The Swedish working-class author Ivar Lo-Johansson (1901-1990) wrote a collection of one hundred short stories between the years 1968-1972. Storm water is rain and melted snow that runs off, primarily from impervious surfaces.Future storm water management is facing the challenges of increased precipitation, asclimate changes, and increased areas of impervious surfaces due to the expansion anddensification of the cities. Impervious surfaces reduce the potential for water to infiltratein the ground leading to increased surface runoff and higher peak discharge.The runoff coefficient is closely related to the percentage of impervious surfaces andrepresents the maximum percentage of a catchment that can contribute to runoff. In thisstudy, the objective was to evaluate the weighted runoff coefficient for three differenturban types; apartment buildings, townhouses and residential areas and a comparisonbetween today and the 1970`s was made.The runoff coefficient was determined by manual mapping of the different surface typesin each area based on data in the form of orthophotos and aerial photographs. The surfacetypes that were mapped were asphalt, permeable areas, tiles, sand/gravel and roof.Tiles and sand/gravel were the most difficult surface types to map. In order to see towhat extent these categories influenced the weighted runoff coefficient a sensitivityanalysis was carried out and the runoff coefficient based on surface type was changed indifferent scenarios.The results of the sensitivity analysis showed that the surface types tiles and sand/gravelhad little impact on the weighted runoff coefficient which in mainly due to the fact thatthe percentage of these surfaces types of the total area is small.The result of the study showed that the largest change in the runoff coefficient occurredin residential areas where the increase in the percentage of impervious surfaces causedby new roofs in the form of porches and garages and from paved or tiled driveways.

What are the competencies and qualifications required by employers concerning the first line executives in medical care? In this paper we aim to scrutinise this question by analysing the significance of terms reproduced by employers in advertisements between 1971 and 2007.Our survey concerns 93 advertisements and two interviews with knowledgeable authorities on personnel administration in the county council of Jönköping municipality, Sweden. Using a theoretical framework developed by Ellström our results point out how the demands of the employer have changed starting in the 1970?s. We set fore, as a way of conclusion, the setting of competency and qualifications required by the employer have not only increased but appears much more comprehensive and far more complex than ever before..

A new curriculum, entailing news for teachers as well as students, was implemented in 2011. Among other things History has been given a more prominent position in that every student will now study the subject. Can this decision lead to history being used more in the future?The aim of this thesis is to study the new curriculum, Gy11, as well the Lpf94 and Lgy70, based on Klas-Göran Karlsson´s typology where the use of history is divided into seven different categories. I will analyze the curricula, looking at what different uses of history that can be discerned as well as what changes have been made over time.

Den här uppsatsen är en studie av läromedel från 1960-talet och fram till idag. Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka hur ämnesområdet ateism tas upp samt i vilken omfattning man gör det i läroböcker från 1960-talet fram till idag.Det jag kommit fram till utifrån mina frågeställningar är följande:Av alla de läroböcker som jag tagit upp i undersökningen är det bara de två böckerna från 1960-talet som låter ateismen få ha en egen rubrik.I de böcker jag nämner från 70-talet och fram till 90-talet tycker jag att de kapitel som tar upp ateism har en viss negativ laddning i sitt uttryck. Religionslös, religionskritik och frågan: ?Finns Gud? Till skillnad från dessa böcker så har läroböckerna från 1990-talet och framåt kapitel, där man tar upp ateism, som har ett positivare uttryck. ?Livets mening?, ?Sökande efter en livskompass?, ?Livsåskådningar utan Gud? och ?Religioner och livsåskådningar?.Ateismen får även en negativ innerbörd när den förknippas så intimt med marxismen och därmed också med de hemskheter som gjorts i marxismens namn.

The aim with this Masters thesis is to examine the professional knowledge of the librarian. The method used is text analysis of a state public investigation, SOU 1969:37, that concerns librarian education. The theoretical starting point is a theory of knowledge thats descended from Aristotle. Three different forms of knowledge are central concepts in the theory: the theoretical, the practical and the ethical. The main issue in this thesis is: In what ways did the investigators look at the librarians knowledge? Was it in a changeable period of time? In that case, what reasons could there be? The conclusion shows that educational political changes were affecting the whole educational sphere at the late 1960:s, and in the beginning of the 1970:s, including library education.

 Denna uppsats handlar om huruvida det har skett en förändring i svenskans adjektivkomparation under de senaste årtiondena. Undersökningen består av två moment. I moment ett har jag jämfört korpusarna Talbanken, som innehåller presstexter från 1960-talet och 1970-talet, och SUC (Stockholm-Umeå Corpus), som innehåller presstexter från 1990-talet, med fokus på förekomsten av suffixkomparation och perifrastisk komparation. Moment två har bestått av att undersöka hur 50 utvalda adjektiv kompareras i Språkbankens konkordanser Press 65 och Press 98. Resultaten av undersökningen visar att den perifrastiska komparationen har ökat i användning, men även att suffixkomparation har ökat bland vissa adjektiv.

Denna uppsats undersöker sambandet mellan löneförhandlingssystemets utformning ochjämviktsarbetslöshet samt reala lönekostnader med paneldata för 20 OECD länder underperioden 1970-2003. Trots omfattande empirisk forskning saknas det fortfarande konsensus ilitteraturen gällande relationen mellan graden av centralisering i löneförhandlingarna ocharbetslöshet. Nyare forskning har till och med hävdat att det inte finns något systematisktsamband. Mina resultat ger i första hand stöd för korporatismskolans teori om ett negativtmonotont samband mellan graden av koordinering/centralisering i löneförhandlingssystemetoch jämviktsarbetslöshet respektive reala lönekostnader..

Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka de metoder som användes under olika tidsperioder för barns läsinlärning. Vi ville veta mer om samhällets värderingar i de gällande perioderna och hur den rådande barnsynen påverkade läsinlärningsforskningen samt varför metoderna egentligen uppkom. Om det visade sig att de olika läsinlärningsmetoderna är en avspegling på de samhälleliga förhållandena så ville vi veta hur. Vi gjorde en litteraturstudie för att finna svaren på våra frågeställningar och det gjorde vi i tidigare forskning samt litteratur. Vi kom fram till att samhällets utveckling och barnsyn har påverkat utformandet av de olika läsinlärningsmetoderna.

The actual project presents the development of a testing rig for a steam engine. A short overviewabout the development of steam engines is presented, until arriving to the development of thepresent engine, which will require to be tested in different ways.The testing rig studied on this project (based on a Lanchester engine) will be used to testdifferent materials and layouts for the group Piston-Cylinder.The engine is a high performance steam power engine, which is going to have a highpower/dimensions ratio, what will lead to require high performance components and materials.An introduction to the testing rig is presented, and the entire design project is done in order toreplace the disappeared documentation of the current testing rig, built on the 1970?s. This thesis sets out to examine how feminist struggle can be negotiated, defined and motivated. By using Oral history as a theoretical and methodological framework, three persons narrative are being constructed, explored and discussed throughout the thesis. All the interviewees define themselves as women and feminists and have all practised music in different separatist rock and pop-groups from 1970 to present. Themes as music as political action, and separatism for persons who define themselves as women are discussed. The tree informants agree about some feministic goals such as equality and the right to be able to play and perform music regardless of gender identity, although the means to reach these goals are formulated differently. .
