Patients with heart failure have a high mortality and often readmits to hospital care, due to a lack of compliance in the treatment plan. Patient education on self-care provided by nurses is important in improving patient and clinical outcomes.The aim of this study was to describe effects of nurse led interventions of patient education for elderly patients with heart failure. Literature study based on nine quantitative scientific articles. The results shows that different nurse led interventions of patient education with patients with heart failure had positive effects on self-care management, quality of life, health related quality of life and hospital care. E-mail reminder to community nurses and telephone education shows to be the most effective patient education interventions.

The main purpose with this study was to get an insight in how to best be able to help children with language difficulties, and learn to see those who are in need of extra help and attention.The study is the result of three separate interviews with a speech therapist, a preschool teacher, and a teacher for children with special needs. The other information that my study is built on comes from books.The answers that I got from the interviews questions, have I built my discussions from.Since I only have done three interviews, can´t I do any general conclusions, from my findings.The answers that I got shows that it`s not always the same answers from the speech therapist, preschool teacher and the teacher for children with special needs, are the same. But most of the answers had a similar conclusion. The most important finding in my study, which also the literature agrees with, is that. Av de läkemedel som förskrivs i Sverige, konsumerar de äldre över 65 år ca 40 %. Anledningen är att denna grupp drabbas av många sjukdomar och behandlas med fler läkemedel. Äldre får generellt sett annorlunda och fler biverkningar än yngre. Syftet med uppsatsen var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskan kan säkerställa en god farmakologisk omvårdnad hos äldre och uppmärksamma de konsekvenser som uppstår till följd av polyfarmaci. Studien utfördes som en litteraturstudie där 22 vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och analyserades varefter två teman framträdde.

The purpose of this paper is to study the connection between Taoism and analytical psychology. This is done by descriptive text analysis of post-jungian literature. Often mentioned when searching for the inspirations and influences on analytical psychology we find references to alchemy, Buddhism, Gnosticism, Hinduism and the hermetic tradition. More seldom do we meet any references to Taoism. My aim is to investigate what gravity do the post-jungians attach to the taoism influence on C.G.

The purpose with this essay is to find out how active teachers think about integrate children with the diagnosis autism into the regular school. The method I have used to find out is a qualitative interview, where I have interviewed three teachers of various age and sex.A person with the diagnosis autism has problems with communication, social interaction and the ability to form a conception. Today, we do not know what causes autism, but we do know that it has to do with a neurological disorder. The word integrate means unite or join together as a wholeness. Many children who have a handicap may feel good to participate in a school where the other pupils do not have a handicap.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to see how technology is presented in different fictional picture books that are available in preschool. Six fictional picture books that have connection to technology in picture and text have been analysed. In order to show how technology can be made visible in fictional picture books, the relation between picture and text has been analysed through a technology perspective. Furthermore, the pictures and the texts have been analysed separately in order to show what they show respectively in terms of technology. The fictional picture book has a potential to be a basis for making technology visible in preschool, which is a step in a new direction.

Skiascopy is used to objectively determine the refractive power of the eye. Except for a Swedish study in 2007, where 93 horses of different breeds and ages were examined with respect to their refractive status, most studies on equine refraction were published about one century ago or more. The objective of this study is to examine the refractive status of healthy warm-blooded trotting horses. Skiascopy was performed in 117 horses in total, aged 3 days to approximately 22 years old. In a pilot study, it was determined whether young horses were able to accommodate or not during skiascopy. The horses in the pilot study were all younger than 14 months. In foals younger than 1,5 months we saw a significant difference in the skiascopy result in the right eyes before and after topical atropine was instilled, but not in the left eye.

Att åldras är en stor förändring både för de som bor kvar hemma och för dem som väljer att flytta till ett särskilt boende. Vilka upplevelserna är och vad det innebär har intresserat oss under vår utbildning och därför beslutade vi oss för att ta en djupare titt på detta fenomen. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka upplevelsen äldre människor har av att flytta till ett särskilt boende och efter att ha bott där under en kort tid. Vi valde att använda en kvalitativ metod och genomförde sex intervjuer med personer som nyligen flyttat till ett särskilt boende. Resultatet visade att förändringen kunde delas in i fysiska, psykologiska och sociala upplevelser. I den fysiska upplevelsen var känslor förknippade med fysiskt beroende av omsorgspersonal samt den kroppsliga förändringen för de äldre.

Bakgrund: Genom tusentals år har människor och sällskapsdjur levt sida vid sida. Tidigare studier har fokuserat på de fysiska, psykiska och sociala effekterna djur har på människor.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteratur studie är att undersöka vilken betydelse sällskapsdjur har i omvårdnaden av den äldre människan.Metod: Till denna litteraturstudie samlades data in från databasernaCinahl och Swemed. I studien användes metodprocessens åtta steg enligt Polit och Beck (2004). Tre kategorier framkom ur analysen. Dessa tre kategorier var: sällskapsdjurs betydelse för den äldre människan, sällskapsdjur som terapi och problem som kan uppstå för den äldre människan som vill umgås med djur.Resultat: Resultaten visar att sällskapsdjur har en viktig roll för många äldre människor.

AIMThis thesis purpose is to fill a knowledge gap of research into football-related violence and media. The objective is to create an understanding of how football-related violence is portrayed in the Swedish tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen.METHODTo reach the desideratum we used a qualitative content analysis of 198 articles concerning football-related violence. To analyse the results we used theories regarding ?Framing?, ?the three ?I?s and the ?Stigma-theory?.MAIN RESULTSThe result from the initial analysis showed a heavy reliance on ?frames? by media outlets. This tended to make the news seem more sensational, dramatized and subsequently more readable than it otherwise would have been.

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to analyze the experience of being a woman diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Another aim was to analyze how the women think itwould have influenced them, if they had been diagnosed during childhood.In the study, with a qualitatively approach, three women diagnosed with ADHD were interviewed. The data was analyzed with qualitative content analysis.The result shows that the women perceived affirmation when they received their diagnosis but they also pointed out that they had wished to receive the diagnose during childhood to avoid unnecessary suffering.The conclusion of the study was that it is essential to, as early as possible, follow up deviances in children and adolescents. Therefore, there is a need for more knowledge of how symptoms of ADHD in girls present itself.It is reasonable to believe that if healthcare and school have increased knowledge of symptoms of ADHD in girls, then these girls would be diagnosed at an earlier time.Keywords:ADHD,women,girls,treatment,self?esteem.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva äldre personers erfarenheter av aktiviteter efter pensionering. Då författarna ville lyfta fram erfarenheter valdes en kvalitativ metod. Åtta intervjuer utfördes med pensionärer boende i en kommun i södra Sverige. Intervjumaterialet analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys vilket resulterade i tre kategorier: Förändringar av aktivitetsmönster i samband med pensionering, Pensionärers utförande av dagliga aktiviteter samt Betydelsen av att vara aktiv. Resultatet från de tre kategorierna visade hur aktivitetsmönstret förändrades efter pension och deltagarna beskrev att det var viktigt att ha aktiviteter att sysselsätta sig med på dagarna.

Bakgrund: Beröring är livsviktigt genom hela livet. Människor mellan 66 och 100 år är de som får minst beröring. Beröring är en form av icke verbal kommunikation som kan förmedla kontakt och inge trygghet. Då äldre personer ofta får nedsatt kommunikationsförmåga blir den icke nödvändiga beröringen, det vill säga beröring som inte relaterat till omvårdnadsuppgifter, ett naturligt kommunikationsmedel. Syftet: Belysa icke nödvändig beröring i omvårdnaden av äldre personer.

Det övergripande syftet med studien har varit att skildra hur personal på fyra kommunala äldreboenden definierat begreppet värdegrund samt hur de tillämpat den i det praktiska arbetet med de äldre. I studien har begreppen KASAM, Empowerment samt en problematisering av värdegrundskomponenterna använts för att analysera resultaten av interjuverna. Resultat av studien visade på att det finns en enighet bland personalen i hur man definierar värdegrundskomponenter. De gav dock samtidigt uttryck för komplexiteten i att komponenterna kan ha flera betydelser, vara nära besläktade och i vissa fall motsägelsefulla. Personalen såg på begreppen som mål för sitt arbete och menade på att uppfyllelse av målen genererar en bättre hälsa och välbefinnande för den äldre.
