The Swedish industrial society has left several areas with contaminated soil and water which today is of danger for the environment and human health. One of these areas with contaminated soil and water is the region where the former Glava glassworks operated during 1859 to 1939. The main object in this study has been to study the responsibility for the contaminations according to the Environmental Code. The method used is a qualitative content analysis of relevant literature to answer the following questions:What types of contaminations can be found in the area of Glava glasswork and what health issues can these cause?What kind of activity has been conducted in the area that have caused the contaminations in soil and water?According to law, what are the responsibilities for the contaminations in soil and water at Glava glassworks?The contamination in the region has been confirmed to originate from the glasswork due to the environmental engineering survey made in the area in 2009.

When all the votes where counted, the county of Skåne showed an exceptionally high support for the right wing nationalist party Sverigedemokraterna. Why then, did Sverigedemokraterna have a higher support among voters in Skåne (as part of the larger and transnational Öresund region), than among other Swedish voters? My hypothesis is the following: the regional interaction within Öresund has not only had positive effects concerning the values that the people of Skåne hold.

To invest money in funds is increasing rapidly in popularity and one of the biggest reasons is that banks are offering a greater range of funds. Information about funds is always easy to find and it is easy to invest money in a fund because the bank takes care of all the management of the fund.The essay examines two funds from two different countries with an aim to choose the one with best potential yield. The first fund is entirely invested in North America and the second fund invests in Asia, with most of its possessions in companies from China. Both these funds invest in wellknown companies in respective region. The essay is limited to compare these funds with data from 2005 to 2009.Information was collected from Morningstar and Avanza Bank for the quantitative examination.

Webben är idag en viktig kommunikationskanal, men för att kommunikationen skall fungera effektivt krävs kunskap om användarna ? Vilka är de man kommunicerar med? Vad har de för kunskaper, förväntningar och behov? Stora webbplatser innehåller mycket information och denna information måste struktureras för att folk enkelt skall kunna hitta den information de söker. Region Skåne lanserade år 2005 Vårdgivarwebben. En webbplats med syfte att förse alla vårdgivare i regionen med gemensam hälso- och sjukvårdsrelaterad information. Webbplatsen innehåller ett rikt och varierat informationsmaterial.

Detta examensarbete, på kandidatnivå med omfattning 15 högskolepoäng har pågått i tio veckor och har varit i samarbete med Region Gotland. Uppdraget har handlat om att ta fram en ny parkerings skylt för Visbys innerstad samt underlätta navigeringen i trafiken genom en parkerings app. Skylten och appen samspelas med varandra och skapar på så vis en helhet över trafikproblemen i Visby innerstad.Problemformuleringen i projektet har varit: ?Hur kan jag skapa ett nytt navigeringssätt för att underlätta trafik flödet i Visby samt utveckla en ny parkeringsskylt som enkelt kan uppfattas och samtidigt smälta in i den historiska miljön med rimlig kostnads insatser för Region Gotland??Jag har genom studier på färg, form, funktion analyserat och kommit fram till en grafisk symbol, med ett färgval som är igenkännbart till skyltar relaterat till parkerings automater anpassad för Visbys innerstad. Man ska enkelt kunna tolka skyltarna och hitta till parkerings automaterna samtidigt som det ska smälta in i kulturarvs miljö.

Every plan and program decided on by an authority or municipality, where the environmental impact can be considerable, must be environmentally assessed according to Environmental Code, the Planning and Building Act (PBA) and the Regulation on Environmental Impact Assessment.The purpose of this study is to examine the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for The Region Development Plan for the Stockholm Region, RUFS 2010. The plan was approved by at that time the Regional Planning Office (Regionplanekontoret), which procured the process by consultants. RUFS 2010 includes two merged plans ie. a regional Development Plan (RUP) and the Regional Spatial Plan for Stockholm. It was necessary to establish an environmental assessment of RUP, but not for the regional plan.

Ledarutveckling är idag en företeelse som fått stor uppmärksamhet i organisationer och i samhället i övrigt och som har kommit att bli en miljardindustri. Uppsatsen syftar till att ge en ökad förståelse för hur sektionschefer i en region inom Skatteverket tar tillvara ny kunskap i sitt arbete efter ledarutveckling. Undersökningen bygger på kvalitativ metod där semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex sektionschefer har genomförts för insamlandet av empiri. Resultatet visar att cheferna efter ledarutveckling anser sig ha utvecklats som människor samt att de fått praktisk nytta av det de lärt sig, främst vid samtal med medarbetare. Utbildningarna har även resulterat i att samtliga chefer har utvecklats i sitt ledarskap då de främst fått insikt i hur man agerar och tänker i olika situationer.

The aim of this thesis is to assess the strategic importance of Central Asia as a whole and interests of great powers in the region in particular within the theoretical framework chosen. The work shows Central Asia as an area of the New Great Game, analogue of the original Great Game which was played out between the British Empire and Tsarist Russia in XIX century. The parallels between the original Great Game and the New Great Game are drawn in order to understand the scope and the true intentions of the players of the latter one. Also, the security issues in the contemporary Central Asia are explored and analyzed to provide with the background for future predictions. Furthermore, the indirect purpose of the thesis is to examine whether the international system has changed from that of two centuries ago by comparing the structure of the international systems at the time of two Games.

Projektet har till syfte att undersöka den revolutionerande tekniken bakom IP-telefoni. Eftersom tekniken är relativt ung så finns det fortfarande mycket att lära om hur det fungerar och hur den används. Projektet behandlar fördelar och nackdelar samt vilka hot som finns och hur man kan känna sig säker när man använder IP-telefoni till vardags. Det primära objektivet med projektet är att få en helhetsbild och förstå hur tekniken verkligen fungerar.Vidare behandlas telefonens historia då det är viktigt att se var tekniken har sina rötter och hur den utvecklats sedan dess. Som en röd tråd från telefonens teknologi och det publika telefonnätets rötter görs en jämförelse mellan de två teknologierna för att se skillanderna och förmodade fördelar och nackdelar med de båda systemen.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att inventera olika förekommande skredriskmodeller som man kan utföra med hjälp av GIS-teknik, detta för att sedan föreslå och implementera en modell för Vägverket Region Mitt för att kunna lokalisera riskbenägna vägsträckor med avseende på skred. Inom projektets ramar ingick att utifrån de befintliga databaser som finns inom Vägverket Region Mitt utföra riskanalyser i GIS-programvaran ArcView 3.2 och tilläggen Spatial Analyst och Geoprocessing. I detta arbetssteg gjordes också en analys av de befintliga databaserna med avseende på dess ursprung och kvalitet för att vara medveten om på vilken nivå analysresultatet kan användas. Slutligen analyserades GIS-resultatet av geoteknikern Nenad Jelisic som har många års erfarenhet av ras och skred inom Vägverket Region Mitt. Detta för att kunna utröna om resultatet kan användas för att påvisa områden där stabilitetsförhållanden bör uppmärksammas och om metoden kan vara ett stöd för Vägverket Region Mitt i översiktliga planeringsprocesser såsom i vägutredningar och förstudier.

Fokus i den här uppsatsen ligger på samverkan mellan tre offentliga utvecklingsaktörer i Skåne; Region Skåne, Länsstyrelsen Skåne och kommunerna. En god samverkan dessa aktörer emellan anses generellt vara viktigt, och något av en grundläggande aspekt, för att den hållbara stadsutvecklingen i Skåne ska ledas i rätt riktning. Det teoretiska ramverk som används i uppsatsen målar upp en bild av hur samverkansprocesser kan te sig i verkligheten, samt belyser hur problem och utmaningar kan tacklas. Ramverket består av främst governance och collaborative planning ? två teorier som är relevanta för både samverkan och hållbar stadsutveckling.

I denna rapport presenteras ett sätt att detektera handskrivna ordobjekt i inskannade dokument. Rapporten belyser också några av de problem som förekommer vid detektion av handskrivna ordobjekt. Detektionen görs med hjälp av en indelning av bilden i rektangulära regioner. Därefter används enmaskininlärningsalgoritm för att klassificera regionerna som antingen handskriven text eller övrigt.För att klassificera en region behövs mätvärden för en region, såsom area, som en algoritm kan använda. De flesta som testas och används i denna rapport har använts tidigare för att detektera handskriven text.

An important task for Region Skåne is to allocate resources to the health care districts. From 1999 to 2002 Region Skåne used needs-based resource allocation as a model for allocating resources. In a needs-based resource allocation individuals with the same socioeconomic and demographic characteristics are assumed to have the same level of need and are therefore allocated the same amount of resources. During the period of needs-based resource allocation a matrix model was used as a method. In the matrix model individuals were divided into cells after each combination of the socioeconomic and demographic variables.
