In my thesis I have chosen to examine pre-school from a gender perspective, focusing on the current norms of society that are also influencing pre-school. My thesis is written in the form of an essay, which means that reflections are a substantial part, and writing has become a part of my process of learning. My thesis originates in three different situations that I have experienced during the years I have been working in the pre-school. These situations show how I, as a pre-school educator, unconsciously am a part of creating norms, patterns and gender. The curriculum of the pre-school has been the basis of this thesis, and an important part has been to interpret what the mission of pre-school is in practice.I start by explaining the concepts of sex, gender and norms, and continue by describing how preschool can be viewed as an institution preserving the norms.

The purpose of this study was to explore the use of a blog in the classroom. This paper describes why the teacher created the blog and how the blog is used by teachers and pupils in and outside the classroom. The study also describes teachers? thoughts regarding future use of the blog. Seven primary school teachers were interviewed and the material was analysed using a multimodal design theoretical perspective on learning (Selander & Kress 2010).The conclusion of the study was that the teachers created and designed blogs to give parents, pupils, relatives and others an opportunity to have an insight into the pupils? school day.

The parrot is a common symbol, or even cliché, in Western literature, going all the way back fromancient Greece to the present date, and in many a genre. This study reads the oeuvre of the NobelPrize winner Samuel Beckett (1906-1989) as being closely related to these certain traditions andconnotations of for example religion, satire, and speaking nonsense, in his frequent use of parrotsand their symbolic potentials, in his writing. Furthermore, it is possible to distinguish a movementin Beckett?s use of parrots, from a more or less traditionally use, to one more philosophicallyprofound.Although the parrot graces us with its presence (or at least may be traced) in almost everywork written by Beckett, from the poem ?Whoroscope? (1930) to How It Is (1961), they are onlymentioned sparsely by his interpreters. Therefore, a brief history of the literary tradition of theparrot will be expounded.

This bachelor essay aims to illuminate different images and ideas about Bellevue industrial area.The area is situated in a district in Gothenburg, called Gamlestaden, where Bellevue industrialarea is a former industrial area, today mostly used by minor occupations. The district is facing amajor transformation, based on a detailed master plan. One aim is to create a district with mixedfunctions; like residences, businesses, offices, services and cultural activities all together. Thisessay is based mainly from a user perspective, but it also has the perspective from the ideas andvisions by the City Planning Office.The material is mainly based on interviews with seven informants, representing different kinds ofoccupations in the area. One interview is also made with a city planner.

Background: The construction industry is Sweden?s single most important industry branch with a significant influence on Sweden?s wealth. The political restrictions that once controlled the industry are today almost gone. This combined with an unbalanced supply and demand situation on the Swedish constructions market, caused by urbanisation, has led to increased pressure on the Swedish construction companies who now are forced to find new methods in their struggle to contain or increase their competitive advantage. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to survey: which strategic variables are of great importance in today?s Swedish construction industry with focus on the four main actors, JM, NCC, PEAB and Skanska.

The current study aimed to test the public self-consciousness impact on creative performance. An experimental design was used in which 40 participants were randomly assigned to two groups, one of which was the experimental group and the other was the control group. A mirror was used in the experimental group to induce public self-consciousness among the participants while they performed creativity tests. A consequence test was used where the participant had to give suggestions for the given scenario "What would happen if everyone became blind?" which was then measured in the number of proposals (fluency).

Denna studie behandlar arbetet av laborativ matematik för grundskolans senare år. Enligt läroplanen och kursplanen är undervisningens syfte att utveckla elevers kunskaper om matematikens användning både i vardagliga situationer och inom andra ämnesområden. Undervisningen ska även bidra till att elever kan reflektera över matematikens användning i vardagslivet. Många elever är idag omotiverade, uttråkade och har tappat lusten för att lära, vilket kan bero på att lärobokstyrd undervisning domineras i grundskolans senare år. Studien är ett konsumtionsinriktat arbete med litteraturstudie som metod.

Att en organisation fattar beslut om överordnade mål och strategier innebär i sig inte något organisatoriskt lärande. För att möjliggöra en integration av uppställda mål och strategier så att dessa genomsyrar organisationen behöver det ske en process - ett organisatoriskt lärande. Vi har i denna uppsats studerat hur denna process går till i organisationen Lunds universitet, när det gäller integration av mål och strategier rörande ledarskap och hur universitetet i denna process tillvaratar individuell kunskap och kompetens så att organisationen får en högre kompetens och därmed en ökad möjlighet att nå uppställda mål. Vi har utgått från litteratur kring organisatoriskt lärande, där vi gjort en sammanställning av de teorier och den forskning som vi anser har relevans för vår frågeställning. Ur dessa har vi tagit fram följande kriterier för organisatoriskt lärande: kommunikation, tillgängliggörande, reflektion och samsyn och integration.

Denna uppsats belyser vad som är utmärkande för en tysk myndighetstext om EU som är skriven för Internet och vilka översättningsproblem som kan uppstå i arbetet med att överföra den tyska källtexten till målspråket svenska. Uppsatsens empiriska undersökning tar upp vilka rekommendationer svenska klarspråksregler ger om hur framförställda attributiva satsförkortningar, pronominaladverb och relativpronomen ska skrivas på svenska. Hypotesen för uppsatsen är att en översättning ibland kan bli tydligare och klarare i sitt språk om man ibland avviker från de moderna klarspråksreglerna och istället använder sig av äldre stilideal. Genom att undersöka hur konstruktionerna har översatts från tyska till svenska förs en diskussion om när klarspråksreglerna är tillämpbara och när det är motiverat att avvika från dem för att få en så klar och tydlig översättning som möjligt.Examensarbetet på Facköversättarutbildningen vid Lunds universitet är uppdelat i en översättning (10 p.) och en analysdel (10 p.). Silviculture in young stands in Sweden is below the mark concerning what has to be done in the forest, and it is time to solve the problem. The problem will not be solved only by the private forest owners, professional help is needed. Skogsägarna Mellanskog is one of four forest unions in Sweden who wants to play a role and take responsibility for forestry in the middle of Sweden. This academic essay is based on a market survey sent to 350 forest owners in the Örebro district. 186 of them answered the questions, giving a response frequence of 53 percentage. The purpose of the essay is to find the determining factors which will make a forest owner to find a collaborator when planning and carrying out the silviculture measures in young stands. The result of the survey shows that the forest owners are anxious about the price and the costs. The costs have a severe effect if the silviculture measures in young stands will be carried out or not.

Social media has today reached a level of maturity similar to the Internet in the beginning of the millennium. More and more people get involved both on a private and professional level and companies are starting to realize the need to keep up with the new online behavior of its target groups. The Investor Relations(IR) function has for a very long time been carried out by writing reports and press releases, but maybe as times change so will the tools needed to communicate the IR-issues for the companies? The purpose of this paper was to examine the views on and involvement in social media for IR-purposes at the four main banks in Sweden: Nordea, SEB, Handelsbanken and Swedbank. The study was carried out in the form of a qualitative case study in which the banks were analyzed separately with the help of Davids and Venkateshs TAM2-model(2000) and also analyzed against one another.

While leaning on reception theory andtheories about different ways of reading as well as the autobiography as a genre I have asked myself the following questions:Which factors have led critics as well as the public opinion to speak about Maja Lundgrens Myggor och tigrar and Lars Noréns En dramatikers dagbok as controversial?What do the two books have in common and what separates them?How does the debate differ regarding the two books and what is the cause for that difference in reception?My essay shows that when reading an autobiography or a diary most people cannot separate the book from the author and the life that the book is a reflection of.
