The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate how adults describe their individual reading experiences, on the basis of their own reflections by keeping a reading diary. Reading diaries kept during two months and a qualitative questionnaire for each of our nine motivated and advanced adult readers, were analyzed by using qualitative content analysis. The study was carried out on the Internet. The theoretical framework that served as a point of departure is Ross? and Chelton?s model for the process of choosing a book to read for pleasure, Nussbaum?s moral philosophy and thesis ?Reading for life? and Mukar?ovský?s theory of the aesthetic value.
The Lake
The purpose of ?The Lake? was to create an experience with music and visuals working with no budget.A personal purpose was that I wanted to explore new areas in design, like scenography, and combine them with my previous knowledge and skills. My method was to keep my hands busy at all times and use new materials. I also wanted to work with other creators and learn from their methods. Together with a musician I created the music and the concept for the project.

In an age of increasing technology, it is a fact that typing on a keyboard are used in schools to replace handwriting, this raises questions about the future use of the skill handwriting still is necessary. The aim of this studys is to investigate students? opinion about their handwriting, how motivation can influence handwriting and how teachers work with handwrithing. Through intevjues with 25 sixgraders and two of their teachers, this study tends to proclame a picture of the handwriting education in a Swedish school. The results of this study shows that the students? attitude towards handwriting and choice of writingtool has some connection to the motivation but is not restricted to it.

sold. This study intends to find out how you can make use of rhetorical models

techniques of photography to enhance the communication skills of photos of hotel
rooms. The main focus was to understand the difference between informative and
emotional photographs and what consumers themselves focus on when choosing a
hotel, and also how to use the collected information to create a larger buying
interest
through hotel photography. Using previous research work and quantitative data
collection method, we have concluded that the informational and emotional
photography methods have obvious differences but also many similarities, and are
most effective used together and that the hotel consumer is more aware of the
images

Konstpedagogik : ett alternativt arbetssätt
This study concerns art education, and the importance of creativity in learning. The objective is to examine the use of art education in practice, and the school teacher?s position on this practice.The theoretical basis of the study is rooted in a socio-cultural perspective, and concerns the relationships between theoretical concepts as learning, knowledge and art education.The investigation is qualitative and the main research methods are participant observations and structured interviews.The group studied in this investigation consisted of five active educators, who work at different schools and make use of art-based methods in their daily work.My results show that teachers believe that art education can be used by schools as a gateway to the other subjects. Art is regarded as a form of understanding through which pupils explore their surroundings, challenge their ideas and build skills through interaction with others..

During the past decade Information Technology (IT) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have become the main tools in teaching. Authors and early educators who are treated in the study talks about how technology has come to change the school's approach to teaching and didactic tools. The technology has also affected students´ and teachers´ ways to work because the technology's versatility makes demands on the user's expertise and competence. The technical skills have long been associated as a male domain, where men are expected to master the technology´s versatility. These expectations are not the same for women.
Vaginal sätesförlossning. Barnmorskors synpunkter
Bakgrund: Cirka tre till fyra procent av alla barn ligger i sätesbjudning vid fullgången graviditet. Med alltmer antal lyckade vändningsförsök och ökat antal kejsarsnitt minskar antalet barn som förlöses vaginalt vid sätesbjudning. Det påverkar barnmorskors och obstetrikers möjlighet att upprätthålla kompetensen vid sätesbjudning. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva barnmorskors synpunkter om vaginal sätesförlossning. Metod: Öppna frågor vid intervjuer med fem förlossningsbarnmorskor i Göteborg.

Bakgrund: Vårdmiljön har genom tiderna gått från att vara i fokus, till att bli åsidosatt till förmån för den medicintekniska utvecklingen och nu på senare år blir den igen allt mer uppmärksammad. Problem: Sjuksköterskan har en viktig roll i skapandet av en vårdmiljö men hur upplever patienten vårdmiljön? Syfte: Att belysa patientens upplevelser av vårdmiljön. Metod: En litteraturstudie med kvalitativ inriktning med en beskrivande syntes som metod. Resultat: Utifrån patientens upplevelser av vårdmiljön identifierades tre teman med tillhörande subteman.

This study aims to visualize the youngest preschool children matematical learning in the free game. In my study the mathematics will be analyzed based on the interactions children participate in, and how children experience mathematics through the lived body.I have chosen to undertake a qualitative research in form of observations. Through this research method, I would approach the child's perspective, which means that i analyze the material that the children in the observations reveals to me as a researcher.The results of the study show that children experience mathematics skills both through the lived body, as well as in interaction situations between children. Överskridanden : En tematisk studie av verklighetsproblematiken i Karl Ove Knausgårds Min kamp 1-6
The award-winning Norwegian novelist Karl Ove Knausgård achieved great success with his latest book, Min kamp. Both commercially and critically, the novel was praised for its seemingly successful attempt to transcend the boundary between fiction and real life. Focusing on the auto-fictional narrator?s struggle to balance his daily life with his ever so demanding aesthetic ambitions, the novel gives high-detail descriptions of the most basic day-to-day chores, intimately mixed with philosophical reflections on topics such as painting, literature and postmodern civilisation.This essay proposes an alternative perspective on the realism of the novel. Instead of relying on a correspondence theoretical view, which highlights the level of correspondence of a particular representation with reality, I seek, inspired by Martin Heidegger?s thoughts on works of art, to trace a poetics which sees the verity in a work of art as the ?unconcealment? of the world, or the coming-to-being of objects.
Skolhuset - idéer, avsikter och debatter kring skolhusets fysiska miljö i tidskriften Lärarnas Tidning - Svensk Skoltidning 1962-1974
In this study I examine the debates, intentions and ideas concerning the physical and created schoolroom as they appeared in the journal Lärarnas Tidning - Svensk Skoltidning (Teachers Journal ? Swedish School journal) during the period 1962-1974. The built and created school building and its environment has been a relatively neglected topic in Swedish pedagogical research.When the Swedish comprehensive system transformed during the sixties, with new curricula and a common nine year school, many school professionals realised the need for a new and pedagogically adjusted schoolhouse.The early seventies marked a decline after a ten year period with an extensive building program affecting large parts of Sweden, and where schoolhouses had been an important part. The debate concerning the new Swedish school building was sometimes inspired and refreshing, but resistance and bitterness was also expressed. In part, this should be seen against the backdrop of the introduction of a new educational system, using new and sometimes untested pedagogical ideas, together with the fast transformation of the Swedish society.The research method is an exploratory textual analysis focused on five different issues: ideas concerning community centres and integration, participatory and democratic issues about the built environment, the school building as a pedagogical tool, aesthetic considerations, and the working environment.
Att arbeta med Trageton, läs- och skrivinlärning med digitala verktyg : En kvalitativ intervjuundersökning
This paper aims to examine how, and if, music is being used integrated in other subjects thanmusic in school. The study is based on qualitative interviews and I haveinterviewed fourteachers, regardless of whether they use music a lot or not.The questions the study is basedon are if there might be a connection between theteachers' own feelings for music andwhether they use music inschool or not, how music is being used and does the use of musicgive any effects?The result of this study shows that there can be a connection between the teachers ownsfeelings for music and the fact if they use music when they teach or not. One of the teachersI?ve interviewed had bad music experiences and didnot use music in her teaching.

The purpose of this study is to examine and compare librarian profession with different professional theories. The intention is to describe how the librarian profession meets the different professional criteria and to what extent the librarian profession can be said to be professional in expertise, service and autonomy. Nolin?s modern theory provides an opportunity to analyze occupational groups based on professionalized basic concepts. The analysis of relevant material showed that the librarian is a service profession with high skills, but does not hold a high degree of autonomy.
Unga förövare av sexuellt våld - En systematisk kunskapsöversikt av behandlingsmetoder för unga förövare
Unga sexualförövare är ett växande samhällsproblem, enligt ett flertal källor saknas kunskap om adekvata behandlingsmetoder för denna förövargrupp. Något som är nödvändigt både för att minimera antalet offer och återfall. Genom systematisk kunskapsöversikt undersöks vilka evidensbaserade behandlingsmetoder som finns att tillgå för unga sexualförövare. Detta görs genom att systematiskt söka efter tidigare forskning berörande ämnet inom olika databaser med ett antal sökord. I resultatet fick tre tidigare studier gällande behandlingsmetoderna Multisystemic Treatment och Interpersonal Skills Program, tillräckligt starkt vetenskapligt stöd för att behandlingarna skulle kunna användas i praktiken..

For this purpose a component breakdown of the grid needs to be made to determine the value of the network and by that the tariff price that is reasonable for the network business in question to charge.The primary breakdown criteria is the voltage-level and type of region. Voltage-level is crucial for the cost and complexity of a grid-part, because the higher the voltagelevel is, there are more and stricter laws and rules to follow. This work is limited to the distributionpart of the grid, in other words voltage levels from 20 kV and below.The type of region is crucial to the type of components you can and want to use. In city environments both overhead-wires and independent substations are undesirable for both practical, safety and aesthetic reasons.
