This thesis has been conducted at Saab Bofors Dynamics AB. The purpose was to investigate if a non-linear missile model could be stabilized when the optimal control signal is computed considering constraints on the control input. This is particularly interesting because the missile is controlled with rudders that have physical bounds. This strategy is called Model Predictive Control. Simulations are conducted to compare this strategy with others; firstly simulations with step responses and secondly simulations when the missile is supposed to hit a moving target.

The focus of this thesis is primarily in electronic construction and describes the design process for a microcontroller circuit board from concept development to prototyping. The client develops test fixtures for automated testing of products within the electronics industry and needs a new controller circuit for the test fixtures that can handle controls and basic testing. An investigation into the needs of such a system is conducted and a prototype printed circuit board assembly is manufactured.The prototype is developed with focus on protection against electrostatic discharges and overvoltage. Among the functions that are included are voltage measurements, communication interfaces and control of input and output currents. Firmware for the prototype is developed and configured to communicate with a PC through USB interface for control and collecting of measurements..

Stockholm is growing with almost two fully loaded SL-buses a day. One of the consequences that derive from this is the increase of public transport travelers who put the regionally governed public transport up to the test in terms of its capacity. The Transport administration in Stockholm County initiated 2015 a project with the purpose of simplifying the calculation of bus stop capacities. A hypothesis (set up by the Transport administration) based on that a model for calculation of bus stop capacities could be calibrated for Stockholm conditions is being researched in this bachelor?s essay.The study is implemented by self-collected traffic data from bus stops located in the Stockholm city center.

The main purpose of this essay is on one hand to try to find and explain the formula of success of the rock group Status Quo, and on the other to elucidate and explain the foundation and essence in the music made by Status Quo, but also to study how, if and why the foundation and essence have changed over the years. The method of investigation is partly based on a musical analysis of three albums from three different periods: Hello! (1973), Ain´t Complaining (1988) and Heavy Traffic (2002), and partly on a sociological study of the group?s career between 1962 and today, 2005.The first part of the essay concerns the period between 1962-1973 with an analysis of the album Hello!; the second part concerns the period 1974-1988 and the album Ain´t Complaining; finally, the third part concerns the years between 1989-2002 with an intensified analysis of the album Heavy Traffic. This report describes a thesis done at the Jönköping University of Technology. The aim of this thesis was to create conditions to optimize an existing automatic electrostatic coating system by changing the technology for dispensing lacquer. To select the technology, a study of different dispensing techniques carried out which concluded that the piezoelectric membrane and electrostatic atomization are the most interesting techniques.In order to perform tests with dispensing techniques a demonstrator has been optimized. The controller and PC software of the demonstrator has been programmed to be able to send out PWM signals that control the dispensers. An adapter card was designed to control the piezoelectric membrane and a steering link to the electrostatic atomization has been developed for PWM signals up to 500V.The work has laid ground for a demonstrator where further testing of the dispensing technologies can be performed..

På grund av marknadens hårdare krav på en bra likviditetsredovisning har likviditetsplaneringen blivit allt viktigare för företag. I arbetet med likviditetsplaneringen är det viktigt att veta vid vilken tidpunkt som in- och utbetalningar sker. Det är dock ett svårt arbete som påverkas av att kunder har olika betalningsvanor och av osäkra affärer i utländsk valuta.Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva hur Schenker genomför sin likviditetsplanering idag samt att undersöka ifall det finns förbättrings-möjligheter. De teorier som berörts handlar om faktorer som påverkar planeringen av likviditeten och hur de bör behandlas. Insamlingen av företagsinformation har skett genom en fallstudie av Schenker där tre intervjuer med en controller genomfördes.Studien har visat att Schenker överlag har en väl fungerande likviditetsplanering.

This master thesis covers the development of an automatic tuning process for the existing speed controller for drive systems. The drive systems are resonant two-mass systems where a motor is used to drive a load connected by a shaft. The developed method relies heavily on system identification and the construction of a complete mechanical model of the process. With this approach, the common problem with poor load speed control that derives from measuring only the motor speed can be addressed and solved for a majority of such processes.The automatic tuning method has along with general test functions been implemented in a complete tool for automatic tuning, testing and performance evaluation and reporting for drive systems..

Flygtrafikledningen är en bransch som inte är särskilt synlig för allmänheten men som har stor inflytande på flygtrafiken, till exempel flygets miljöpåverkan. Det verkar heller inte talas särskilt mycket om flygtrafikledningens samhällsansvar, eller CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), varken inom eller utanför branschen, även om just CSR är ett hett ämne som företag i andra branscher oftast tar på stort allvar. Därför besvarar uppsatsen följande tre frågor: (i) hur arbetar flygtrafikledningen med CSR och hur kommunicerar man det arbetet, (ii) varför arbetar flygtrafikledningen med CSR, och (iii) vilka framtida utvecklingsmöjligheter finns för CSR inom flygtrafikledningen? För att kunna svara på dessa frågor har forskning om företags samhällsansvar generellt och med koppling till flygtrafik studerats. Empiriskt bygger studien på öppna källor (hemsidor, rapporter etc.) och kvalitativa intervjuer med representanter från flygledningsleverantörerna LFV, ACR och EUROCONTROL.

Vi behandlar i denna uppsats metoder för att minska transaktionsexponering vid utrikeshandel. Uppsatsen är skriven på uppdrag av ett fallföretag och problematiken kring transaktionsexponeringen sätts i relation till deras situation. Syftet är således att utifrån fallföretagets situation beskriva teorier kring området och genomföra ett test för att komma med förslag på en säkringsstrategi för företaget.
