This thesis is divided into two parts. Part one contains a general description of the flexographic printingtechnique. Part two contains a more detailed investigation in the areas substrate, inktransfer and trends, which are only briefly commented in part one, and conclusions and comments.The major problem concerning substrate is washboard. This phenomena can be limited if one can control and minimize the amount of glue applied in the single- and double facer, use high surface weight on liner, use low surfaceweight on fluting and control the humidity during the conditioning of the corrugated board. Corrugated board with a smooth surface radically increases the quality in print.

Byggbranschen är i förändring och sättet att bygga utvecklas ständigt. Dock kritiseras ofta byggbranschen för att vara dålig på att utvecklas och inte uppdatera sig i den hastighet som behövs. Något måste göras för att snabba på utvecklingen och kanske kan 3D-skrivare vara ett alternativ i framtiden. Detta examensarbete syftar därför till att ta reda på mer om den nya tekniken och dess möjligheter för att kunna förbättra byggprocessen.Examensarbetet handlar om att ta reda på vad som finns idag när det gäller 3D-skrivare och att försöka ta temperaturen på tekniken. Kan man använda en 3D-skrivare för att skriva ut komponenter eller kanske till och med ett helt hus? Finns det någon som börjat inom byggbranschen? Går det att börja använda 3D-skrivare redan idag?För att ta reda på vad som finns började arbetet med att söka information på internet.

I dag erbjuds självscanning hos de flesta större livsmedelskedjorna i Sverige. Tjänsten tillåter kunderna att på ett smidigt sätt nyttja en mobil scannerenhet för att själva scanna varor direkt inne i butiken, samtidigt som varorna kan packas ner löpande i bärkassar. Processen erbjuder kunder direkt kontroll över den reella kostnaden samtidigt som den sparar tid. Systemet fungerar dock smidigast för kunder som handlar stora mängder livsmedel och tar hjälp av en kundvagn med monterad avlastningshållare för scannerenheten. För de kunder som besöker butiken för att handla en mindre mängd varor som ryms i en vanlig plastkasse och inte är i behov av en stor kundvagn återfinns stora brister i systemet.
