This thesis is about the public library of Ulricehamn and the cultural activities at the library during the period from 1960 to 1998. We have focused on the study of the cultural activities. It begins with the foundation of the library of Ulricehamn and a historical background to it. It follows with the definitions of the public library and a historical background to the public library in Sweden. Then we present the goal of the public library in general and the goal of Ulricehamn's city library.

Förväntningarna på företagens etik har ökat från allmänheten under de senaste åren. För att överleva behöver företag ett utbyte med intressenter, genom att bland annat införa etiska riktlinjer kan företaget leva upp till intressenternas önskemål. Ledningen på företaget i hotell- och restaurangbranschen där undersökningen utfördes hade som mål att samla företagets olika avdelningar så de agerar som en enhet med samma etiska inriktning. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur de anställda upplever skapandet av, arbetet med och användandet av de etiska riktlinjerna som tagits fram på företaget. Vi ville också hitta orsakerna till dessa uppfattningar.

IT-system kan delas upp i två huvudgrupper: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)-system och Best of Breed (BoB)-system. Ett ERP-system definieras som ett system vars funktioner använder en gemensam databas och kan därigenom binda ihop olika IT-system. Användaren kan då enkelt komma åt data inom den egna organisationen från sin egen arbetsstation utan att söka igenom flera olika system, jämfört med system som arbetar parallellt och inte samlar data i en gemensam databas. BoB-system a?r inriktade pa? en specifik tja?nst, men a?r utvecklade fo?r att klara av att utföra den sa? bra som mo?jligt.

In October 2009, a new decision was made concerning the administration of predators which resulted in a new wolf policy in Sweden. This meant that the wolf population now should be limited to 210 individuals by harvest. The new policy also recognized that the public acceptance of this species must increase and the genetic status improved. In the 17th of December a decision was taken by the Swedish parliament that it should become legal to hunt wolves in Sweden. The wolf hunt resulted in debate on a large scale amongst people, some thought of it as a good decision while others thought it was wrong.

Syfte: För att skapa effektiva organisationer behövs policys. Dessa är vanligtvis normativa och framställer de goda arbete som ska genomföras inom organisationen. Syftet med den här studien är att få en förståelse för hur medarbetare i en statlig myndighet anser att de har kunskap om och möjlighet att följa policys. Jag utgår från två stycken policys som finns i Skatteverkets organisation Medarbetarpolicyn och Mångfaldsplanen. Jag har under arbetet använt mig av tre frågor.

The aim and purpose of the following study is twofold. The first part aims at clarifying different models of migration policy available within research of political science. The second part of the study applies the identified models onto an analysis of the official report ?Integrationens svarta bok? and the suggestions the reports presents. The findings of the study are multiple.

This thesis has aimed to study steering process and institutionalization in the context of educational policy work. This has been conducted by using empirical material from the political decision-making process that preceded the implementation of a new national program on how principals should be educated and certified. By using an aggregated theoretical point of view containing new institutionalism and traditional Swedish curriculum theory, the process was analyzed from different perspectives. The results depict a process that contained several actors who tried to shape the principal education program differently. From the theoretical perspectives, the decision-making process could be understood as an act of both self-interest as well as trust in their own beliefs and cultural values.

The legitimacy of the European Union is being questioned, and this has put focus on the democratic deficit, as the main reason for the negative outcome of the referendum about implementing the last initiated treaties of the union. In this essay the credibility of the problem solving strategy through the communication policy of the commission is being put under the scope. The objective is to treat the credibility of the solution to the main problems of the EU as an important part of how the democratic, political system works and how it deals with taking care of its? supporting and demanding channels of communication. The importance of a citizen platform to form common interests and a strictly European dialogue using media, common debates and several other possible ways to advocate this solution throughout the whole union is stressed here..

The purpose of this thesis is to explain why states obtain nuclear weapons and the role variousactors and interests play in the making of states´ nuclear policies. The main questions are asfollows: (1) What big theories exist concerning states obtaining nuclear weapon and nucleararmament in International Relations and what relevance do they have of the post cold-war period?,(2) What is the meaning of the perspective of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC)?, and (3)Arethere empirical studies which supports the existence of a MIC in the United States?The focus lies on actors and driving forces that are internal to states and it is also important toinvestigate if the theories have relevance for the post 9/11-era. The study uses the method ofqualitative literature-study with some quantitative segments. It is claimed that states might beinterested in justifying their behaviour in a morally appealing way and that real reasons may behidden.

SammanfattningDet är svårt för företag att konkurrera i dagens föränderliga värld där globalisering och ny teknologi driver på vikten av att vara konkurrenskraftig. Företagsledare har insett vikten av att ha en väl fungerande supply chain, där inköpare har visat sig spela en väldigt stor roll. Det är en av orsakerna till att inköpsfunktionen gått från att vara en ren administrativ funktion, till att vara mer strategisk. De behöver hantera en mängd olika processer och ta många viktiga beslut, som har betydelse för hela organisationen. Om skickligheten hos inköparna har betydelse för hur processerna och besluten hanteras, kan det i sin tur påverka hela organisationen.

Uppsatsen handlar om ränta. Varför finns det ränta och vilka faktorer påverkar räntenivån? Uppsatsen är dels doktrinhistorisk men också något nyskapande. Den ?nyskapande? teorin läggs fram i all ödmjukhet, och är snarare att betrakta som en sammanställning av tidigare insikter.

Tobaksbruk är förknippat med ohälsa, stor risk finns att drabbas av följdsjukdomar. Syftet var att beskriva distriktssköterskors erfarenheter och upplevelser av att arbeta med tobaksavväjning i grupp. En studie med kvalitativ ansats och deskriptiv design har gjorts. Åtta distriktssköterskor som arbetar med tobaksavväjning i grupp har intervjuats. Materialet har analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

The purpose of this Masters-thesis is to examine the impact of identity politics on (a) Turkey's foreign policy towards Europe and the EU, and (b) Europe's/EU's political attitude towards Turkey, and what implications this may have on a possibly future Turkish membership in the EU. It is a more interpreting thesis than it is an explaining one. The examination shows that Turkey has considered Europe as a political model, while Europe has used the muslime Turkey as a threat to determine its own identity. The negotiations between EU and Turkey this autumn will have great impact on the identity of both sites. If the EU accepted Turkey as a member, the union could gain a chance to spread democracy to the islamic world and thereby earn global respect.
