The aim of the study is to evaluate how a law decided 2002 regarding discrimination against students in the higher education system in Sweden, was implemented at the University of Kalmar and Växjö University.The study asks two questions: How did the both universities implement the law? How did the universities manage to implement the law? In order to answer these questions the ?top-down? perspective, often used in field social science within discipline implementation, is used. First the study examines the goals with the legislation, and thereafter the actual implementation at the both examined universities.The conclusion is that the universities has high ambitions with implementation of the law and extensive formalized regulations but that it practically seems to be hard to get legitimacy with the implementation throughout the whole organizations. This makes the implementation work slowly though it?s working well with the people who have direct responsibility for the implementation..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det går att påvisa några samband mellan jämställdhet och ekonomisk tillväxt. Med hjälp av multipel regressionsanalys undersöks paneldata från EU-15. Den beroende variabeln, ekonomisk tillväxt, förklaras av en rad oberoende variabler. Olika modeller testas för att se om tillförandet av jämställdhetsvariabler förbättrar modellen. För att avgöra om så är fallet undersöks förändringen i justerad förklaringsgrad.

Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen var att utreda försäkringsgivares regressrätt mot privatpersoner och företag vid skade- och personförsäkring. Regressrätten regleras i 25 § FAL. Bestämmelsen avtalas dock bort i de flesta fall av försäkringsgivaren i syfte att utöka möjligheterna till regress. För att rationalisera och effektivisera regressförfarandet bolagen emellan har flera bolag anslutit sig till en regressöverenskommelse. Syftet med examensarbetet är att få en förståelse för hur den tid som enhetschefer (enhetschefer inom omsorg och rektorer) ägnar åt administrativt arbete påverkar deras ledarskap. Studien utförs på uppdrag av fackförbundet Vision och Lärarförbundet eftersom de menar att enhetscheferna har en viktig roll i organisationen. Tidigare forskning visar att enhetschefer i offentlig förvaltning har en stor administrativ arbetsbörda, vilket hindrar dem från att fokusera på sitt ledarskap och ge stöd till medarbetarna. Enhetschefers situation är dessutom utsatt, då de måste hantera krav från många olika håll. I denna studie utfördes kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer på enhetschefer i Göteborgs Stad.

En studie om huruvida en generös föräldraledighetspolicy kan bidra till att skapa konkurrensfördelar. Uppsatsen behandlar ett urval av organisationer med erkänd generös föräldraledighetspolicy inbäddad i företagskulturen. Efter en inledande redogörelse av bakgrundsbilden för detta ämne, följer en beskrivning av respektive organisations policy och process. Dessa, tillsammans med teorier huvudsakligen hämtade från området Human Resource Management, är ämnade att utgöra underlag för den analys av och diskussion kring hur ovan nämnda organisationer kan använda sin föräldraledighetspolicy för att skapa långsiktiga konkurrensfördelar. My thesis is based on a qualitative study in which I have selected six professional teachers in a school in Greater Stockholm, and their views on the phenomenon of conflict management. My questions were the following.How teachers perceive the phenomenon of conflict in the world of school?What strategies do teachers use to resolve conflicts with students?In order to analyze my informants, I have chosen different books that deal with conflict man-agement, policy documents and books on the teaching profession meaning. Through my investigation I found that some teachers used tools and strategies through expe-rience and reflections, and resolve conflicts together or individually. My informants described that there are some teachers how choose to hide and pretend not to see the problem.

English title: Part-time work among women in Sweden ? what influences choice of working hours? In the 1960s and 70s a large growth in part-time work amongst women in the Swedish labour market took place. A net inflow of workers into the labour market has been suggested as the main source. However, part-time work is still a common phenomenon among Swedish women; in 2004 almost 40% of all women worked part-time, and women are clearly dominating the part-time sector. A gradual changeover from house work to market work is hardly a valid explanation anymore.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how students relates to and perceives the schoolswork with the value base. To answer my purpose has been two studies conducted. The first study aimed at finding out students' perceptions regarding the content and concretization of the value base and on their perceptions of participation and retention of this work. This study was conducted using a questionnaire survey.The second study has aimed to highlight the approach embodied by the schools' plans and treatment plans. This sudy has been conducted trough a review of policy documents available on the websites of education departments, municipalities and schools.

Platschefsjobbet ingriper en rad olika moment, till exempel är platschefen den som har det övergripande ansvaret för det tekniska utförandet på en byggarbetsplats. Platschefen ställs också inför en rad olika administrativa arbetsmoment som måste skötas korrekt på en byggarbetsplats. Platschefens roll har genom datorns intrång blivit mycket enklare men samtidigt har platschefen fått fler och mer administrativa arbetsuppgifter de senaste åren. Har det blivit så hög belastning på platscheferna av dessa lite mindre viktiga i sammanhanget administrativa uppgifter, så att de lite viktigare uppgifterna som till exempel arbetsmiljö har blivit lidande och detta i sin tur kan leda till en ökad risk för ohälsa till exempel då genom ökad stress för både platscheferna och yrkesarbetarna. Är det även så att dessa administrativa moment skapar mycket övertid för platschefer? Det är flera av de administrativa uppgifterna som det inte krävs någon kvalificerad teknisk utbildning för att sköta om.

Lifelong learning (LLL), a concept dating back to the 1920s, is much used both by the OECD, UNESCO and the EU. But while intergovernmental think-tanks and supranational organisations often use the term in a positive sense, many (not least scholars) are critical of the term. The critique either deals with the lack of a universal definition, that the implicit responsibility for LLL has shifted onto the individual, or that the meaning of the term has shifted from a humanistic one linked to the personal development and a better society to a neoliberal one that involves growth, competition, globalisation and human capital theory. This study is based on interviews with nine trade union representatives on their understandings of lifelong learning. The results showed that while LLL was positively viewed by most, there was virtually no communication vis-à-vis members on the topic, most trade unions have no policy regarding LLL, and responses from representatives were sometimes self-conflicting..
