In this composition we will treat issues about intercultural approach and managing diversity in Swedish municipal/public school. This survey includes several theories and conceptions as ethnicity, culture, multiplicity/managing diversity and intercultural approach/multiculturalism.We studied two different schools and their awareness concerning intercultural approach and managing diversity . The study is concentrating on two schools in two different communities. One of the schools had a greater ethnic multiplicity than the other school, and therefore, we thought, it seemed easier for them to accept an intercultural approach and managing diversity. But that was not the whole truth.

Det här arbete behandlar grunderna i penetrationstestning, vilket är en metod föratt kontrollera säkerheten i datorer och nätverk genom att försöka sätta in sig isamma tankesätt och metoder som en potentiell angripare kan ha.Den teoritiska delen går igenom processen för hur ett penetrationstest kan gå tilloch vad som är viktigt att veta och att tänka på under penetrationstestet.Det presenteras även några populära och användbara verktyg som kananvändas för penetrationstestning, nämligen Nmap, Backtack, Nessus ochMetasploit, samt en nogrann beskrivning av några av de mest vanligtvisförekommande allvarliga sårbarheterna.I genomförandedelen utförs ett penetrationstest i en labmiljö, och sätter då deninformation i den teoritiska delen i praktik. De verktygen som används gåsigenom mer detaljerat och olika metoder för att använda dessa verktyg ipenetrationstestningssyfte testas.Penetrationstestet gås igenom stegvis, och börjar med att hitta maskiner pånätverket och även hitta detaljerad information och möjligheter för angrepp. Deninformationen används sedan för att hitta sårbarheter i maskinerna, och slutligenutnyttjas dessa sårbarheter för att installera ett remote-Access program och gekontrollen till den angripande datorn..

I och med att konkurrensen är hård mellan idrottsklubbar så är det viktigt att uppträda professionellt för att locka publik till sitt idrottsarrangemang. En del av detta är att ta hand om besökare på ett snabbt och smidigt sätt. Denna rapport beskriver hur vi gick tillväga för att skapa ett biljettförsäljningssystem åt Bodens ishockeyklubb. Det är tänkt att programmet ska användas i Björknäshallen, vilken är Bodens IK´s hemma arena. Som det fungerar nu så markerar de på papper vilka platser som säljs och skriver sedan ut biljetten för hand.

Organic rearing of broilers is not a large production in Sweden. In order to create a sustainable yet efficient production of organically produced poultry meat, at a price that the consumers are willing to pay, much more knowledge is needed. It is therefore important to do more research on organic broilers under Swedish conditions. This report is aimed to be a base for further studies. In the study 2000 broilers of the hybrid Ross 308 divided in to two equal groups. The broiler hybrids that are used in Sweden are selected for a high growth rate and are normally slaughtered at the age of 5 to 6 weeks, with a slaughter weight of 1.7-2 kg.

This study is about youths, democracy and school. It seeks to describe and problemize the school's role in the democratic society. Firstly, using Social Representations Theory, 44 upper secondary shool pupils? representations, or conceptions, of democracy are described and discussed. These representations are then analyzed in relation to the school's role in the democratic society, as it is described by different researchers.The results show that many of the youths have a rather simplistic and abstract view of democracy, describing it only in terms of general principles and the main features of the representative democracy, such as voting in national elections.

Previous research shows that individuals who are regarded as beautiful get a better assessment than those who are considered to be ugly or mediocre looking, but if this can be prevented through awareness, the problem can easily be counteracted. The purpose of this thesis is to, through an experimental study, investigate whether recruiters can avoid being affected by the applicant?s appearance in the assessment of their CV if they receive information about the stereotypical thinking that is tied to a person's appearance.

How can the object based art help us, as viewers and as makers, to Access a supplanted emotional state?One way of positioning yourself within the corpus-field is to step outside the traditional borders of the field and aim for other values within the objects, such as a visible working process, a storytelling or an emotional relationship to the object.  It is a way of taking a step from the traditional silversmithing towards some kind of free undefined corpus-art.  To reach for suppressed feelings is one way to find an importance within the artistic work, to give it a purpose.By investigating the concept of the sublime and the surrealist movement I try to find examples on how you, both as a viewer and as a maker, can put yourself in an emotional/intuitive state.  Through interviews with Jewellery and corpus artists I get a maker?s perspective which I compare with my own reactions to their work.Works of art can be used as a catalyst to reach, and maybe also to process, unattended feelings. This creates a strong emotional connection to the work.  As a maker you can, for example, do this by working with it as a theme, or by using an intuitive working method.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the flow of information in an administration of the municipality Borås Stad. To achieve the aim the following questions were asked: How Accessible is information? How is information used in the organisation? How is information communicated? Totally sixteen qualitative interviews was accomplished with employees at the administration. The results of the interviews show that there is a difference in how much and what sort of information the respondents use. They all seem to prefer information to be communicated face to face if possible or over the phone.

The explosion of new digital media puts pressure for developments within copyright law both in Sweden and internationally. These developments are taking place on two different international areas: (1) WIPO which is a part of the UN family and (2) the EU where a new directive on copyright law is being prepared and probably implemented during 2001. The aim of this thesis is twofold: (1) to study which considerations libraries must make when handling the new digital media both under today's copyright laws and under those which are being developed internationally. (2) What will be the consequences, for Swedish libraries, if the new EU-directive on copyright law is implemented in Sweden? By analysing current copyright laws, international treaties and the proposal for a new EU-directive as well as the national debate the thesis brings attention to a number of central issues for libraries.

Sexual harassments have since long been an issue all over the world and schools have not been an exception. Reports from Swedish secondary schools show how 47% of the female pupils state that they have, sometime during their time in school, been the victim of sexual harassment. Other studies claim that pupils exposed to sexual harassments will develop low self-esteem and a decreased sense of self. The Swedish curriculum state that all children shall have the right to a harassment free school environment, but still many pupils claim to be exposed to sexual harassment in school. Several studies have theorized about why sexual harassment is so prevalent in schools but what do the pupils think? This study aims to reveal and analyze pupil opinions about sexual harassment; what do they think it is and why do they think it occurs? This will be done from a post-structural feminist point of view with focus on the shaping of identity among the respondents.

Problem: I uppsatsen undersöks vilka möjligheter och hot mobiltelefonibranschen i Sverige står inför när 3G-teknikens införs. Vidare undersöks hur en nätaktör som Hi 3G Access AB kan vinna varaktiga konkurrensfördelar på denna marknad. Slutligen undersöks hur införandet av ny teknik, 3G-tekniken, påverkar affärsmöjligheterna i branschen på ett mer teoretiskt plan. Metod:Studien genomförs som en kvalitativ fallstudie. Teoretiska perspektiv: I studien används Porters teori om branschanalys samt Barneys teori om resursers betydelse för att nå varaktiga konkurrensfördelar.

In today?s society more and more activities are digitalized. This means that everyone has to be able to use information and communication tools (ICT) in order to take part in the digital world, otherwise they will be left out of the digital community. There is a so called digital gap between for instance elderly and young people, where elderly do not know how to use the tools and there for cannot gain Access to the digital society. What happens when people, not only grow old, but also have a communication disorder, such as aphasia? How are they included? The purpose of this study is to investigate whether or not surf pads are good tools for bridging the digital gap for people with aphasia, and which activities and situations that encourages people with aphasia to work with the surf pad.

This Masters thesis work describes a comparison between two different methods for estimation of the down channel (base station to mobile subscriber) in Wide-band Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA). The first estimation method, Optimal Feed-forward Channel Estimation (OFCE), is a conventional method that bases the estimates on data that is known to both sender and receiver, so called pilots. The second method, Decision Directed Channel Estimation (DDCE), is an elaboration of OFCE. It also uses user data for estimation. Simulations show that DDCE, in comparison to OFCE, does not attain an improvement in signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) for high bit error rates (BER).

The differences between the sexes when it comes to land and property ownership are enormous. This paper deals with issues concerning women's land and property rights. The aim of the study is to investigate what general factors are effecting women's Access to and control of land. In addition, this paper aims to explore the effects of liberal formalism in relation to gender equality and the distribution of land. Formalism and formalization of women's land rights alone won't lead to equality in land distribution or women's emancipation.

Bakgrund: I Sverige är kärnfamiljen än så länge den vanligaste familjeformen men det blir allt vanligare med separationer och därmed bildas nya familjekonstellationer. Familjer bryter upp och nya par flyttar samman. Hur påverkar de nya strukturerna barnen?I samtal med pedagoger i verksamheten har det kommit till vår kännedom att ämnet skilsmässa är ?tabubelagt?. Pedagogerna vet inte riktigt hur man ska närma sig problemet, personalen vill vara ett stöd men är rädd för att ?lägga sig i?.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur pedagoger anser att barn, vars föräldrar skilt sig, borde bemötas samt att se om det finns någon skillnad i synen på bemötandet, pedagogkategorier emellan.Metod: För att uppnå syftet har vi valt att göra en kvantitativ enkätundersökning med 13 påståenden med fasta svarsalternativ, varav sju stycken redovisas i uppsatsen, samt en öppen fråga.Resultat: Vi har kommit fram till att pedagogerna anser att det är viktigt att föräldrarna meddelar om att de ska separera för att enklare kunna anpassa elevens individuella planering.
