The purpose of this thesis is to identify the factors that drive efficiency and effectiveness in technical development projects performed at A?F?s department of product development. In Addition to identifying and analyzing these factors, the thesis also analyzes what needs to be taken in to account in order to implement a measurement system that is able to both monitor and control the identified factors.The thesis has been performed in a qualitative manner. It is based on interviews with people from several different technological companies, within different lines of business, all of which are customers to A?F?s department of product development.The results show that there are seven critical factors for project efficiency and effectiveness.

The present study is primarily of historiographical type, but also uses comparative method and qualitative text analysis. It mainly aims to explore how Germany and the issue of guilt have been portrayed in Swedish and German nonfiction literature (excluding teaching materials) during the years 1996-2010, in the context of the Holocaust, but also makes a comparison between these two countries' depictions. Furthermore, it also examines whether it is possible to link the various depictions to specific theories, in this case determinism together with the actor and structural perspectives, as well as to other potential factors such as the authors' personal connections to the Holocaust or the millennium. In Addition, overall trends is an aspect which is examined. Despite the fact that the Holocaust has been the subject of extensive research, no study with the same selection as this one has been carried out before.

Phenylbutazone has been discussed in the world of the equestrian sport several times and different countries have diverse opinions on its use in competitions. The progressive list that permits phenylbutazone with plasma levels up to 8 µg/ml was presented at the FEI General Assembly in November 2009. The list was voted to be accepted, but later several countries realized the consequences and after protests the list was rejected and is going to be discussed again at the FEI General Assembly 2010. In this literature study I have studied the relationship between the concentrations of phenylbutazone in plasma and the effects on lameness. The purpose was to establish whether the limit of 8 µg/ml phenylbutazone in plasma affects the equestrian sport.

Aluminium sulphate (Al2(SO4)3) is usually added during the drinking water treatment processin order to precipitate organic and inorganic material, resulting in aluminium-based drinkingwater treatment residual sludge (WTR). Since 2003 Swedish law no longer permits WTR tobe deposited in lakes, and there is an interest to explore the possibility to utilize WTR as soilamendment. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of WTR application on cropgrowth and concentrations of macronutrients and trace elements (including micronutrients andpotential toxic elements). The purpose of this thesis has been to gather knowledge about the complaints of tying-up in horses and to show that the importance of feeding. The thesis includes a literature review of tying-up how preventative measures by feeding can be made. In the equine sport, crosscountry, horses occasionally suffers from tying-up, a muscle disease. An increased knowledge about the disease is demanded by riders and trainers as the disease disrupts training and competition of suffered horses. A cross-country horse works very hard in training and during competitions but the work bouts are long enough for the muscle cells to use aerobic pathways in the metabolism.

Passive houses are a relatively new concept in Sweden and by that it is meant a house without a traditional heating system. The most acknowledged passive house project is the terrace houses in Lindås, Gothenburg, which we have used as a reference. This project concerns a square apartment block. So far, no square apartment block has been built as a passive house in Sweden.The common opinion in the construction industry is that it is not economical to build extremely energy efficient houses. This study discusses the relationship between studies and part-time work. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of why students enrolled in the programme of human resource management and working life choose to undertake part time work, specifically in the human resource business in such great extent while studying full time and what this means for the students regard gaining knowledge. It focuses on the students experience and in order to gain the understanding of this phenomenon three qestion formulations were formed; ?What are the reasons formed by the interviewed human resource-students for having part-time work in the human resource bransch, in Addition to their full-time studies??, "What values are made visible regarding the students choices of having a part-time work in Addition to their full-time studies?" and ?How does the students express the thought about their part-time work as a key to learn from their studies?? The empirical data were collected through interviews with eight branch-specific human resource-students. The data was analysed based on previous research and a theoretical framework consisting of Lave & Wenger's theory of communities of practice and John Deweys theory of learning by doing.

Lining techniques such as nap bonding and mist lining were developed in the late 20th century and have gained popularity alongside with the increased use of acrylic emulsions as adhesives. The ability of the adhesive to create a nap bond to the canvases without penetrating the fibers has shown advantages regarding reversibility. In Addition, the use of moisture, heat and pressure is reduced, which can be advantageous for more sensitive paintings. These lining techniques have been included in several studies where reversibility, minimal intervention and respect for the individual requirements and problems of each object have been the focus.
