge with each other Aim The aim is to describe the information and communication patients with malignant lymphoma demand, based on their own experience, in meeting with the nurse before and during curative chemotherapy treatment at a haematology outpatient clinic.

The purpose of this Bachelors thesis is to investigate teachers' work and attitude to life in relation to the curriculum. Furthermore, how teachers look at students' emotional/social development in their general development. The thesis also reviews the criticism from The Swedish School of Authority on various programs primarily SET (social and emotional training)Three qualitative interviews and four observations at three different schools with teachers have been conducted. Using theories of social constructivism, deliberative conversation and social and emotional skills, the intention is to interpret the gathered material.The results show that the teachers see knowledge of life in school as important in the foundation of students´ emotional/social development. One teacher follows the SET program and two teachers? took inspiration from various other programs and ideas.

Background: During the last decade climbing has become more popular and the numbers of climbers in Sweden have increased considerably. Most common are overuse injuries caused by the great stress and strain climbing creates on different parts of the body. Previous studies show that 75-90% of climbing injuries are localised in the upper extremity. Injuries affecting the lower extremity occur often acute and traumatic. Based on these facts and that the number of climbers constantly grows, it is more likely that the need of care from physiotherapist among climbers will increase.

Vi har under vår verksamhetsförlagda del av vår lärarutbildning observerat att många lärare haft stora problem med att komma tillrätta med elevers bristande sociala kompetens. I samtal med lärare, mentorer, elever men också med människor utanför skolan har vi blivit uppmärksammade på det faktum att samtliga önskar att skolans lärandemiljö skall präglas av lugn och trygghet och att grunden för detta bygger på ett gemensamt socialt förhållningssätt.Denna internationella dokumentstudie har på ett komparativt sätt studerat de nationella och lokala styrdokumenten vid en engelsk och en svensk skola med utgångspunkt från elever motsvarande år 4 - 9. Sammanfattning I september 2008 fångades 311 juveniler (unga individer) av arten sill (Clupea harengus) in vid fyra olika områden på den svenska västkusten; Råssö, Hunnebo, Askerö- och Gullmarfjorden. Fibromyalgi är ett tillstånd av okänd patologi och karaktäriseras av kronisk, diffus smärta samt ömhet vid palpation av specifika muskuloskeletala områden. Fibromyalgi är en kronisk sjukdom och därmed finns ingen behandling som botar sjukdomen. Dagens behandling, bestående av multimodala rehabiliteringsprogram innehållande exempelvis fysisk aktivitet och beteendeterapi, är därför till för att lindra symtomen. Patienter med fibromyalgi upplever även en reducerad livskvalitet. Syftet med denna studie var att sammanställa kunskapsläget om vilken inverkan olika former av fysisk aktivitet har på livskvalitet hos personer med fibromyalgi.

On commission of the County administrative board in Värmland County a method was developed for analysis of the occurrence of artificial land use at lakes and watercourses. With artificial land use is meant land significantly affected by man. Two bases have been used to carry out the analysis. In one of the analysis the vegetation database and in the other GSD¹-Marktäckedata (land cover data) was used (this method has been used by County administrative board in Jönköping County).The analysis comprises all watercourses within Alsterälven river basin. The digital water bodies are created by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute on the basis of GSD-Översiktskartan (general map).

Lizards are ectothermic and one should keep in mind that a decrease in the lizard?s environmental temperature may result in reductions in anesthetic metabolism. Respiratory depression is a profound problem because lizards lack a diaphragm, making inhalation and expiration completely active processes. This, in combination with cardiac shunting and breath holding makes the effects of anesthesia unpredictable.

Native spider silk is an attractive lightweight natural polymeric material with a unique combination of strength, extendibility and flexibility. Synthetic, recombinant spider silk is an attractive biomaterial with several possible fields of application. When a foreign material is introduced to blood, this can for example cause unwanted coagulation and complement activation. The aim of this study was to investigate if coatings of heparin or albumin could improve the blood compatibility of films of recombinant spider silk and to develop an initial method to do so. Hypothetically, objects like pacemakers, stents and dental implants could be covered with spider silk films of high blood compatibility to reduce potentially harmful foreign body reactions caused by the immune defense. Increased blood compatibility would likely lead to improvements for both the individual patients and the society thanks to reduced load on healthcare institutions. Our objective was to assess the blood compatibility of both functionalized and non-functionalized recombinant spider silk by evaluating coagulation and activation of the complement system of the immune defense. Coagulation was evaluated visually on glass slides and complement activation was analyzed by measuring the concentration of the complement system mediator C3a in blood samples that had been exposed to the different materials. This study introduces a non-toxic and easy performed method of improving the blood compatibility of recombinant spider silk films by adding a heparin coating. Heparin coated surfaces had statistically significantly higher blood compatibility than uncoated surfaces. The effects of albumin coating of films were less clear compared to the results of heparin coated films.
