The purpose of this essay is to examine for the age discrimination towards older people in the working life. The essay practice EU-law and national law to examine the age discrimination. It also looks for the limits towards age discrimination. A presentation of the rules will make it easier to see how employers are possible to get around the ban against age discrimination. The most common reason for a horse owner to seek veterinary care for their horse is related to the musculoskeletal system. Assessment of the horse's movement pattern is essential in the equine veterinary work. How uniformly veterinarians evaluate the lame horse may have both diagnostic and prognostic significance, such as follow up examination by the same or different veterinarian. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether there are between-veterinarian differences in assessing lameness in the same horse. In total 12 veterinarians evaluated 80 video sequences of 4 horses with induced lameness and made an evaluation of the affected limb as well as the degree of lameness.

Den 5 februari 2009 kablade media ut den video som i en handvändning kom att påverka hela den svenska poliskåren. Under det rättsliga efterspelet efter höstens kravaller i Rosengård framkom en videosekvens i vilken två polismän uttrycker såväl kränkande som rasistiska kommentarer om aktivisterna. Detta avslöjande ledde till att media började ifrågasätta hur allmänhetens tilltro till polisen ser ut, och hur det har påverkats av händelserna i Rosengård.I denna rapport presenteras hur man inom polismyndigheterna i Stockholms län och Västra Götalands län valt att angripa problematiken kring allmänhetens förtroende för polisen.Den mest uppenbara skillnaden som vi kunnat konstatera är att man i Stockholms län satsar på en utbyggnad av så kallade lokala postkontor, medan man i Västra Götalands län valt att fokusera på den enskilde polismannens synbarhet och närvaro. Båda arbetssätten har dock samma målsättning, att synas och integreras i övriga samhället för att därigenom öka förtroendet bland medborgarna..

Mass distribution with techniques as multicast and peer-to-peer are becoming increasingly important in the Internet. Today the distribution of sound and video over Internet, so called streaming media, is static due to the unicast method. This results in a linear increase of distribution costs and therefore no conditions for commercial scalability. This thesis describes why multicast may be the only scalable alternative for commercial mass distribution of streaming media over Internet. Mass distribution through peer-to-peer technology promises a lot but is fronting a couple of great challenges, for example asymmetric bandwidth, locality and legalization.

Voice over IP (VoIP) is a relatively new technology that enables voice calls over data networks.With VoIP it is possible to lower expenses, and increase functionality and flexibility. FromSwedish Armed Forces point of view, the security issue is of great importance, why the focus inthis report is on the security aspect of the two most common open-source VoIP-protocols H.323and SIP, some of the most common attacks, and counter-measures for those attacks.Because of the level of complexity with a network running H.323 or SIP, and the fact that it hasyet to stand the same level of trial as of traditional telephony, a VoIP-system includes manyknown security-issues, and probably at present many unknown security flaws.The conclusion is that it takes great knowledge and insight about a VoIP-network based onH.323 or SIP to make the network satisfyingly safe as it is today, and is therefore perhaps not asuitable solution for the Swedish Armed Forces today for their more sensitive communications..

This report is the result of an investigation of the possibility to use RFID-technology in a producing company. The investigation is focused on a flow between the company?s producing subsidiary company in Lithuania and its main facility in Sweden.RFID is the abbreviation for radiofrequency identification. The RFID-technology forms the base of a system with wireless information transmission between an object to which a transponder, also called tag, has been attached and a reader. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur lärare och elever på musik- eller kulturskola kommunicerar med varandra i enskild undervisning med fiol som instrument. Med hjälp av videoobservation som metod har tre lärare och deras elever observerats. Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkter utgörs av ett designteoretiskt och multimodalt perspektiv. I resultatet framkommer att lärarna använder sig av ett flertal olika kommunikationssätt i sin undervisning.
