"Nu kommer hunden!" : Aktionsforskning om barn som lÀser för hundar med syfte att utveckla lÀsstunderna pÄ svenska bibliotek
This masterŽs thesis in Library and Information Science examines the experiences of children who read to a dog. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the interactions between the librarian, the readingdog-handler, the child-ren and the dogs and what the benefits from the interactions might be. The aim is also to examine how the child-ren express their literacy during the readingsessions and how to develop the readingsessions at a specific library. The author follows a reading dog project for seven weeks, in collaboration with a specific school and library. Action research was used as a research strategy, and since action research is done on the basis of practice, a coll-laboration with the participating children, the librarian and the readingdog-handler was significant in this study. The theoretical framework concists of theory and concepts from the sociocultural theory developed by Ro-ger SÀljö, and human-animal studies with concepts from Donna Haraway.

Parallella vÀrldar : Pedagog i en segregerad förort
In my essay, I write about the work at a pre-school in a segregated suburb. I begin my essay with examples from my workday. In one case, it is about Sara, playing games where other children are excluded and she also exhibits a power game towards me. In the second example, it is about how a group of children conspire and expose both themselves and others for destructive conspiracy patterns. When I write down what happens in the group of children at my pre-school, I see patterns reminiscent of destructive gangs.

Hegemoniska och icke-hegemoniska maskuliniteter - En kritisk diskursanalys av politiska texters och unga m?ns perspektiv p? v?ld i utsatta omr?den
There is a lack of consensus within politics on how to deal with the so-called youth problem
that exists in vulnerable areas. The politicians' positions are communicated in speech and
writing and influence the majority society's attitude to children in vulnerable areas. Children
are at the same time a vulnerable group in society. They are dependent on adults and need
their guidance and support throughout their upbringing. In vulnerable areas live children
whose health is affected by social and economic vulnerability and discrimination from the
outside world.
By looking into how hegemonic masculinity as norms are formulated in Swedish political
documents, in relation to experiences of stigmatization and violence among children from
vulnerable areas, this study wishes to examine if children?s right to a life without violence is
being respected in vulnerable areas.

Lean i SjukvÄrden : Ett tillÀmpat verktyg eller en symbol?
In this text I will work on three situations from my daily work as a pedagogue at preschool. The situations are about how pedagogues at preschool relate to children in difficult situations, e.g. when they pee in their pants or long for their pacifier. Those are situations which occur frequently at preschool, but they are still rarely coming up for discussions. The problem in the situations is difficult to describe which makes the essay a suitable form for me to explore and discuss it.
