Omfattningen av forskning gällande ungdomars tillit och identitet är något sparsam. Denna undersökning är en kartläggning av hur ungdomar i två områden i Göteborgsregionen skiljer sig åt i dessa avseenden. Som basis för undersökningen utförs intervjuer med fokusgrupper från högstadieskolor. Frågorna gäller gruppers kollektiva identitetskänsla och grad av tillit till samhället i stort. För att genomföra kartläggningen utgår man från tidigare forskningsrön på området och fördjupar sig i innebörden av begreppen identitet och tillit, vilket sedan sätts i relation till den eget utförda undersökningen.

Uppsatsen behandlar EU:s utvidgningspolitik och dess underliggande krafter. Syftet är att förklara Turkiets långa väg mot EU-medlemskap med hjälp av en jämförelse med Polen. Vårt teoretiska ramverk är en tredelad modell som förklarar individers och organisationers handlande. Modellen består av konsekvenslogik som rör rationella kalkyler om nytta, regellogik som behandlar situationsspecifika regler och uppfattningar om gemenskap och identitet, samt morallogik som tar sin utgångspunkt i universella principer som demokrati och mänskliga rättigheter. Förutom de officiella dokumenten rörande utvidgningen undersöker vi den inofficiella diskussionen - en relativt oprövad avgränsning i den europeiska kontexten.

Färskvatten förutspås i framtiden ? till följd av dess ökande knapphet ? ge upphov till många konflikter. Då vatten är en oersättlig resurs för såväl stat som individ är samarbete dock det vanligaste utfallet av knappheten idag. Denna studie ämnar undersöka det ovanligare utfallet (konflikt) och besvara frågeställningen: »varför har inte stabila avtal som reglerar hur vissa internationella vattendrag får nyttjas kommit till stånd?».

Tack vare sjofarten har industrierkunnat etablera sig pa nya omraden, men negativ miljopaverkan ar fortfarandeett problem.Under projekteringen visas att containerfartygets huvuddimensioner uppfyllerkrav pa lastutrymme och begransningar i Suez{kanalen. Djupgaendeoch fribord kan andras, men fribord liksom antal vattentata sektioner borundersokas vidare. Fartyget ar nagot kursinstabilt. Tyngpunkten i vertikalledhar en felmarignal pa knappt fyra meter.

When Deng Xiaoping introduced his reform program, he began China's transition from a plan economy to a socialist market economy. Liberal theorists often argue that there is an automatic link between ?free market? and ?democracy?, however this link is not evident in China. This contradiction constitutes the problem area of this thesis.With a theoretical framework containing ?totalitarism? and ?Tang Tsous culturalist approach? I have analysed the leadership of CCP (China's Communist Party) and its strategies to maintain the Chinese political system.

Groups that are often referred to as being dismissed in society in general is by some aspects also considered being so in political arenas. A recent compilation of existing research over structurally based objections of gaining power and positions within Swedish parliamentary politics highlight a lack of research considering whether sexual orientation could be such a discriminatory basis. Using a queer theoretical approach, and drawing on concepts such as heteronormativity and homophobia, the principal aim of this essay is to illuminate aspects of local parliamentary political areas where discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation become relevant. In order to do so six in-depth interviews with homosexual politicians have been conducted. Finding a queer potential in certain ideological parliamentary political environments that enable homosexual politicians to be open about their sexual orientation, it still relies upon the individual to be confident enough not to interpret the political context as homophobic and heteronormative..

This study examines how managers in the public sector experience and manage their digital maturity in the context of digital transformation. The study is based on qualitative interviews with twelve managers and three developers in a municipality in western Sweden and is analyzed based on a theoretical framework that combines individuals digital maturity (DIMI model) with organizational conditions. The results show that managers' digital maturity is influenced by both individual and organizational factors. At the individual level, the importance of digital competence, self-efficacy, and willingness to participate in and lead change are emphasized. At the same time, organizational conditions such as coordination, resources, technical support and clear governance are required.

In 2003 the deciding political council in Bromölla municipality requested that an overhaul on the committee and public administration structure should be conducted. In the report Bromölla was characterized as a traditional organization with a low degree of change. This case study will examine why the organization previously has been reluctant to change its structure and why they are willing to do so now. In the pursuit of this objective I conducted document studies, interviews and observations. I have used theories on, institutional change and organizational culture to enlighten this.My findings shows that the traditionalists within the organization has greatly affected this reluctance towards change, in the deciding council 39 % of the representatives are 60 years or older.

Dagens kriser rör sig över hela den globala arenan och spänner över ett brett spektra av eventuella händelser. Klassiska kriser som naturkatastrofer och olyckor är idag inte längre nog, också miljöhot, terrorism och IT bör tas med i beräkningarna. På samma gång hoten förändrats har samhällsstrukturen omstöpts vad gäller krisberedskap. Stora delar av den kritiska infrastruktur som tidigare skötts av offentlig sektor hör idag till den privata sfären.I denna uppsats vill vi ta reda på vilka förutsättningarna är för att uppnå god krisberedskap inom offentliga organisationer. I ljuset av det svenska kriskomplexet och tidigare forskning analyserar vi rapporter från två svenska kriser, diskoteksbranden i Göteborg 1998 samt stormen Gudrun 2005.

Why participate? Many studies focus on explaning non-participation in politics. The political parties are loosing members and the particiaption of young people are given extra attention. This thesis is about young people who do participate in party politics. The question is how they experience their participation and how they feel that they can have a politcal influence by being a member of the youth section of a political party.

Since the war ended in Bosnia and Herzegovina in1995 the country's economic and political crisies has grown dramatically. As in so many other Post-communist states the corruption has become a large problem for the whole society. The ethnic entities in which Bosnia is divided makes it possible for the national parties to operate and rule the same political propaganda that was the result of the war in the first place. However the international forces like the EU and the USA have made this kind of no non-centralised governmentship possible through the Dayton peace agreement, according to many experts this has to change in the constitution by any means possible if Bosnia will have a future. By the thesis of Professor Susan Rose-Ackerman the theoretical analysing tool should be followed for the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 2002 George W. Bush held a speech where he classified six nations as being the main threats to American security, one of them being Syria, a state with a secular constitution, no resent offence towards the US, and with an improved diplomatic relationship to the US during the Clinton years.Being an ally to the Soviet Union during the Cold War Syria was forced to redefine its role in the region. Using neorealistc theory one part conlusion is the fact that the new Syrian leader, Bashar al-Hasad, in the early 21th century determined to set higher goals for the Syrian power ambition in the Middle East, threatened to destabilize the region and leave the US and its allies in a caotic situation.In the US, however, the new administration after 11/9 sharpened its tone towards states that did not cooperate in the new ?war on terrorism? or/and were likely to harbour terrorists. Syria was accused of doing both.

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe intensive care nurses? experiences communicating with patients during mechanical ventilation.Methods/design: A qualitative interview study. Interviews where analyzed using descriptive content analysisSetting: Nine intensive care nurses from two different intensive care units were interviewed using a semi structured interview guide.Background: Past research has shown that patients during mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit, feel very vulnerable and the helplessness of being unable to speak. These patients feels that they are completely dependent on the nurses and their competence. It has been shown to be very important that the patient feels included, acknowledged and respected.Results: The analyzed data resulted in a theme; through communication strive to preserve patients´ dignity and three main categories; create relationship to the patient, minimize patients´ vulnerability and don´t give up.

This paper aims to present a theoretical understanding of the emergence of extreme right- wing populist parties (ERP), and more specifically the electoral breakthrough of the ERP party, Sverigedemokraterna in the municipality of Karlskrona. By doing so the study is constructed as a theoretical framework, where the empirical material and the theoretical aspects are interwoven. This means that the theoretical framework also functions as an analytical part. The paper shows how Sverigedemokraterna could be understood as an ERP party, based on e.g its populist anti-establishment critique, and its critique towards the ?immigrant issue?.
