This thesis describes teh solution of two problems regarding safety on powered lawnmowers; protectning the users from injury when using the lawnmower in slopes, and when cleaning the cutting blade.The task was carried out through initial studies on a representative lawnmower. A generation of ideas followed with an evaluation to select the best solution. The winning concept was further developed to reach acceptable performance. The word resulted in a functioning prototype utilising an original way of detecting inclinations without incorrect signals. Skapandet av en snackis : En studie av marknadsförares väg för att nå ut i reklambruset

Today there is something called clutter. Marketers are trying to communicate so many messages to consumers that it makes it difficult for consumers to take in the different market messages that exist.In this paper the authors study how marketers can reach out with a message in today's clutter. They are doing a case study of a marketing campaign which tried to solve the communication problems that clutter is causing. The goal of this campaign was to create a snackis, a Swedish word for a current topic, to reach out with their message. The campaign attracted attention from the media.

Identifikation av produktionsstörningar och obalanser vid tillverkning av golvskenor

Our report procedure identification of instability and disturbance in an automatic manufacturing line of processing and assembling of chair sliding rails at Sapas manufacturing department in Vetlanda.To obtain a stabile ground we have mapped the material flow to receive a comprehensive view and to visualise connections.We have examined cycle times at different stations in purpose to identificate bottlenecks. The result of our examination showed that the bottleneck of the line was the brush station. This leads to that the expected bottlenecks identificated by Sapa gets a delay time and by that a longer cycle time.Interruptions has a clear negative influence at the line performance so we have also assemble data through the operators report list and compiled these in order to find out the interruptions effect on the line. The outcome during our assembled period was that the reported interruptions corresponded about 30 percent of the total available production time. This has a clear negative effect on the line productivity and efficiency as we have calculated in order to get the present status..

This is a study of innovative technologies that are primarily based on collaboration with a client who in this study is called FTG, because they chose to be anonymous. A problem set has been presented, analyzed and worked with. The result of this is that we found some weaknesses in the leadership that have influenced the motivation in the workgroup negatively. The study has focus on changing leadership in order to increase motivation and openness to innovation within the company. With this focus on change in leadership, we have done a basic search for relevant theories related to the topic and found interesting data to work with.

Utfackningsvägg i fältfabrik : en studie av arbetsmiljö och enhetstider

Construction companies are frequently criticized for high prices and long construction time. At the same time, statistics shows that construction workers are on the sick-list for occupational injuries or casualties more than other groups at the labour market.Skanska built a block of flats with tenant-ownerships in Gävle. The construction consists of concrete walls with in-fill walls in the front. The purpose with this degree project is to perform a risk analysis in work environment with focus on repetitive strain injuries and control the time report for in-fill walls manufactured in a field factory. The result of this project will help to make more realistic cost predictions in the future.This degree project has been performed in cooperation with the construction company Skanska.

Att berätta med musik

Denna uppsats handlar om komponerandet av musik till musikdramatik, främst opera. Jag beskriver ett antal kompositionstekniker som kan användas för att gestalta olika känslor och stämningar i dramats handling. De tekniker som jag har valt att presentera är sådana som jag själv använt i komponerandet av den kammaropera som jag har arbetat med i samband med detta C-arbete. I avsnitten om kompositionsteknikerna ger jag en kortare redogörelse över varje kompositionstekniks historia och ger exempel ur min egen kammaropera. Avslutningsvis diskuterar jag konstnärlig frihet i relation till kompositionstekniker och den musikaliska uttolkningen av olika aspekter i dramat, samt blandningen av olika musikstilar och kompositionstekniker i kammaroperan..

Syfte:På empiriska och teoretiska grunder vill vi förstå vad det är som bidrar till att lågprisvaruhuset Ge-Kås dragningskraft. Metod:Vi har genomfört en fallstudie om varuhuset Ge-Kås i Ullared. För att uppnå uppsatsens syfte har vi använt oss observationer av varuhusets kunder och intervjuer av bussresenärer. Den framtagna empirin har sedan jämförts med relevant teori. Teorin har hämtats ur böcker och artiklar inom ämnet.

Event som Marknadskommunikation - Din Guide till Eventgalaxen: En kvantitativ studie som testar hur ansträngningsgrad påverkar uppkomsten av kommunikationseffekter

Event marketing's ability to create strong communication effects is a well-known fact and a contributing factor to its popularity in the world of marketing today. But while we know that it is the interaction between consumers and the brand within the scope of live marketing that gives rise to loyalty and purchase intention, we have no knowledge in how the company's efforts affect the outcome. As the investments in event marketing are growing at a comparatively high pace, it is urgent to obtain a deeper understanding and a sense of direction of the elements infuencing its success.In this study we investigate in what way and to what extent the amount of effort that a company puts into the making of an event is used as a signal of manufactor credibility, ability (i.e., expertise) and consumer care. And in what way and to what extent the perceived effort influence purchase intent, attitude and word-of-mouth. We also analyze marketing events in terms of the theory of equitable exchange and "desperation", a subject matter thus far only touched upon.As we identify two different types of events on the market today, we include both in our study: the in-store promotion related event and the party event, which is held in an external venue.

The market for management training programs is growing and the supply of the service is increasing and getting further diversified. A consequence is a market with a wide variety of definitions of the very concept of development, and subsequently a wide variety of practices and methods to achieve development. The individuals that are subject to these programs seldom know what they are purchasing, or what to expect. When assuming a transfer of the developers view on development to the subject, a need for a greater understanding of the concept arises. The purpose of this thesis is to understand what views on development do exist among management trainers and map underlying dimensions of the views to increase the understanding of the concept of development.

Studenter och informationssökning Fem studenters upplevelser av informationssökning i samband med uppsatsarbete

The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of five students searching for information in the context of writing a bachelor thesis. The main questions regard what strategies they use whilst searching for information, their relevance judgements and their feelings. The method used is the qualitative interview. The students were doing their third term in psychology. All the students were interviewed twice while working on the thesis.

Den heterosexuella bibliotekarien: Om BTJ, folkbibliotek och indexering av gaylitteratur

This Master?s Thesis examines the subject indexing of all Swedish gay fiction published from year 2000 until 2007. This is done from a queer theoretical- and domain analytical perspective. The study is conducted in the catalogue BURKsök created by BTJ which is the largest library media company in Sweden. The purpose of the study is to examine the heterosexual norm in fiction indexing and to study to what extent gay fiction is to be found by subject.

Attributionsstil och priming-effekt: En experimentell studie om välmående

The aim of this study was to examine differences between happy and unhappy people, with respect to individuals interpretations, their attributonal style and in what way the priming effect is related to their attributional style and well-being. The participants were 74 senior high school and 21 undergraduate college students. Participants were asked to read a short story, some words were in bold type, and thereafter for their subjective perception of the words in bold type loading and memory of them in a recognition list. Attributional style was operationalized with an own constructed instrument. The results show that happy individuals interpreted more words as positive than negative in comparission with unhappy individuals.

Den nakna sanningen? : Hur Nudie Jeans Co. kommunicerar sitt varumärke och hur konsumenter uppfattar det

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur Nudie Jeans kommunicerar sitt varumärke i olika kanaler, hur konsumenter uppfattar det, samt hur förhållandet mellan den kommunicerade och uppfattade bilden av varumärket ser ut. Teorierna utgår från ett varumärkesperspektiv med begrepp som identitet, image och kärnvärden. Även teorier rörande konsumentperspektiv innefattande aspekter som lojalitet, ansträngning och påverkan behandlas. Metoder som används i studien är dels text- och bildanalys av Nudie Jeans hemsida, intervju med sälj- och marknadschefen på Nudie Jeans samt en enkätundersökning, som besvarats av 177 konsumenter. Urvalet till enkäten är ett bekvämlighetsurval. Kommunikation från och om varumärket sker dels via hemsidan och dels hos distributörer, ofta i form av butikssäljare.
