The purpose of this essay was to review the literature and describe the patophysiology, diagnosis, microscopic and macroscopic appearance of aortic body tumors in dogs. The tumors originate from the chemoreceptor organs situated at the base of the heart. The chemoreceptor organs are neuroendocrine cells responsible for surveillance of changes in e.g. the blood pH. Aortic body tumors are rare and represent 7 % of the total cases of primary cardiac tumors in canines.

Blekinge Hospital suffers from a budget shortage of 100 million SEK, while the government now requires that hospitals will no longer be running a deficit. Blekinge Hospital will then use their limited resources to survive in the future and the activity must be enhanced in order to keep costs low without having to lay off personnel. The idea is that the organisation should be more efficient with a more efficient resource usage. Performance measurement systems are important tools for achieving the policies set out within an organization, measuring and evaluating performance is a way to see where improvements in efficiency may be necessary in the business. Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is one of several measuring systems, where the focus is on measuring non-financial performances.

Vårt syfte är att undersöka motivet till att en socialarbetare väljer att ta med hästen som del i sitt arbete. Detta försökte vi finna svar på genom intervjuer med sex stycken utövare av hästunderstött socialt arbete (HUSA). Vår tanke var att försöka förstå varför man väljer att tillföra hästen i ett redan komplext område. Det vi ville få reda på var vilka faktorer som är avgörande för valet att arbeta med häst? Vilka kunskaper ligger till grund för valet att arbeta med HUSA? Och Påverkar tidigare erfarenheter valet att börja arbeta med HUSA? Vårt datamaterial vi fått ut av de semi-strukturerade intervjuerna har vi sedan tolkat utifrån den tidigare forskningen men också genom perspektiv som beskriver komplexiteten i socialt arbete, kunskap och kunskapsformer men också evidensbaserad praktik.

 Syftet med denna uppsats är att se om det finns ett samband mellan fysisk aktivitet och koncentrationsförmåga samt att utreda om det kan vara bra för barn och ungdomar med koncentrationssvårigheter att ha mer idrott i skolan. I den teoretiska bakgrunden redogör vi framförallt för begreppen fysisk aktivitet, koncentrationsförmåga och koncentrationssvårigheter. Vi redovisar för forskning kring ADHD och DAMP, eftersom dessa diagnoser innebär svåra koncentrationssvårigheter. Många forskare anser att fysisk aktivitet eller motorisk träning på olika sätt kan ha en positiv påverkan på koncentrationsförmågan men det verkar råda olika meningar kring hur mycket och vilken typ av fysisk aktivitet som är effektiv. För att besvara vårt syfte har vi med hjälp av enkäter frågat elever om fysisk aktivitet och koncentrationsförmåga under teoretiska lektioner. Vi har även intervjuat en speciallärare om hennes arbete och om hennes syn på fysisk aktivitet och koncentrationsförmåga.

Bakgrund: AD/HD innebär en funktionsnedsättning med kärnsymptom som ouppmärksamhet, hyperaktivitet och impulsivitet. Personer med AD/HD har också ofta problem med känsloreglering. Intensiv dynamisk korttidsterapi (ISTDP) syftar till att hjälpa patienter till ökad förmåga att uppleva komplexa känslor genom att medvetandegöra dem. Terapiformens utgångspunkt är att många patienters problem skapas av känslomässigt undvikande och den betonar värdet av upplevelse av känslor i terapirummet.Studien syftade till att undersöka effekten av ISTDP på symtomen hos patienter med AD/HD som ett komplement till sedvanlig medicinbehandling. Frågan var om behandling riktad mot känsloreglering påverkar den globala symptombilden för personer med AD/HD.Metod: Studien är en naturalistisk pilotstudie med sex patienter som fick 10 sessioners behandling med ISTDP.

Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is a common disease worldwide. The disease is described as a chronic inflammation that afflicts mainly the joints, the tendrons and the synovial joint. The inflammation breaks down cartilage, ligaments and bone. When the patient gets the diagnosis he/she frequently reacts with chock, denial or/and dissociation. Active support from the nurse can have an important impact on the patient in accepting and processing that he/she suffers from disease.

The birth of a child marks a new era for the parents. It is the beginning of something that will never end, because they will always be the child´s parents. This study investigates what happens when an infant is born whit Downs syndrome (Ds), and thus does not resemble the child the parents had expected. The purpose of this literature study was to describe the information and the support that the parents of a newborn child with Ds think that they need. The literature search was made in the database of Medline (via Pub Med), Academic Search Elite and manual search.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a relatively common endocrine disease in dogs and is more common in certain breeds than others, e.g. Nordic spitz breeds. Within the Swedish and Norwegian Elkhound population, female dogs are almost exclusively affected. The hypothesis in this study is that Swedish- and Norwegian Elkhounds develop DM during the progesterone phase of estrous (diestrous or pregnancy). Medical records from 51 female dogs of the breeds Swedish and Norwegian Elkhound were studied.

För en pedagog som har elever i verksamheten med dessa svårigheter skapas det dagligen problematiska situationer som påverkas av tid, material, ekonomi och acceptansen från klassen och skolan. Utöver detta vill vi lyfta fram möjligheterna som finns, vill vi utvecklas inom området och få en ökad förståelse för barn med diagnos, för att på bästa sätt kunna ge dessa barn en fullständig skolgång. Vår förhoppning är att kunna inkludera alla elever i den gemensamma skolan. Vi vill ta reda på om och hur det arbetas med att inkludera eleverna med dessa neuropsykiatriska diagnoser i verksamheten. Syftet är att ta reda på vilket stöd det finns för elever med ADHD och Aspergers syndrom att gå i en vanlig skola. Våra frågeställningar är:1.

The purpose of this study is to portray conflict managing associated with children in a small class and what problems they may face each day at school. What types of conflicts and what consequences do teachers practice? This study is based on these following questions:Is there any difference for solving/measure for students with psychosocial problems or ADHD in a conflict or does teachers still works with the same methods?What types of conflict solving does schools use?What is important to consider with students in a small class who has psychosocial problems and ADHD to prevent conflicts?Summary: To answer my questions in this study, I´ve used qualitative methods, interviews and observations. I have used my cellphone for recording the interviews so that all content from the informers are accurate. My theoretical points concerns on having strict rules both inside and outside the classroom.

Studien baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer som utförts vid tre olika organisationer i en större stad i Skåne. De fem informanterna som deltagit i studien är samtliga aktiva tjejgruppsledare vid sina verksamheter. Syftet har varit att undersöka hur arbetet i tjejgrupper bedrivs samt varför behovet av tjejgrupper finns ur ledarnas perspektiv. Intressant för oss att undersöka var huruvida tjejgruppen ansågs vara ett jämställdhetsprojekt, och om dessa grupper arbetar problematiserande med könsnormativitet. Under studiens fortskridande har det framkommit att begreppet tjejgrupper och vad dessa ska innefatta är komplext.
