More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

AbstractThe purpose of this essay is to study in what way teachers in preschool work with pupils enabling them to gain influence and involvement in their learning.Influence means being able to make your voice heard which is an important component of a democratic society. Involvement is about being part of a community in which everyone is welcomed regardless of beliefs and opinions. Several of today's researchers believe that learning occurs in interaction between people. Teachers providing meaningful assignments to pupils, they become more motivated to learn.The study is based on observations of how teachers work with influence and involvement in controlled sessions, and interpretations of them. My results show that children become involved in their learning when they are confronted with a variety of pedagogical approaches to learning.

The purpose of the study is to contribute knowledge about the representation of fiction authors who have written in languages other than Swedish in educational school books within the Swedish subject. This is done in relation to the school's promotion of cultural diversity, a globalized world and to the Swedish curriculum. The study is a combination of a qualitative and a quantitative analysis that takes its starting point in six educational books for the courses Swedish 1 and 2. The analysis shows that all study materials include a broad representation of authorships from Europe and the USA. The selection of authors from other parts of the world is, however, limited.

AbstractIn my work on language development in preschool the purpose was to examine how and to what extent the pre-school supports children with special needs in their language development. Trough qualitative interviews with four preschool teachers, I wanted to see how they work with language development in preschool. In the study, Main questions asked in the inquiry :How do teachers and support children?s language development?What techniques, resources and tools available to facilitate language development? The conclusion that I made from my inquiry is that the primary language stimulation methods teachers use to encourage children?s language development are rhymes telling, books reading and song singing based on active selection of pieces that match the children?s maturity level.And how they are using different language stimulation techniques Karlstad model, TAKK (Signs of augmentative and alternative communication) and TRAS (Early registration of language development) to promote children?s language development. Keyword: Language development, language stimulation, treatment, communication, methods..

Konst?kares upplevelser av tidig specialisering - En j?mf?relse av konst?kare i Sverige och Lettland

Syfte: Syftet med studien ?r att utforska upplevelsen av hur tidig specialisering p?verkar konst?kare mentalt, socialt och kulturellt. Metod: Tillv?gag?ngs?ttet ?r kvalitativt, med semi-strukturerade intervjuer och tillh?rande inneh?llsanalys. Totalt intervjuades sex deltagare, varav tre fr?n Sverige och tre fr?n Lettland. Resultat: Identifierade teman sammanst?lldes till social- och mental p?verkan, samt tr?nares roll. De st?rsta kulturella skillnaderna ?r f?ljande.

Arbetet behandlar sÀttet att sjunga folkvisan frÄn bondesamhÀllet till modern tid. Mitt syfte Àr att ta reda pÄ om sÀttet att sjunga folkvisan har förÀndrats genom Ären, vidare vill jag undersöka hur folksÄngen har förÀndrats och vad det beror pÄ. Jag har intervjuat fem kvinnor som alla Àr verksamma folksÄngerskor, anvÀnt mig av litteraturstudium och lyssnat till arkivinspelningar. I mitt arbete har jag kommit fram till att folksÄngen har förÀndrats under Ärens lopp. En skillnad som blev tydlig för mig Àr att sÄngarna förr generellt sjöng pÄ ett mer osentimentalt sÀtt och att sÄngarna i dag ofta lÀgger större vikt vid att tolka texten och att de drillar mer idag.
