Den ökade globaliseringen och senaste finanskrisen ställer höga krav på uppföljning och medvetenhet av ett företags prestation. Business Intelligence (BI) är ett område vars syfte är att förbättra en organisations prestation genom analys av historisk data. BI är ett komplext område som inte bara handlar om tekniska lösningar, även om det är en förutsättning. För närvarande investeras det mycket i olika BI-lösningar och företagen behöver veta vad resurserna bör läggas på. I dagsläget finns det ingen modell som bedömer ett företags arbete med Business Intelligence utifrån ett flertal dimensioner.Syftet med den här studien var att utveckla en mognadsmodell för Business Intelligence och sedan jämföra de undersökta företagen Axfood, Scania och Systembolagets mognad.

Background and Problem discussion: Strategic evaluations are important as they providecrucial information regarding Swedish development assistance and recommendations on howto face problems and inadequacies found in the evaluations. Therefore, the follow up ofrecommendations is of great significance as well. Unfortunately, SIDA?s ManagementResponse system for follow-up of strategic evaluations has not been functioning in asatisfying way and needed actions have not been taken. Thus, Swedish developmentassistance has been criticised for the lack of implemented actions and the public has startedto question the work carried through by the organisations.

The goal of this project was to create a web-based, crowd-sourced, correlational database, that easily allowed users to submit objects and receive correlated objects as results. The webservice was created in the web development languages of HTML, CSS, PHP and Javscript, with MySQL to handle the database. Simultaneous development was kept in check with the aid of the source code management system GIT. Upon completion, the service contained several HTML-views, the ability to add and rate objects, a per-object dedicated page with information parsed from Wikipedia.org, and a view with objects ranked in accordance to the preferences specific to the current user. Roughly a month after the beginning of development, the website was publicly launched and promoted in order to collect data, and improvements were added to the website as needed.

A literature review of contaminants; cadmium, methylmercury, dioxins, and PCB, for eleven different fish species (Greenland halibut, gilt headed bream, sea bass, wolffish, hoki, ocean perch, angler, Nile perch, pangasius, red snapper and tilapia) that were selected in concurrence with the National Food Administration. The result can be used by the National Food Administration to gain further knowledge about the different fish species to be able to continue to give advice to varied risk category and the public. The gilt headed bream and sea bass were the only fishes whose values for mercury exceeded the limit of 0,5 mg/kg (EU Reg. 1881/2006). In the angler, Nile perch and pangasius the mean value of mercury didn?t exceed the limit, however in some individuals the mercury content did exceed what is allowed.

The intention of this qualitative study is to describe and analyse women's violence against men from the perspective of authorities and volunteer organisations. Data has been collected trough semi-structured interviews with six respondents stemming from the police, social services and a help organisation for men respectively. The data has been analysed using existing research and common theories about power, sex and gender. The study shows that IPV does not only contain physical violence, but also acts of psychological-, sexual-, economical-, material-, and latent violence as well as the fact that one act of violence almost never exists alone. It is shown that women more often use psychological abuse against their partner then men do and also that men tend to stay longer in an abusive relationship then women.

Denna rapport är uppdelad i två delar. Den första delen undersöker, med data från drygt 16 000 lastbilar, om Scanias Grönt Kort-avtal minskar risken att få föreläggande vid besiktning. Utifrån dessa data undersöks även vilken typ av bilar som har Grönt Kort-avtal. Regressionsanalys görs med hjälp av logitmodeller. Resultatet tyder på att Grönt Kort-avtalet minskar risken för föreläggande.

The focus is partly on the recent discovery of the Higgs boson, and partly on how software can be used to simulate processes in particle accelerators. Basic concepts of particle physics and the search for the Higgs boson are discussed, and experimental results, including those from the Large Hadron Collider, are compared with simulations made in MadGraph 5. Furthermore, simple new models of particle physics are created in FeynRules, in order to make simulations based on the models. To support the presentations of these aspects, some of the underlying theory is built from the ground up.

Vårt syfte med denna studie är att belysa vilka förutsättningar och hinder som chefer inom Landstinget i Östergötland upplever att det finns för att ett gott ledarskap och en god samverkan mellan tre chefsnivåer ska kunna infinna sig i verksamheten idag.Vi har samlat in data genom intervjuer. Urvalet gjorde vi strategiskt och urvalsgruppen bestod av nio stycken chefer på tre olika nivåer. Den insamlade data analyserades med hjälp av deskriptiv kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Vi har inspirerats av fenomenologin och arbetat induktivt i denna studie.En slutsats är att cheferna har få påverkansmöjligheter på många av faktorerna som verkar hindrande på ledarskapet och samverkan mellan chefsnivåerna. Vår andra slutsats är att mellanmänskliga relationer är avgörande för att förutsättningar för detta ska skapas.

This essay will examine in which way festival tourism can affect the physical location of a festival and to operationalize this we implemented a case study of the music festival Storsjöyran. Storsjöyran is a Swedish music festival held annually in the city of Östersund and since the festival, with the accompanying festival week, attract up to 300 000 visitors annually, we wanted to see what impact the festival contributed to from a development perspective of the destination. The method for gathering data has consisted of both qualitative and quantitative approaches and the data was collected via interviews and questionnaires. We also presented various theories about festival tourism and destination development, as well as previous research on urban festivals. The conclusion is that Storsjöyran contributes to a variety of factors which can help Östersund to a destination development and increased tourism.

Den första november 2010 trädde ett nytt regelverk ikraft, en frivillig revision, ett regelverk som berör aktiebolag och deras valfrihet att välja fri revision. Aktiebolag som har möjlighet att välja fri revision benämns mikroföretag, dem verkar inom ramen för regelverkets gränsvärden. Ambitionen med studien är att undersöka vilka faktorer som gör att mikroföretag i Sverige väljer att anlita revisor, fastän de enligt lag inte behöver. Studien är en surveyundersökning som bygger på kvalitativ data från intervjuer med 30 stycken mikroföretagare. Studien resulterade i att mikroföretagarna som väljer att anlita revisor gör det på grund av olika orsaker, det som förekom mest frekvent hos mikroföretagarna är att de gör det; för sin egen skull, för sitt eget välbefinnande, förändring tar tid, informationsasymmetri, skatteverket och behov av rådgivning.För att kunna säga att dessa anledningar till att anlita revisor är signifikanta för mikroföretag i Sverige föreslås en framtida studie, exempelvis en surveyundersökning med kvantitativ data..

?Motivation is the desire within a person causing that person to act? (Mathis & Jackson, 2009, p. 24). Motivation is what makes people act. Lately a tool to create more motivation called Gamification has been more and more popular to use. This study is focusing on the subject motivation and also how gamification can be used as a tool to get more of that.

Purpose ? The purpose of this study is to develop a work method to be used by manufacturing companies that are interested in updating which items that should be presented in the materials exposure. To fulfill the purpose an investigation has been conducted to decide which aspects are important to consider and how the aspects can be used to determine which items that should be presented in the materials exposure. Methodology ? To fulfill the purpose of the study, the method has been based on an abductive approach where theory has been layered with empiricism. The main method within this study has been a case study at Volvo Powertrain AB in Skövde with a materials exposure as the analytical unit.

Allt hårdare konkurrens har medfört att det är desto viktigare att beslutsansvariga i ett företag fattar snabba och korrekta beslut. För att förbättra och effektivisera beslutsfattandet och samtidigt skapa sig fördelar i förhållande till marknadskonkurrenterna, kan beslutsansvariga använda sig av ett datalager. Datalagret kan genom enorma mängder data som är insamlade från ett stort antal olika system, generera stora fördelar för ett företag. Men detta gäller dock endast under förutsättningen att datalagret är skyddat på ett lämpligt vis. Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka lämpliga skyddsåtgärder som kan användas för att uppnå och bibehålla ett säkert datalager.

This project was started within the Market-Design programme of Elforsk, with the aim of developing representative test systems of Swedish distribution networks. Using such test systems as a basis for reliability and customer interruption cost calculations makes it feasible to analyse the network tariff regulation of Swedish power  istribution companies. In particular, it enables studies of the incentives for companies to invest in system reliability. Until now, the available test systems are either not representative of Swedish conditions, or too small in scale and limited in function.Within this project we have created two test systems. In order to represent the diversity of actual Swedish distribution networks, we have created one test system for urban environments and another for rural environments.
