Detta var resultatet efter ett arbete som påbörjades redan 2005 då kommunfullmäktige i Umeå fattade beslutet att ansöka om titeln då detta var ett sätt att skapa marknadsföring för Umeå och lyfta dess kulturimage. På detta sätt skulle Umeå nå en ökad ekonomisk tillväxt och stolthet över staden. SAMMANFATTNING Uppskattningsvis transporteras 171 miljoner grisar inom EU varje år, varav ca 3,5 miljoner i Sverige. Grisarna kommer, under hela förloppet från förflyttningen från box i stallet till bedövningen i slakteriet, att utsättas för stressande moment. Orsakerna är bland annat omgrupperingar, nya miljöer, vibrationer i bilen samt, speciellt under sommaren, värmestress. Temperaturen i djurtransportbilen är en nyckelfaktor som dessutom kan förstärka effekten av andra stressorer. Lastning i höga temperaturer ökar risken för värmestress. Värmestress innebär att djuren får allt svårare att avge sin värme. Även den relativa luftfuktigheten har betydelse, framförallt vid temperaturer över 30°C. Det är ventilationen i transportbilen som ska transportera bort värme och fukt från bilen.

I detta projekt presenteras förbättringsförslag för Carlsbergs pallhantering. Carlsberg har sedan en tid tillbaka haft problem med sin pallhantering. Ca 40 000 pallar som skickas ut returneras aldrig från kund. Detta leder till förluster för företaget då företaget tvingas köpa nya pallar då brist uppstår. Ett annat problem är att det ej finns något tillförlitligt system för att se hur många pallar som egentligen existerar inom företaget eller vilken typ av pallar det är. Uppgiften är att identifiera de största problemområdena och komma med förslag på åtgärder för dessa. Under projektarbetets gång har det framkommit att rutiner för pallhantering finns på de flesta anläggningar men att många av rutinerna ej efterföljs.

The project will give answers to questions regarding if an analysis of satellite images can be used to contact and inform landowners of the located areas where precommercial thinning is useful. The whole project is a part of the National Board of Forestrys IT-stake where the analysis of satellite images will, at the latitudes possible, be adapted to each district in purpose to identify these areas in need of precommercial thinning. BVDV occurs as two biotypes; cytopathic (BVDVcp) and noncytopathic (BVDVncp) determined by differential effects on cultured cells and can also be divided into two genotypes (BVDV1 and BVDV2) on the basis of genomic diversity. The interaction between BVDV and the host?s immune system is regarded a key aspect in the sequel of BVDV infection. Infection with BVDV normally causes an acute transient infection, with mild to subclinical signs, but occasionally results in severe and even fatal disease.

Det finns en intressemotsättning mellan mediernas kritiska granskande funktion och organisationers strävan att ge en positiv bild av sig själva. Syftet med denna uppsats var därför att undersöka mediebilderna av två organisationer, Mittuniversitetet och Scan AB, och ta reda på i vilken grad de själva, genom pressmeddelanden påverkat vad som skrivs om dem.

He met representatives of the Swedish Church, which was engaged in issues related to ecumenism, resistance and peacework. Although the persons he met were representatives of the Swedish Church they sometimes acted as individuals with a Christian philosophy.

This study examines how masculinity is portrayed in podcasts. Our original materialconsisted of four episodes of C/o Hannah & Amanda and four episodes of Filip &Fredrik's podcast. We analyzed the programs both individually and in comparison toeach other. Using a rhetorical analysis, we found that the perception of men in thepodcasts conforms to societal norms.
