Happiness is often considered our ultimate goal in life. This essay explores the political im- plications of this view, through the critique of happiness found in the works of Simone de Beauvoir and Sara Ahmed. Ahmed and Beauvoir consider happiness to be harmful as a po- litical goal, since it tends to diminish dimensions of power and conflict in favor of harmony, and is not compatible with a political philosophy based on freedom or liberation. Happiness is often confused with the ethical Good, but this essay argues that happiness does not ne- cessarily entail good things. Indeed, happiness can be used to justify oppression and unjust political systems..

This thesis has two purposes: (1) to analyze the emptiness in Blodbok by Christine Falkenland, and (2) to analyze my own reading of the same book. I have chosen to focus on how emptiness is expressed through the body, the language and the place in Blodbok, because of the deep impact these seem to have on the emptiness. The thesis discusses what kind of emptiness that is described, what it does to me as a reader, and how it is connected to other works by Falkenland. Uppsatsens syfte: Att undersöka hur föräldrar idag påverkas av hälsodebatten kring socker. Frågeställning: Hur kan föräldraskap och föräldraidentitet konstrueras i förhållande till en debatt om ?det farliga sockret?? Materialet består av tematiskt öppna intervjuer med föräldrar inom fem familjer (sammanlagt åtta personer och fem intervjuer). Intervjuerna är gjorda med föräldrar i Stockholms innerstad och när-förorter. Studien har ett konstruktivistiskt perspektiv och undersöker hur föräldraskap och föräldraidentitet görs i förhållande till olika aktörer och sociala kontexter.

In this essay we aimed to find how economic scarcity among children and youth presents itself in school, according to how school staff experience it. We have conducted interviews with student welfare staff to hear their experiences of this subject and how the schools try to help these pupils. We have used interpretative phenomenology as a base for our work. We have also used some of this traditions most important notions along with notions of Erving Goffman and Sara Ahmed during our processing off the material.  With help from these, we report our most interesting results. We have seen that a lack of resources exists among youth today and that everyone not has easy access to things many of us might take for granted.

Jumper´s knee is a common overuse injury due to repetitive microtrauma to the patellar tendon. It is especially common among athletes who are involved in sporting activities that involve jumping or fast running. The term jumper´s knee was adopted after Blazina published his original paper in 1973. Its pathology can be considered as a partial or total rupture of the patellar tendon in one of its three insertions. The aim of this literature study was to review the methods used to treat this condition and the results obtained focusing on pain relief and returning to previous sport or level of activity.

Konceptet Intern marknadsföring (IM) har utvecklats mycket och ses inom forskningen som tillämpbart inom alla organisationer. En stor blandning av idéer, modeller och teorier har blivit samlade under detta begrepp men trots det är det enligt teoretiker få organisationer som använder sig av och arbetar utifrån konceptet i praktiken. Det finns enligt flera forskare i nuläget ingen riktigt klar och överenskommen definition av IM, vilket har gjort att det även finns en stor variation på hur detta bör tillämpas praktiskt i organisationer. Många olika definitioner och modeller som beskriver IM har jobbats fram och utvecklats av flertalet forskare, men det finns fortfarande inget enatkoncept. Forskare hävdar att en klarhet av konceptet är av vikt för att underlätta tillämpningen i praktiken.

Purpose: From an activity-perspective examine the meaning of housing accessibility and older persons´ perception of participation. Method: Systematic literature review of articles searched in the databases, Medline, Pubmed, Ahmed, Cinahl, Scopus and Google Scholar. Search on individual keywords, and in various combinations of the words home environment, home modification, occupational therapy, aging, accessibility and participation. Nine scientific articles were examined. Results: The articles were published between 2005 and 2009.

This essay examines the way the recurring motifs in Karin Boye's poetry might be read as expressions of queer or subversive desire. The fact that the lyrical I is not gendered in the poems opens up for a queer reading. In adherence to Sara Ahmed's notion of desire lines and sexual orientation I discuss the spatial aspects of desire, and explore the positions and movements of the lyrical I in Boye's poetic landscape as deviations from the concept of the straight and marked path, into the queer and unknown.I trace desire in Boye's poetry mainly through the themes of nature and night, and the ways in which these phenomena deviate from the normative structures laid out by the poems. Usually the motifs of night (such as fog, shadows and darkness) are associated with the fading of the senses. The night obscures the vision of the lyrical I and wraps them in heavy silence, making them experience and desire in new ways. Through motifs related to nature Boye formulates a feminine, matriarchal myth.

Uppsatsen har baserats på fältstudier av fyra communities i Sverige, nämligen Lunarstorm, Glife, Nightlife och Nattstad. Sekundärdata har använts i form av böcker, artiklar och Internet. Slutsats:        Fördelen av att företag använder sig av communities är bl.a. träffsäkerheten och att företag ska enklare kunna nå ut till målgruppen som deras reklamannonser riktar sig till.

Resultatet kopplas till Lgr 11 samt relevant litteratur rörande värdegrund, demokrati, mänskliga rättigheter, jämställdhet mellan kvinnor och män, mångkulturalism samt respekt för vår gemensamma miljö.I resultatet framkommer det att de värden som kan utläsas i de undersökta läromedlen i flera avseenden inte överensstämmer med den värdegrund som framhålls i Lgr 11. Därför bör sådana läromedel bearbetas genom reflektion och diskussion rörande värden och värdegrund av lärare och elever..

Massage är en gammal behandlingsmetod som kan ges vid olika muskulära tillstånd. I Sverige är det vanligt förekommande med nacke- och skuldersmärta och massage är ett av de behandlingsalternativ som finns. Detta är en metod som fysioterapeuter tidigare behandlat med men som nu diskuteras. Att undersöka evidensen för massage som smärtlindrande behandling vid nacke- och skuldersmärta. En litteratursökning gjordes på databaserna Cinahl, PubMed, Pedro och Ahmed.

Armlymfödem är ett vanligt förekommande tillstånd hos kvinnor som har genomgått bröstcancerbehandling och är ett kroniskt tillstånd som kan påverka rörlighet och funktion i armen. Smärta och tyngdkänsla i armen är vanliga symtom. Den fysioterapeutiska behandlingen vid armlymfödem innefattar kompression, lymfmassage och rörelseövningar. Försiktighet vad gäller tung och repetitiv belastning av den drabbade armen brukar rekommenderas. Syftet med studien var att sammanställa befintligt dokumenterad kunskap vad gäller styrketräning och dess effekter för kvinnor med armlymfödem efter bröstcancer.
